When I travel this question always comes up to me.  Where do we want to stay? In a Touristic Apartment or in a Hotel Room?

I came up with a list of things to consider when making this decision.

First, it is very important to consider how many people will be traveling.  When I travel by myself or with a friend is always cheaper to get a hotel room.  Normally a double room or even a triple will be less expensive than getting an apartment.  Apartments are normally designed for 4 or more people.

Second, if you want to self serve or get served? An apartment is a very good option if you don’t mind doing everything for yourself.  You get the option of having a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals.  Have breakfast in your pajamas and feel as if you were at home.  But sometimes you travel in another mood, the mood that you wish to be served, and in this occasion what is very good is a Hotel Room.  You normally have someone that will serve breakfast to you.

Third, also very important, space. In an apartment you will normally get more room to move around. Most of the tourist apartments you have your own living room, kitchen, bathroom, etc. You can move around as you wish.  That is good most for most of the trips, but for certain trips what you want is socializing with other people, which you can find in a Hotel.  In a lot of hotels you can find people in the area of the restaurant or the living room.  People are in the same situation as you, in a new town and sometimes a little bit lost.  This helps meeting people from other countries.
