Question by ❤ Zaya and Tony’s Momma ❤: my
family is making me so mad about my decision!?
How to Pick Glasses – i swear no one in my family has ever been supportive of me and my
decision to breastfeed!
when i had my first son i still lived with my mother, so he got
nipple confusion cuz my mom would always give him bottles, and
we eventually had to start supplementing cuz my milk starting
drying up because of it.
well anyways i am now having another baby and out of my parents
house but he is due in 4 weeks and i have mostly everything
ready. so my mom and grandma came over today and was looking at
all the baby stuff. she kept asking me how come i didnt have
any bottles. i told her i didnt need them cuz i was gonna be
breastfeeding. she proceeded to tell me “ok so your just gonna
let your baby starve then” WTF!! that just got me mad. and then
she called me right now and said she was picking up some things
for the baby…..she wanted to know if everything was taken
care of and says “ok i got a couple more
receiving blankets, some burp cloths, mittens, and what kind of
bottles do you want…plastic or glass?”
when is she gonna get it thru her head that i dont need them! i
understand she is trying to help, but she is kinda just making
me mad. what would you do??

Wow. People are rude. You have made a decision. They need to
keep their snarky comments to themselves. Just ignore them. Do
your best to ignore them, do what you feel is right for YOU and
YOUR baby.
I had the same problem with my first baby. My mother stayed with me for a month, but if I was sleeping, showering, or went to the store to get something, she would feed my baby from a bottle! I wondered why my baby never latched on, why my baby was never interested. My mother sabotaged my efforts. Anyway, it was bad and hurt my feelings pretty deeply. Well, I am pregnant again, and plan on breastfeeding again, but this time, I will not have my mother over. I suggest you just not invite these people over if you feel they are sabotaging your efforts as well.

Question by Such Great Heights: Is having too
much dialogue bad writing?
How to Pick Glasses – Is this bad writing, it’s not mine, it’s
an excerpt from A Perfect Day for Bananafish, which has a lot
of dialogue. You don’t need to read it all, I just copied and
pasted a random amount of the story:
With her little lacquer brush, while the phone was ringing, she went over the nail of her little finger, accentuating the line of the moon. She then replaced the cap on the bottle of lacquer and, standing up, passed her left–the wet–hand back and forth through the air. With her dry hand, she picked up a congested ashtray from the window seat and carried it with her over to the night table, on which the phone stood. She sat down on one of the made-up twin beds and–it was the fifth or sixth ring–picked up the phone.
“Hello,” she said, keeping the fingers of her left hand outstretched and away from her white silk dressing gown, which was all that she was wearing, except mules–her rings were in the bathroom.
“I have your call to New York now, Mrs. Glass,” the operator said.
“Thank you,” said the girl, and made room on the night table for the ashtray.
A woman’s voice came through. “Muriel? Is that you?”
The girl turned the receiver slightly away from her ear. “Yes, Mother. How are you?” she said.
“I’ve been worried to death about you. Why haven’t you phoned? Are you all right?”
“I tried to get you last night and the night before. The phone here’s been–”
“Are you all right, Muriel?”
The girl increased the angle between the receiver and her ear. “I’m fine. I’m hot. This is the hottest day they’ve had in Florida in–”
“Why haven’t you called me? I’ve been worried to–”
“Mother, darling, don’t yell at me. I can hear you
beautifully,” said the girl. “I called you twice last night.
Once just after–”
“I told your father you’d probably call last night. But, no, he
had to-Are you all right, Muriel? Tell me the truth.”
“I’m fine. Stop asking me that, please.”
“When did you get there?”
“I don’t know. Wednesday morning, early.”
“Who drove?”
“He did,” said the girl. “And don’t get excited. He drove very nicely. I was amazed.”
“He drove? Muriel, you gave me your word of–”
“Mother,” the girl interrupted, “I just told you. He drove very nicely. Under fifty the whole way, as a matter of fact.”
“Did he try any of that funny business with the trees?”
“I said he drove very nicely, Mother. Now, please. I asked him to stay close to the white line, and all, and he knew what I meant, and he did. He was even trying not to look at the trees-you could tell. Did Daddy get the car fixed, incidentally?”
“Not yet. They want four hundred dollars, just to–”
“Mother, Seymour told Daddy that he’d pay for it. There’s no reason for–”
“Well, we’ll see. How did he behave–in the car and all?”
“All right,” said the girl.
“Did he keep calling you that awful–”
“No. He has something new now.”
“What?”
“Oh, what’s the difference, Mother?”
“Muriel, I want to know. Your father–”
“All right, all right. He calls me Miss Spiritual Tramp of
1948,” the girl said, and giggled.
“It isn’t funny, Muriel. It isn’t funny at all. It’s horrible. It’s sad, actually. When I think how–”
“Mother,” the girl interrupted, “listen to me. You remember that book he sent me from Germany? You know–those German poems. What’d I do with it? I’ve been racking my–”
“You have it.”
“Are you sure?” said the girl.
“Certainly. That is, I have it. It’s in Freddy’s room. You left it here and I didn’t have room for it in the–Why? Does he want it?”
“No. Only, he asked me about it, when we were driving down. He wanted to know if I’d read it.”
“It was in German!”
“Yes, dear. That doesn’t make any difference,” said the girl, crossing her legs. “He said that the poems happen to be written by the only great poet of the century. He said I should’ve bought a translation or something. Or learned the language, if you please.”
“Awful. Awful. It’s sad, actually, is what it is. Your father said last night–”
“Just a second, Mother,” the girl said. She went over to the window seat for her cigarettes, lit one, and returned to her seat on the bed. “Mother?” she said, exhaling smoke.
“Muriel. Now, listen to me.”
“I’m listening.”
“Your father talked to Dr. Sivetski.”
“Oh?” said the girl.
“He told him everything. At least, he said he did–you know your father. The trees. That business with the window. Those horrible things he said to Granny about her plans for passing away. What he did with all those lovely pictures from Bermuda–everything.”
“Well?” said the girl.
“Well. In the first place, he said it was a perfect crime the Army released him from the hospital–my word of honor. He very definitely told your father there’s a chance–a very great chance, he said–that Seymour may completely lose control of himself. My word of honor.”
“There’s a psychiatrist here at the hotel,” said the girl.
“Who? What’s his name?”
“I don’t know. Rieser

There are a wide variety of candles you can make at home. You
will need to do some research and decide which type of candles
you want to make and sell to know exactly what supplies you
need. Try making a couple of batches adn then assess how much
of each raw material you will need.
To price your candles you need to work out the costs of your
product. These costs include the cost of materials for the
candle, the cost of marketing and selling the candle and the
cost of running your home candle business. The website below
can help you with starting a candle business at your home.

Question by mjbkornfan666: what should i do
about this teacher?
How to Pick Glasses – my friend is haveing a problem with her
english teacher
she’s very shy, and thinks that the teacher is picking on
her
i can see that it could be blown out of preportion, but i can
also seee her side
the teacher kinda talks down to her in class in front of
everyone
like she was at a far corner of the classroom and the teacher
told her to read the board, so she squinted a bit and the
teacher was saying “oh my god you squint i think you need
glasses.”
then my friend said “i’m fine”
“no you need to do it, do you know how to make an appointment”
she just does that like once a week
and normally she’ll make up sentences around her
like “anwer me this, do you, (name), ever talk”
so she knows she embarasses her
and then one day she had on a cami with a dress shirt over her
shoulders (completly within the dress code) and then from
across the crowded hall the teacher yells “(full name) pull up
your shirt!!! that’s disgusting!!!”
she cried for the rest of the day
she finally went home
what can i do about this teacher?
Best answer:
Answer by Saiyuki_Anyone?
I would have her parents schedule a conference with the
principal of the school. I think your friend, along with her
parents and also the principal should confront that teacher. I
think the teacher’s behavior was quite inappropriate and I
don’t think it qualifies as being “blown out of proportion”. I
find her behavior has “bullish” and not conducive as an
educational professional.

{I saw a stranger boy which I don’t know. He was around 13, and
he had lost his father at the age of 8. It occurred that A Bus
with High-speed crashed with another bus, and window glass flew
all over. The boy ran straight to the bus and started to
collect the broken glass. I felt surprised. Who would pick up
glass? I ran to him and tried to stop him, because I was afraid
he would cut himself because…it’s glass. All he did was simply
give me a strange look, ignored me and collected all the glass
In a thin bag. Again, I tried to ask him:” Why are you
collecting this glass?”
He replied to me saying:” He wants to sell the glass, so he can
get money to feed himself and his baby sister. But, he did not
know where to sell the glass. He needed to buy baby food for
his sister. His stepfather was not kind, or nice, and he did
not care about them.”
So , he has to take the charge of her baby sister. I asked him
, how much you get everyday. He answered, not more then fifty
taka. He wants to go to school. Many of his friend are school
going. But right now, he even cant dream of it. He becomes
friendly with me. He offered me a ice-cream, So, nice to him.
Again, he started talking, he wants that his baby sister must
go to school. And one day she will take charge of the family.
At the same time , he was concerned about their family
condition. I asked him, why not you go to free school? He
agreed with me but again poverty comes first, how will earn
money for the next day? And this is the only reason to took
glasses from the busy high way or another risky job. He lost
his close friend on a terrible road accident. One day both of
them passing in a road, they used a long stick and at the end
of the stick a magnet attached, they start walking in the
morning and the magnet just grabbed the fallen metal from the
road. Both of them p assing the road, one of magnet ditouched

from back side. He lost his best friend. I asked him what he
wants?
He answered, not much, a sutible job for her mother and a
gurentee that he can start his study again and a better future
for her baby sister.
Can you believe this? This is the slam reality. Both the government and developing organization work on it but if you thing about the personal charity. Not that much optimistic. I used to be an English major in college, and used to proof
read my mom’s college essays for her, so I hope I can help.
Here is how I would present your paper:
I was walking one day and saw a strange boy which I didn’t
know. Suddenly I saw a bus that was going too fast crash into
another bus, causing window glass to fly all over. The boy ran
straight to the bus and started to collect the broken glass. I
felt surprised. Who would pick up glass? I ran to him and tried
to stop him, because I was afraid he would cut himself on the
glass. All he did was simply give me a strange look, He ignored

ask him:” Why are you collecting this glass?”
He replied to me saying:” I want to sell the glass so I can get
money to feed myself and my baby sister. But, I do not know
where to sell the glass”. He needed to buy baby food for his
sister. He said that he was 13 and had lost his father when he
was 8. His stepfather was not kind, or nice, and did not care
about them, so he has to take care of his baby sister. I asked
him ,”How much do you get everyday?” He answered, “Not more
then fifty taka.” He also wants to go to school. Many of his
friend are going to school, but right now he even can’t even
dream of it. He makes friends with me, and he offered me an
ice-cream, So, I’m nice to him. Again, he started talking, he
says that his baby sister must go to school so that one day she
will take charge of the family. At the same time, he was
concerned about their family condition. I asked him, “Why don’t
you go to a free school?” He agreed with me but again t he
financial hardship comes first. He said, “How will I earn money
for tomorrow?” “This is the only reason I took glass from the
busy highway. or have had other risky jobs.” He lost his close
friend on a terrible road accident one day. Both of them were
walking in a road using a long stick with a magnet attached at
the end of it to grab any loose or fallen metal from the road.
They started walking that morning using their sticks, when one
of magnets fell off of his stick. Magnets are very expensive
for them, so his friend took the risk and stepped out in the
road to pick it up. Suddenly, a pick up truck hit him in the
back. He was killed, so he lost his best friend. I felt very
bad for him and asked him if there is anything he would
want.
He answered, “Not much, just a suitable job for my mother, a
guarantee that I can start my studies again, and a way to
provide a better future for my baby sister.”
Can you believe this? This is the slam reality. Both the
government and developing organizations work on it, but if you
think about the personal charity, it’s not very optimistic. If
we cut a little bit of luxury from our daily lives, I am pretty
sure that one day we will be able to vanish the poverty from
our country. We are living on this earth together, so let’s do
our part to help each other. Let’s do something, Today is the

I really liked your story. It opened my eyes to how some people are suffering in the world. I hope that I helped you, and that you get the job. Good luck!

Question by K: Freshman school year ,need help .?
How To Buy Glasses – Alright , well I’m diana & I
transferred last year from a private school in another city to my 8th grade middle
school . When I first entered , I kept a low
profile . My clothing was still somewhat flashy , neon shirts
& skinny jeans with my signature pair of shoes . As the
year went on , the group of friends would make
fun of me behind my back everytime i talked about a guy to
everyone , so I ended it . it turns out , many people knew me .
I went awhile without friends ,then turned to the 2nd lowest
group on the scale of popularity within reason. I made some
good friends & a lot of popular people started teasing me
& saying terrible things behind my back. It was the final
semester when I got up and started standing up for myself ,
which landed in summer-online teasing. Now, I’m going into
freshman year without my glasses , “scener” , straighter
hair . I want to maintain a low profile and have 1 best friend
[pref. someone like me] and some other girlfriends &
hopefully a crush who knows I exist and whom I aquaint with .
How can I do this while still mainting my few old friends, good
grades, and not being picked on by th e older kids . I don’t
want to go through another year of crap but I am for certain that I shall be
made fun of once more by the main clique. I know I will have to
stand up for myself but any detailed tips on how to wear my
clothes , be a good kid , stop my humor from being dry &
outright annoying , and land myself some decent friends. I’m
looking to move up to the more average category rather than
maintaining this loser persona . And becoming friends with
“emo/punk/scene” people will not work because they rarely exist
where I live. Also, a dumb question I know, but what type of
items should I buy? Should I carry a tote or backpack ? [we can
carry them around with us] . I got mocked last year for having a big purse that i carried
around with me so how can I avoid this . Any & all help is needed .

chanel glasses sun – VENICE, May 14, 2009 A cruise show on a boardwalk snaking along the Venice Lido with the sun about to set, gentle waves rolling in, and a whisper of a breeze to make sinuous shapes flutter in movementit couldn’t have been a more poetic or, given the times, more uniquely audacious Chanel moment. “I wanted to reinvent the mystique,” said Karl Lagerfeld, talking about locating the collection in one of Coco Chanel’s favorite summer haunts—she visited Venice for almost ten years beginning in 1919 and met Diaghilev here. But Lagerfeld might also have been speaking about reinstating the long-lost leisurely sensation of a fashion show as an exceptional on e-off experience. The 350 guests reclining on sun beds in the famous white tented cabanas certainly felt privileged to be witnessing the extreme glamour of the designer’s learned-but-light invocation of an important part of Coco Chanel’s biography, one that was overlaid with passing allusions to Visconti, Fellini, the Venice carnival, and the city’s art treasures. “Coco on the Lido,” as Lagerfeld called it, started with a tableau of figures in tricorne hats and cloaks—cover-ups for a play on girdles and bras as bathing suits. Next came Tatjana Patitz promenading in creamy lace as the picture-hatted Edwardian mother in Death in Venice, her sailor-suited son Tadzio and his two sisters in ingenue fan-pleated dresses trailing behind. From there, the sequence took off into matelot- and gondolier-inspired stripes, interpreted in long …
