(More customer reviews)I bought this product wondering how it worked? seems like a great idea!! It is a sound solid looking cooking device, heavy duty stainless steel. But, Instructions are very hard to read (the makers of this product did not use, um well, a person that understands english very well. lol.you wont understand the terms they use. chopping seems to mean mixing they tell you to chop all through out cooking .sometimes im sure they mean mix. Also many obvious spelling errors. very bad instructions! They only offer 3 recipes, the 3 recipes call for already chopped veggies????? thought the focus of this product was NOT to chop your own ???? one of the 3 recipes also calls for can of mushroom soup!!!not very origanal. It is a nice looking soup maker just wish instructions were more user freindly!you would think they would give you recipes to explore and how to use this cooker.

(More customer reviews)I needed a pair of tongs that wouldn't slip from wet or greasy hands. This product is great. Strong stainless steel with rubber inserts to help with the grip. I have a long pair too - that are perfect for working with outdoor grilling and smoking. These are the shorter ones and are just right for working with stove top cooking and serving. Oxo makes similar ones but I like these slightly better.

(More customer reviews)This unit is pressurized by pumping the lid up and down, around 10 strokes will create a good bit of pressure, but that sprays just long enough to almost coat a baking dish for me. Has to be refilled after just a few uses. Mine sort of spits the oil unevenly too. You are supposed to release all the pressure between uses. The whole top unscrews for cleaning, but due to the nature of oil aging and the difficulty of dissolving it, I doubt if I will be able to clean the plastic parts well enough for it to last very long.

Norpro Deluxe Pastry & Pizza Roller Review

(More customer reviews)If you make your own pizza dough this is the roller for you. I actually buy mine from "Fresh and Easy" but it's still the same. I use to use a regular rolling pin but that didn't work out my mom got me this and I've been in love with it ever since. What's so great about it is it's small enough to roll the dough in the pizza pan. With the small rounded end it's easy to get in the corners of the pan and get a ridge on the edges without any effort with the bigger roller it's easy to spread the dough out from the center of the pan. The only thing that you have to watch out for is not to soak it or keep it in water for long, it tends to start discoloring the wood and then start splitting after a while. I season mine with oil every now and then.I've tried the marble version but the handle was cramped and the wire roller holders were twisted (I twisted them back though). The marble version does have some advantages; it's heavier which makes it easier to roll the dough out, its easier to clean, you can put it in the dishwasher and you can let it soak. If you have smaller hands you might like it more. The funny thing is is that Amazon keeps changing pictures of this roller from the shorter wooden roller to the longer version I'm reviewing. Get the longer one.

(More customer reviews)When I was growing up we had a "coiled spring" whisk that was oval rather than round (the main wire, not the coil). It was not quite as flat bottomed at this one, and my mother used it constantly, especially for gravy--and she NEVER had lumpy gravy. I inherited that whisk, but the plating is worn and it rusts easily. Then one day I saw this whisk and said, VIOLA!!! I purchased it, and I use it constantly, even in containers where I used to use regular elongated wire whisks. I use this more than all my other whisks combined! It is perfect for use in saute pans for sauces, and although the wire is metal it does not mar non-stick surfaces. It's worth twice the price--because it is a real workhorse!!! If you've never seen or owned one, get one, and consider it the perfect gift for any cook you know--even cooks that aren't very good ones--this will make them a better cook--especially for sauces and gravies!!!

(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these in December 2009 at $4.95 each. I thought that price was expensive, so you can imagine what I think of Amazon's current price of $16.22. They are worth what I paid for them, and this review should be considered in light of that price, not the current one, which I would never pay. I'm still getting used to cooking tools made of silicone. In this case, I don't think that this particular silicone baster works as well as regular bristle basters. Maybe it's just me still getting use to it, but the silicone seems sloppy when applying marinade and doesn't cover as well. So, functionally, I still prefer bristle brushes.On the positive side, it cleans up well in the dishwasher, better than bristle basters that I usually had to run through twice. There will be no more shedding, which the bristle basters do. I really was sick and tired of the bristles getting into the food. The acrylic handle is sturdy and very attractive.

(More customer reviews)Don't pay attention to the reviewers who think that you brew tea in a tea strainer. You don't cook spaghetti in a spaghetti strainer. This is a tea strainer, made for pour loose leaf brews through AFTER you have brewed your tea, so that you don't wind up with leaves in your cup. This works great for Turkish Coffee as well. So, basically you DO NOT place loose leaves in the wire mesh and pour hot water through it. Place the loose leaves in the hot water and brew them in the tea pot. Pour the tea that you have brewed to your taste through the strainer and into the cup and catch the loose leaves.
