Cupp Bros. Construction "Concrete Contractor of Santa Rosa" California. This project was for Diane Dami who has been a longtime family friend, she lives in Petaluma California. We affectionately call her 'Tiny'.

She purchased a large estate and was having a pool put in for grandkids. The pool shell had been installed by a pool contractor and it was about 4 feet above the remainder of her already large property. So we found it necessary to import approximately 4 ft . tall of compactable fill, backfill and compact over a space that's close to a football field.

So we not just had to import backfill and compact we had to figure out drainage and she needed several concrete steps to make it work with her layout; she wanted a really favorable swimming pool which had a swim up bar including a outside stand up bar on the patio and outside fireplace.

Her son Ray who is my brother's friend ever since childhood; saw a place that we had done at Petaluma Hill Gardens in Santa Rosa. We had also done an extremely large project for Ray and his wife Jennifer personal house in Cotati California that was so nice it's in the real estate magazine as an advertisement. He wanted us to construction raised planters around her place which have built-in seating. These concrete planters were raised about 18 inches tall and 12 inches wide so you could sit probably 70 people around her backyard while not having to have any chairs.

Needless to say i thought this was a great project that turned out nice enough that I would put it on the website and show to all her friends. It had all the components that i needed, large expanse of "colored stamped concrete pool patio" that was done in earth tone colors matte finish, plenty of drainage, plenty of concrete steps going down from the house and going from the raised concrete pool patio area towards the lower area in her south 40 as we call it.

The raised concrete planters had irrigation and as well as landscaping lights that shined up in the palm trees. Gorgeous. She has outside speakers for music and she's ready for almost any level of a large party her grandkids can conjure up.

There were a lot of components for this project therefore it took lots of coordination and planning to get everything in as it really should be one step at a time. So the finished backyard now has barbecue area, outside lighting, outside sound system, waterfall that flows into the pool, swim up bar at the pool, outside standalone fireplace, outside stand up bar complete with tiki hut structure overhead. With her raised planters she's got enough seating for the largest parties you can imagine.

Her south 40 as we refer to it as, is full of more than enough room for volleyball, horse shoes, football, tennis and softball. Lots of room for the children to play.

It was fun as well as a pleasure to work for a family friend, to have the chance to create something which she'd want to use and show off to her friends every day. I thank Ray for trusting us and Tiny for giving us the chance to do this work for them.
