I read a few good reviews on Milwaukee boots and checked out the product information: the reinforced toe to counter shifting damage; the excellent soles for traction and oil resistance; good quality leather; the height for which I had been looking (to protect my legs from hot exhaust pipes); and the flexible innersoles for comfort and lack of break-in period. I was a bit disappointed at first and was going to return them. They seemed clunky and uncomfortable, but for some reason I gave them another try. Rode my motorcycle all day with these and they were terrific! All the features became instant benefits and they were much more comfortable than that first try-on. I just need to wear high socks to keep a few rough edges away from my legs. Other than that, these are really excellent riding boots. I bought 8.5, which I normally wear in the HD's, but really needed only 8's as they are made a bit large. I wear these riding my VTX two wheeler, but stick with my lower, smaller boots for the trike, as I don't need the greater protection offered by the Milwaukee boots, and the HD's are a bit easier with which to walk: thus, the 4 stars instead of 5; but these are probably 4.75 stars anyway....

The first thing I noticed about these jeans was the weight. Pockets empty they weigh a little over 2.5lbs but they feel absolutely solid. All seams are double stitched and heavy rivets and bar tacks are used where needed. There are no crazy logos or patches that set these apart from normal denim, a feature I personally liked, but if you are looking to make sure everyone knows that you came on two wheels look elsewhere. A simple embroidered "FS" logo above the front pocket opening and a standard leather patch on the back of the waist are the only markings on this product at all. The only real feature that may distinguish these pants from the run of the mill jean is the knees. Two double stitched horizontal seems run above and below the knee on both sides. It is a different look but nothing that would really clue you in as to the purpose of these pants. That purpose however, becomes abundantly clear when you flip them inside out. Throughout the hip and seat of the pants are sections of yellow Kevlar stitched in for added slide protection and the material appears again on the front side of the knees. The rest of the pant is sturdy 13.5oz 100% cotton denim that, while heavy, feels extremely durable. Overall just holding the pant gives an overall impression of quality and toughness.

Fit

I am a tall guy and I managed to get these in a 34x34 (my normal size). While these jeans do fit, the added Kevlar combined with the thicker denim means if you want a relaxed fit you might want to go one size up. They fit more like my standard jeans if I were wearing a pair of thermals underneath them. Not to tight that they look ridiculous but tight enough in the hip and waist to make me notice. If was doing this over I would probably have gone for the 36x34.

On the RoadWearing these on the bike has its advantages. I decided to throw them on and ride into the office at 4:45am. It was 38 degrees out and I had a 42.5mi ride ahead of me. Once I hit highway I noticed that the reinforced areas have little to no wind penetration and the straight denim portions provide adequate protection as well. That is not to say I wasn't a bit chilled, but in standard jeans I would have been a lot worse off. On the ride home it was 75 degrees and sunny and the jeans actually remained cool in the direct sun while sitting in traffic. For all around weather conditions I give these high marks although they feel like they might be a little too much for a hot summer's day. On the bike they did not once ride up or shift in anyway and my range of movement was the same as any other pair of pants that I have ridden with. I must say for a day of riding these pants hold up really well. From morning all the way through late in the evening I was never really reminded that I was wearing a functional piece of clothing. This is actually quite a remarkable thing when put up against the other gear I wear. My jacket feels nothing like the jacket I wear when I am off the bike and my gloves would not be my first choice for going out on a cold day, yet with these jeans I would have no problem throwing them on and running a few errands. Once you become accustomed to their weight the feel is down right pedestrian.Overall
I would say that for $50 you really can't beat these. Are there better jeans on the market? Sure. But when I look at all the riders out there that are not making an investment in their own safety because they "can't see spending $100 on a pair of jeans" these are a viable solution. They are leaps and bounds above what I see most people wearing on rides and they are sure to save at least a couple of hides. At the end of the day these are a good buy.

(More customer reviews)I've used Motul 300V in my 75cc 4T scooter. It works well and does the job however, it only seems to do so once my scooter is hot as in, i've been riding around for 20 minutes. It makes my little bike a bit sluggish at first but once in that nice hot state, she runs excellently and allows for a higher top speed than when using petroleum based oil. 300V keeps it's viscosity for quite a while longer than Mobil 1 and definitely a LOT longer than any dino-oil.
Motul 300V is however, a bit more expensive than Mobil 1 and other brands but that is because it is just better. Are there better lubes? Sure but there are also different circumstances. Any oil will do the job. Motul 300V does it a little better.

You feel so much more protected than in work boots, almost as much as with full height MX boots, but with much more freedom of movement. They look cool and for trail and street riding they rock. They are comfortable with jeans, you don't need MX pants or any special outfit. My other boots might end up in E-bay!!!

I had read other reviews of ramps with loose nuts and bolts, etc..

It could be better but thats hard to do and be "universal" too. with a few modifications for stability it will be great. I've installed the front loader bucket with it and there is some "wobble" as mentioned by others, but in all fairness it wasn't meant to be a full sized front loader, it's an accessory for an atv.

The leather is thick in the right places, the stitching is well done, zippers are first rate, the fit is amazing, and it looks good. You cant say all of that for any other suit under 1000-1200 bucks. One thing i noticed is how some ppl said this suit runs big. Just get the AVG size chart and go from that. The chart is correct. The guys who say the suits run big are apparently children or adolescents who are not fully developed. Some said these were made for fat guys. Not so. They fit adult men, who have muscles. Sorry kids. I am 5'9" 200 lbs. I am not a CK model but well built and nothing to be ashamed of. The suit fits me like a glove, and it is brand new. I got a 48. I am thinking as it stretches with use it will be a little looser, hopefully to accomodate the extra 10-20 lbs of muscle I would like to add. The only area where this suit comes up short is the padding. It is suspect. The armor is better in my Z1R jacket and Fieldsheer 4-season pants. I guess I could just switch it all out. This thing, like the Z1R jacket, really needs a quality back protector to go with the hump. 4 stars for weak armor. Still a steal. Oh btw, I originally ordered a Teknic from krapzilla who had the item shown as available even after they canceled mine because they oversold them. It took them 3 weeks just to tell me oh, yeah, oops, we dont have that. bike bandit, just as weak. sold it to me then came up lame weeks later with the sorry, not available deal. the only shop who did something about it was extreme supply. they gave me a 20% off on this suit, which is the one i really wanted anyway. why mess with a eurosuit made for women when you can have a suit that is better looking and really fits. i liked the idea of the knox armor though. oh well. i will buy AM.
