(More customer reviews)I bought this with the understanding that I would return it if it didn't meet our expectations, It's a keeper!
Being in Florida, (the hurricane state) I wanted a hot plate that we can use if there is an emergency and we were living off of our generator.
Looking at all of the other products available, everyone complained about the same thing, it would either take forever or never boil water.
I tested this with a pot of water, about 4 cups worth and was immediately surprised that it brought it to a boil under five minutes.
The settings are well marked and the increments are good, even giving you a "warm" setting for buffets etc.
The unit is well made, not cheap and I hope to get years of service from it.
The only point that some people may find annoying (see other comments) is the cooling fan that will run until its cooled off.
Its a normal fan sound and I guess some people will not like it, especially if they're used to one of the cheap units that have no fan and don't boil.
The manufacturer states to place this on a heat resistant surface, so no plastic tables.
The only minus to this purchase is I wish the manufacturer would put a warning about the initial startup.
You will get a burning smell and smoke come from the rear for the first 60 seconds.
This is normal for any heating element that is new, so I would strongly recommend you do the first warmup outside somewhere dry and protected from the elements.
All in all I give this unit a 10.

It says in the handbook that if you use 2 cups of water, it will take the machine 25 minutes to get the next 2 cups cold. It doesn't say that in the description on the item. Product does not have the piercing device that you turn the water bottle upside down on. So I'm not sure how the water is supposed to drain into the very small reservoir. If you have to remove the entire cap from the top of the water bottle, that is very dumb. I will stick with the cooler I have that sets on the floor taking up room.

With some effort, you can force it in since the frame is made of medium weight cardboard instead of Whirlpool's hard plastic caulked with silicon gel.
I'm pleased to save the extra $$ for the same functionality, but would have preferred knowing that it was not a Whirlpool branded product.

The unit creates a little heat (as all dehumidifiers do) but that is offset by the amount of moisture it pulls from the air. A little loud on high but on the low setting, it is an noisy as you would expect it to be. Would recommend to others.

This is NOT a window box it IS a kit to install a window unit through a wall you Will need to create a hole in the wall to put this through.I've installed kits like this a few times it's a wonderful idea for a pertinent installation of what is normally considered a tacky yet important appliance.
Things you should know before starting this project.
Location of studs. (you will need to put this box in between studs never cut through a stud to install this device. If the stud spacing is to small consult a professional before you attempt an install. or risk you whole wall collapsing with half your roof.) if you must cut through a support you will need a double header and footer around the box.
Location of outlets and wires inside the wall
(You don't want to cut through any wire/pipe in your wall so don't put this OVER a plug as most plugs are dropped in from the attic or above(even if you live in a trailer.)
Ok dangerous part over with. :)
These last few items and hints are just for looks.
1. Get some molding to go around the exposed edge.
2. Have some foam or flashing to put on the outside of the box or risk water inside the wall in storms (basic stuff)
3. Have all the tools you'll need BEFOR you punch that hole in the wall.
4. Have a friend on standby just in case.
Not all kits will have molding or (make pretty) bits a bobs so expect to go to a home supply outlet of some-sort
Installing these isnt all that hard a proficient carpinder can do it in under an hour. But expect to spend most of the day on it. think weekend project take it slow.
Oh ya almost forgot.
run the AC on a flat surface for a while BEFORE you start in on the box and figure out how much of an angle you will need to insure the blasted thing drains OUTSIDE! and i mean let it run for a while it takes upwerds of 5 hrs to get a liquid buildup enough to drip.
Depending on the kit itself and your local humidity you may need to drill in a drain hole near the back of the kit (NOT THE AC) the kit! don't go drilling into your AC

old sheet/tarp
drill bits. one big one for starting the saws-all
(double header)
one to two 2x4's
Ripsaw (hand saw circular saw .. something to cut the 2x4)
LONG nails and or wood screws (DO NOT USE DRYWALL SCREWS)
Spare Drywall the hole inside will probably be larger than the required size for the box if you have to make a header. (drywall make pretty junk)
To make your life a little more easy use some header hangers (steel strips to hold up the header instead of just nails.
to create the header.
open the wall back untill you can see 3 studs
Cut the center stud out to the apropret gap.
Cut the 2x4's to the length to span the gap between the 2 outer studs you will need 4 of these.
Check your fit
Screw the 2x4's together lengthways to make them 4x4's
Use the hangers or nail in these new headers to the other studs and secure the center stud to the header. the connection point to the outer studs is the important part.
Pick where you want your box cut the outer hole and install.
Patch Drywall make it nice and install molding around the box slide the AC plug it in and enjoy the cold air. :)

The small propane tanks were less than $3 at Wal-Mart and Home Depot. It came pre-assembled so all I had to do was screw on the propane tank. The weeds wilted immediatley, JUST LIKE IN THE VIDEO ON THEIR WEBSITE. I couldn't believe it. It's almost too good to be true. I'm a 5' tall 30 year old woman and if I can use it, you can too. The size of the mini torch was just right for around my tomato and basil plants, and for around my lemon tree. It was really easy to hit the plants I wanted to...and avoid the good plants. I even used it along my fence line and it wilted the weeds without burning my fence. Love it. Love it. Love it.

The day WindChaser decided to design the connection for the body and the head/motor, all their engineers were out playing golf. There are 4 screws that you use to connect the head assembly to the body, screws that don't seem to be metal, and when you set these screws in the holes you can't get at them to tighten them. I tried a stubby Phillips and about 1" above the screws is a plastic shelf that blocks straight down access. I wound up having to use a Phillips screwdriver bit and some pliers.
Secondly when I pulled the WindChaser out of the box the plastic was cheaper and more flimsy that I'd have hoped. However, it's not like I'm going to be playing contact sports with it either so for what it's designed for it works fine.
Positives;
I really do think this heater rocks. On the low setting you can feel heat from 6' or so away. On the high setting you can feel heat 10' or so away. This thing really puts off the heat ! I've tried it several times on high and have to turn it down after a few minutes. And the feel of the heat is wonderful. It feels as if you're in front of a roaring campfire. If you had a tape playing of campfire noise, and this thing in front of you with your eyes closed, you'd swear that it was a real fire. It's soothing and comforting and just wonderful.
The noise.... What noise ?! When you have it in oscillation mode it's freaky, you expect to hear a fan going, but it's seemingly dead quiet as it pans the room. Very cool.
Another thing that has amazed me is that the wire protection frame on the front of the dish...only gets warm. I can't figure it out. Even after it's been on a long time on the low setting I can touch the grate and expect it to be really hot because of the high heat it's emitting and the grate is just warm. This was a pleasant surprise since I have 3 little kids. After the unit has been on for a while I can touch every part of it and nothing is hot ! Which gives me wonderful peace of mind. To burn yourself you'd have to stick your fingers through the grate.
So, in conclusion, I would highly recommend this heater. The silence of it and the feel of the heat coming off the dish is well worth the price of admission.

(More customer reviews)I've used this fan for a couple of years and have had no problems with it. The design saves space. It is quieter than most fans. It features 3 speeds, a timer and can swing or not. I do not use the "night" or "natural" feature which turns the fan on and off every few seconds - it seems more distracting than natural. It comes with a remote control though the same buttons are on the fan itself. A final consideration - if you are looking for a fan with a high-power breeze this is not it, though I have been satisfied with the air flow.
