New flight route to Bali from Philippine

A good news coming from Philippine. The Philippine Airlines (PAL) announced new flight route to Bali from Manila. The PAL announcement on Sunday also explained its 26th destination of international route network and second in Indonesia that will start on April 28.

Previously, Garuda Indonesia adds new domestic route to Bali using newest Bombardier CRJ1000 Next Generation.

“With the new service, passengers can look forward to experiencing full-service, hassle-free trip to Bali for their vacation,” said PAL president Jaime J. Bautista as reported by BusinessMirror.

PAL will operate the bi-class Airbus A320 aircraft, which departs Manila every Wednesday and Saturday at 9:45pm. Arrival at Denpasar International Airport, Bali’s provincial capital, is at 1:25am the following day. The return flight, PR 538, departs Denpasar on Thursday and Sunday at 2:25am and will arrive in Manila at 6:10am.

Promo fare to Bali
To celebrate the launching of new flight to Bali, PAL offers a promo fare for entire April 2012, and may be used from April 28 to September 30. “PAL is offering a promo fare of only $188 for round-trip of economy ticket. Business-class tickets have also been slashed to $988,” said the news. The promo are exclusive of government taxes, fees and surcharges.

Garuda new flight route to Bali

Garuda, the state-owned airline company  announced new route, including route to Bali. The new routes seem the positive effect of additional 11 new aircraft this year.

Garuda list of new airplanes for 2012 include five Bombardier CRJ1000 Next Generation that will enter service in October-December 2012. The National Carrier will also take delivery this year of four Boeing737-800NG aircraft and two Airbus A330-200.

“When the aircraft arrive, the total armada of Garuda Indonesia will total 105 airplanes with an average age of 5.8 years, ” said  Emirsyah Satar, the CEO of PT Garuda Indonesia as published in Kompas. Emirsyah projects that by the year 2015 Garuda will be operating 154 planes.

“The CRJ1000 NextGen regional jet continues to perform beyond expectations with its current operators, and we are thrilled to welcome Garuda Indonesia as the aircraft’s launch customer in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Mike Arcamone, President, Bombardier Commercial Aircraft as cited by AviationNews.

Here some new route of Garuda:

• The Bombardier CRJ1000 Next Generation aircraft will be deployed on domestic routes from bases in Makassar, Medan and Balikpapan commencing late this year.
• For international service, starting on April 27, 2012, Garuda Indonesia will fly between Denpasar and Haneda, Japan (Tokyo).
• On May 24, 2012, Garuda will fly Jakarta-Taipei (Taiwan).
• From Denpasar, new Garuda services to Balikpapan (Kalimantan) will commence in late 2012.

Queen Victoria’s World Voyage 2013 includes Bali

The fascinating cruise line of Queen Victoria has arranged its 2013 World Voyage and its include Bali island.

• Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Sri Lanka and India line the route to Oman before a fourth overnight call, this time in Dubai.

Jumeirah new luxury resort in Bali to operate in 2015

Bali has new luxury resort soon. Just signed in this January 2012, the resort will operated by Jumeirah Group. Attending the signing ceremony held in Bali were Guy Crawford, chief executive Jumeirah Group; Gerald Lawless, executive chairman of the Jumeirah Group; Sukowati Sosrodjojo, commissioner of PT Asia Pasifik Properti; and Kuntjoro Widodo, director, PT Asia Pacifik Properti.

Jumeirah Group is the Dubai-based luxury hotel company and a member of Dubai Holding. The Bali luxury resort will be known as Jumeirah Bali and is expected to open in 2015.

Jumeirah Bali is located on the southern tip of the exclusive Jimbaran District –is adjacent to Bali’s exclusive New Kuta Golf Course. Jumeirah Bali consists of 80 spacious, hotel suites and 24 private villas. It will feature “architectural designs reflective of Bali’s rich cultural heritage and modelled after an ancient Javanese-Hindu water palace”.

According to the Jumeirah Group site, Jumeirah Bali will offer a variety of fine international and local cuisines in three restaurants, Jumeirah’s signature Talise Spa and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. The resort will also feature an exclusive cliff-top wedding venue that captures stunning sunset views.

“A fully equipped business centre complete with meeting rooms and the latest communications technology will enable Jumeirah Bali to cater to both upscale corporate and leisure guests,” cites the Jumeirah Group website. The hotel is near to the airport, about 15 minutes.

More cruise ships visit Bali in 2012

It’s good news, in 2012, there will be more cruise ships visit Bali. The most favorite harbor to be visited is Bali’s Benoa –this harbor is the closest from breathtaking spots of destinations in Bali. In 2011 the Benoa port recorded 35 cruise ship visits, exceeding by 25% a target set by the port of 28 ships.

According to Beritabali, Bali Benoa harbor is scheduled to be visited by 38 ships cruise ships in 2012, including the Legend of the Sea measuring 264 meters. Legend of the Sea  is one of the most popular cruise ship featured with 11 decks, 6 pools and 8 bars & lounges.

BeritaBali reports Iwan Sabatini of Pelindo– state owned company on harbor management– said the “large” Legend of the Sea will be able to use the port due to a widening of the port basin by an additional 150 meters and dredging to a depth of 9.5 meters.

According to Iwan Sabatini, cruise ships that come to Indonesia will increase in number and be of 200 to 300 meters in length in the future. “This will demand that we create piers and ports of sufficient capacity and berths with up to 12 meters of depth,” said Iwan.
