Brace yourself. You're about to be guided to the best website
in the history of the universe, and if you dare doubt it,
your universe may very well be ripped to shreds. Every so
often, a new and improved reason for surviving emerges on the world
wide web, and it's safe to say that
Pica-Pic fits the bill.
For all intents and purposes, it's a drop-dead gorgeous portal for
accessing
retro handheld games -- the very vessels that
carried you through your childhood. Simply toggle through the
myriad options with your left / right arrow keys, and then mouse
over each game to learn of the keyboard controls. Venture on down
to the source link if you're looking to occupy yourself for the
next
week month. Now, if only they'd build an app
for porting this to the mobile side...

If you're an AT&T subscriber, you'll know this handset as
the
Thrill 4G. And if you happen to be a T-Mobile
devotee (yes, those are two distinct groups until the
AT&T&T-Mo merger is complete), you'll
soon get a chance to familiarize yourself with it too, as it has
just slipped through the FCC with support for AWS 3G. Specifically,
the FCC has cleared an LG 920 smartphone, which a helpful video
from LG itself informs us is the
Optimus 3D -- the dual-core
OMAP 4-powered Android powerhouse that's at the
root of this entire affair. It'll probably get its own, uniquely
ghastly moniker if and when it's launched by
T-Mobile, at which point every US carrier bar Verizon will have a
3D smartphone on its books. How long do you
think that omission will last?
[Thanks, Christian]

Imagine a beautiful old steel fountain pen, with its twist-to-suck
pump that slurps in ink. Now imagine that instead of twisting the
reservoir to fill the pen, you turn it in the other direction and
force ink to seep out through the nib.
Now imagine that instead of ink, you are squeezing out toothpaste,
and instead [...]

It's
not a great day for the Internet, folks. Web services seem to be
dropping like flies. For several hours today,
WordPress.com's back-end was nowhere to be
found, causing several TechCrunch writers to consider writing
on legal pads and posting on Craigslist. Some even considered
posting on HuffPo. Don't worry, they've been fired. On top of this,
and much to the chagrin of the video-on-demand watching public,
Netflix went down for what seemed like a century. I subscribe to
Netflix Instant, and as you can see from the message above, I was
not allowed to watch my "programs" this evening when I wanted to.
Not cool, Netflix. Not cool.

T-Mobile subscribers at this point are preparing for
what could be a
new, blue overlord, and now you can count
Audi
among the ranks of those wondering what's next. Yesterday the
company with the rings signed on with the company with the magenta
to power its
Audi Connect system on US cars. It'll launch first
with the 2012 Audi A7, where it will provide the wireless data pipe
through which the car's
MMI infotainment system will pull down Google
Earth imagery, Local Search POIs, Sirius Traffic information, and
even act like a Quattro hotspot for folks in the back seat. Audi's
not specified how much this service will cost, but "not free"
sounds like a safe bet for now.

Samsung just announced their two new
Galaxy
Tabs, the 8.9 and the 10.1. Both are just 8.6 millimeters thick
and support 4G and WiFi. Click through to watch the live video
launch of these two Honeycomb tablets (with TouchWiz on top). The
new tablets have "HD displays" and Samsung is moving into more
services like something called ReadersHub, an ebook solution for
the Gal Tabs, and MusicHub, a music solution. It has 3 megapixel
rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera and supports Adobe Flash
10.2.

We told you it was coming, and now it's here: the
11.6-inch little brother to Samsung's ultrathin
9 Series laptop. As we expected, the 900X1A
sports a Core i3-380UM processor, 2GB of RAM, and 1366 x 768
resolution, but instead of the anticipated 64GB of memory, it's
rocking the same 128GB SSD as its older sibling. We've yet to hear
when the new 9 Series will make it across the pond, but it should
be available in Europe starting April 1st for €1,200 -- and, if you
like 'em small and skinny, you can check out a video of the 900X1A
after the break.
[Thanks, Marco]

It’s incredible how fast new technology becomes outdated and
obsolete these days. The iPad 2 hasn’t even gone on sale yet and
there’s already rumors about iPad 3 making it’s debut sometime
during the fall, around September to be exact. There’s no
confirmation on whether or not these rumors are true. However,

that the international launch will go ahead as planned, bringing
the iPad 2 to 25 more countries this Friday.
Shortages at home made many, including me, think that the overseas

Cobra's taking a step back from its usual array of
radar detectors to make a showing down in Orlando, and as such,
today's announcements are all about mobile. The company's Cobra Tag
system -- which popped up initially back at CES -- has just been
given a price and release date. The Bluetooth tagging system will
be keeping track of your car keys (and other miscellaneous items)
starting in July, with a Bluetooth key fob linking up with a
smartphone app in order to constantly monitor the position of
anything it's connected to. All's that required from you is a
BlackBerry or Android smartphone, $59.99 and a mindful personality.
In related news, the outfit's also making available the previously
announced
iRadar application for Android, which is used to
link your smartphone and radar detector, as well as the
PhoneLynx for Android, which enables users to
use a landline handset while tapping into Android voice minutes.
