Choosing makeup to wear to a party can be a tough decision. After all, you don’t want to look to overdone or too under-done. So the question is—how can you avoid this?

First of all, choose one thing to focus on. For example, if you plan on wearing super bright lipstick, then you’ll want more muted eyeshadow color. The same goes in reverse if you decide to choose a brighter blush or a brighter eyeshadow. Keep everything else muted and it will all come together nicely.
Second, choose waterproof or long lasting makeup so that you don’t have to constantly reapply it and also so that it doesn’t run down your face while you are dancing or participating in any other kind of activity.
Next, don’t leave out the option of choosing colored mascara or eyeliner. While it may seem a bit unusual at first, it can be a quick and easy way to add a little bit of pizzazz to your overall look without having to pull out the eyeshadow primer.
Which brings us to another point. If you plan on wearing a really bright eyeshadow, then try looking into eyeshadow primer. Eyeshadow primer is a good way to assure that your makeup will stay put as you go throughout the regular day, but is even better for when you decide to go to a party.
Lastly, choose a foundation that doesn’t contain SPF. You don’t need it and it will keep you from looking super washed out while you have your picture taken. Photo Copyright of PR PHOTOS
