So I'm wondering, does dospad and the snes emulators run faster on an iPhone 4/4s? I have them on my 3GS and they lag a wee bit (my iPhone is jailbroken)

Mix Convictions more action based gameplay with the traditional Chaos Theory's more spy (brain freeze what is he again? Forgot the word)STEALTH! More stealth based gameplay.

Perfect mix, needs split screen and online coop. Will buy splinter cell is always awesome

I love how Criterion are writing NFS games out of history

Writing gooseberry fool games out of history should just be done on a regular basis by everyone.

Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted were good games though :?

Hot Pursuit was a disappointment. The whole police gimmick didn't work in the slightest. The chases were crap and the pit manoeuvre was rubbish.

Right, now a few more people have seen it time for questions...

1. Why does David kill/infect Charlie? What's his motive?

2. Why does the captain ignore the monitor when the 2 stranded guys are panicking?

3. Why does Shaw all of a sudden go from 'we need to get off dis rock' to 'we gotta stay mayne'? There's absolutely nothing to show what changes her mind.

4. What's the logic behind the evolution of aliens from worms to snakes to squids to xenos? I'm guessing the very final sequence shows the birth of the Queen, the flat head and jaws resemble the queen.

5. Why did the space jockeys want to destroy humanity? Were they worried about humans becoming too powerful?

6. Why do neither David or Shaw inform anyone about the baby squid? Was Shaw worried she'd be killed? Did David want to sneak the squid back to Earth?

agreed with all these questions and some more of my own.

i dunno what to say really, it looked lush, was well acted, but was a total strawberry floating mess of a movie story and plot wise, like Sunshine almost, in that the first two acts were quite good then it goes strawberry floating mental in the third act and answers nothing of the questions it raises.

it wasn't scary at all, i watch alien before hand, was really ready for a good scary, nothing, nothing at strawberry floating all.

really disappointed.

3D as usual added strawberry float all.

heres a few of my problems with it... lots of spoilers and fairly long tbh...

the two scientists who are freaked out and wanna leave and head back too the ship but get lost. why if they were so strawberry floating scared when they got lost did they not radio the ship and get directions out as it was all mapped by then and they had plenty of time before the storm hit.... did they just wander about for the hour or two while we assume the other sicentists were strawberry floating about in the head room and forget about their radios? i mean one of them has robots that scan out map plans of caves, and he's a sicentist, i would assume he can operate a strawberry floating radio let alone not get lost!!!

the worm who gets into one of the scientists i don't think has strawberry float all to do with the xenomorphs we all love and know, its a stand alone different bio weapon, a parasite that takes over and turns the scientist into a strawberry floating mutant, my problem with this; well nothing really except we see earlier the space jocky hologram video of them all running into that room, away from something, scared, they lock themselve in that room, one doesn't make it, head cut off. why? why lock themselves in that room with the giant head and the worms that can strawberry float you up and where were their corpses? and what were they running from?

the space jocky corpses all piled up in the corridor that our two radio incapable sicentists run into. what happened to them? one clearly had a hole in the side of it's head, who did that? completely not explained, did i miss something?

the abortion scene. :fp: so let walk through this one. shes on the bed, a male doctor and the scottish bint come in to take her to be frozen, she hits them with a bed pan or some gooseberry fool and runs off and does her abortion. the two doctors we can assume get up, dust themselves down and head off to get wayland sorted because when our abortion queen meets him that scottish bint is helping get him ready and makes strawberry float all reference to being hit with a bed pan or the escape. Doesn't report it, doesn't give chase, it just goes no where. pointless scene added to the movie for shock value and in my opinion the abortion scene wasn't anything really shocking.

the two guys who are having a bet throughout the movie, thats all we know of them. i love how they are willing to throw down their lives for no other reason other than their captain is planning to crash his ship into the space jocky ship, based on the abortion doll saying the ship is going to earth. she knows this because.... wait, how does she know this? i mean when the space jocky plans the course for earth shes strawberry floated off down a corridor, she has no idea where he's going, shes based this on the fact the space jocky was woken up and went mental and killed everyone. maybe he killed them because he's not a morning person, maybe he killed them because he's a nutter, guess we'll never know, but we do know that she was nowhere to be seen when the space jocky set course for earth.

and so back to my original point, two under developed characters decide to kill themselves for the better good and we're supposed to care... i didn't even know their names.

the spacejocky ship with a sole living spacejocky. why didn't that ship take off? the spacejocky went into hypersleep and waited to be found? what happened that caused him to be put into hypersleep and then the rest get killed and the ship not take off? infact it makes no sence because he wasn't alone, four, strawberry floating FOUR other spacejockys were locked in that ship with him and stood at guard at the door until they died standing up. none of this is explained, when what ever went down in that spacejocky "cave" happened why didn't that ship take off, we see a hologram that the jockys were there, the ship is operational, 1 jocky in hypersleep, four other as guards and it didn't take off...?

david.

david over two years has learnt alot of languages and such and can read, and somehow speak spacejocky language. fair enough.

the spacejocky's have locked the doors in this comtainment warehouse or military base.

now lets say you didn't know a language, over two years you learn a language used for somewhere you were going, you go to that place and you find a locked door, your going to come up against this...

Image

now regardless of how much of a language you learn you are not going to be able to randomly know combinations to unlock doors, its bullshit, i don't expect this bullshit from scott.

anther problem with David i don't get is why so much focus was on him? in my opinion he was used to pose questions and interactions with the other characters about when's a robot not a robot, what it is to be human, where are the lines between AI and the human "soul" blurred. guess what, i've seen this done before, and better, in another scott film, its called blade runner, it felt really forced to me in Prometheus.

the end is lexx.

a woman on an alien space ship with a robot head, which is basically lexx.

there is more but thats what stands out for me.

there was a mad queue to get out of the car park at the end, west life or something were playing, me and my friend between us came up with an ending, and last third of the film that makes sence and kinda answers some of the questions.

read if your interested...

they wake up the spacejocky, he goes nut and kills everyone, abortion bint escapes as usual, makes it back to the Prometheus, our spacejocky friend chases her and as in the movie gets infected by what i'm calling a face hugger queen, that squid thing. the captain takes off and blows the escape pod with the infected space jocky onboard, who gets up, a bit dazed and not too happy and makes it back to his ship, he takes off and goes after the prometheus.

he catchs up to them, hes got superior alien tech or soemthing, what ever happens the Prometheus is destroyed but the spacejocky ship is damaged, crashes on LV 246, stunned from the crash the space jocky is sitting in the pilot seat at which point an alien chest burster bursts from him, takes up residence in the jockys ship, eats the dead humans laying around, wahtever the strawberry float, becomes a queen, lays strawberry float loads of eggs and dies it doesn't really matter, all you need to see is the chest burst and any mong can guess thats where the strawberry floating eggs come from. david is the one who remotely, somehow makes the message that is eventually the message years late picked up in Alien by the Nostromos.

we came up with that inside of 10 minutes waiting to get out of a car park and it makes more strawberry floating sense than the last 45 minutes of that film and ties in with the series. another 10 minutes we may have been able to explain away some of the gaping plot holes, unanswered questions and maybe more.

3/10 - it looks pretty and the sound track is fairly good i think.

Personally I don't think Revenge was all that good, but its clearly much better than Most Wanted.

Burnout Revenge was brilliant and is my all-time most played game (over 500hrs). 8-)

I was disapointed with Burnout Paradise though, so i'd love to see another proper Burnout game again rather than another NFS.
