If you're working as a healthcare professional then you're probably
responsible for earning some type of continuing education credits.
I need to complete my continuing medical education or CME's by the
end of December. I'm not close to finishing this task and the
clock's ticking. There's various ways to earn these credits. Some
people earn credits by going on a trip to a continuing medical
education conference. That's not happening with my limited time
frame and busy schedule. Another way to complete these credits is
by doing CME activities in journals. I'll complete my category II
credits by using them, but I've chosen to earn all of my CME
category I credits online. I'll be honest, I wasn't exactly
thrilled about doing CME activities. I enjoy learning, but it's
hard squeezing extra tasks into my schedule. Once I started
completing these CME's, I realized that I was actually enjoying
some of these activities, which makes it less of a task. My goal,
of course, is to get this done. I also want to complete my
requirements without spending money. I've compiled a list of
websites that offer free CME and CE activities, which you can use
to complete your continuing education. Enjoy the journey!
