I have been dreaming a lot about babies lately...

Specifically....my babies...babies that I don't have yet, nor want to have yet. So whats with all the day dreaming and such?

I was discussing this with Kyle tonight over dinner after he almost spit out his wine and I told him that I really don't feel that I am ready to have a baby yet, mostly for one hundred reasons

1) When I have a child, I want to be able to be home with them when they are small. I am very anti-daycare if I can swing being home with my child instead.

The funny thing is is that I used to be completely the other way around. I used to judge stay at home moms endlessly for their apparent "laziness" or "lack of motivation" to work, wow, how wrong I was.... Now I really want to have that opportunity to be home with my child (at least most of the time, thankfully my job is such that I can work 2-3 days a month fairly easy, when I am ready)

I want more time at work. I want to figure out where my niche is in nursing before I put my career on the back burner for mommy-hood. But still the dreams come....

It appears that someone has turned on my biological clock without asking me ;-)

Hey there,

this will be the last mix for this year, since I will finally finished my semester and be going on vacation very soon!
The first track of this volume features an artist, which wasn't around too much lately, but has now finally come back with yet another amazing vocal track. The second track is pretty well known by now I suppose, but nevertheless brilliant, so it definitely had to be in here. The last track was rightfully featured on the last ASOT and damn, you just gotta love Sarah's vocals! :D

This board is for Laura, who needed some help visualizing her wedding in the colors she and her fiance had chosen. They imagine a wedding that is fun, elegant, and modern - no ruffles or frills here! Laura also mentioned an affinity for bees, so I tried to work that in as well. Another fun detail about this wedding: they're getting married at the ruins of these cloisters in Paulinzella, Germany. What a unique and beautiful venue!

I forgot to post the music at the end: 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' by ELO, and 'Dead Man's Heart' from Pirates 3.
My timeline for this project was:
Wednesday-make 6 cups of frosting, get most of it colored and in bags, and put it in the fridge.
Thursday-bake the cake and some of the cupcakes, make 9 cups of frosting and get 1/2 of the cupcakes decorated.
Friday-bake the rest of the cupcakes, make another 6 cups of frosting, decorate the cake, and finish up the cupcakes.
I actually ended up with about 80 cupcakes so I didn't really have too much buttercream leftover.
The candy clay accessories were really easy to make but time consuming. I made them a couple of weeks ago just so I would have them ready.

How insanely beautiful are these items? I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I think this may just be my favorite aisle runner of the year. I'm crazy in love with the way it turned out. Bride Whitney provided us with the verse and we put it in the font of her choice and added one of our monograms (21D) underneath... L.O.V.E. She also ordered a matching thank you parasol, and two verse banners (one standard size and one large) all in the same font and color as the verse so everything coordinates perfectly. Best wishes to Whitney & Nick who will be married next weekend!

The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course is home to the world's first and only floating, movable island golf green on the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene in Northern Idaho. Meet owner Duane Hagadone and discover his story from vision to creation of one of the most recognizable golf holes in the world. Recently featured on the television series, Golf in America, August 2010 on The Golf Channel.

The song was recorded by The Beatles during a live BBC radio session and included on the album, Live at the BBC. The song is especially popular in Beatles lore, being featured in the only known existing film with synchronized sound showing the Beatles performing live at the famous Cavern Club. The crude, grainy footage features John Lennon and Paul McCartney singing the song's melody in unison on Wednesday August 22, 1962. It is also the first film of Ringo Starr as the Beatles drummer, Pete Best having been discharged the week before.
The song was very popular in Liverpool's Merseybeat scene. Both the original and the version by fellow Merseybeaters The Big Three ("Some Other Guy" b/w "Let True Love Begin", Decca F11614, March 63, UK#37) are part of John Lennon's jukebox. The song was covered by the pre-British Invasion group Johnny Kidd & the Pirates, and also by Led Zeppelin during a Whole Lotta Love Melody on September 4th, 1970, being found on the famous bootleg Live On Blueberry Hill.

The color footage is of the Beatles in Hamburg in January 1962, the earliest Color and known existing footage! The rest is from Anthology

"Cry for a Shadow" is an early Beatles instrumental. It was recorded on 22 June 1961 at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, Hamburg-Harburg, Germany while they were performing as Tony Sheridan's backup band for a few tracks. It was written by George Harrison with John Lennon as a parody of The Shadows style. (The Shadows, who backed Cliff Richard were the biggest British instrumental rock & roll group at the time of the recording.) It imitates the lead guitar with typical Hank Marvin licks, the melodic bass fills, and even has an imitation during the second middle 8 of the famous Jet Harris yell. It is the only Beatles track to be credited to Lennon and Harrison alone.

One of our super sweet couples sent us this beautiful picture of the Love parasol we created for their July wedding in Cleveland, Ohio along with a note that read:

"I have been meaning to contact you for some time in regards to how beautiful the parasol was for my big day! My bridesmaids carried green parasols therefore my white parasol with black writing stood out in the photos. I have attached a photo that our photographer took to especially highlight the parasol.
