UFC 129 tickets were finally released today, with UFC fight club
members having first crack at purchasing the tickets. Ticket
selection is decreasing rapidly as the much anticipated event is
selling out quickly. Only seats in the 500 level at Rogers Centre
are available at this time, a mere 2 hours after tickets were
released. The current capacity of 42,000 seats for UFC 129 may be
added to because of this very high demand for tickets. The UFC has
promised that more tickets for UFC 129 will be released on the
general onsale date on Saturday. It is suspected that tickets
available for purchase on Saturday will be very limited and that
they will also sell out very quickly
George St-Pierre has shown complete dominance of the welterweight
division, but with that being said Jake Shields should still be a
formadible challenge for the Canadian fighter. If St-Pierre is able
to defeat Shields at UFC 129 many have speculated that this would
lead to a superfight between GSP and Middleweight champion Anderson
Silva. The Toronto bout between St-pierre and Shields is scheduled
to take place at Rogers Centre on April 30th. Jake Shields looks to
be a roadblock for GSP in his move to the middleweight division and
Shields has been quotes as saying: "I think it's a big mistake to
overlook me because I plan on coming out and spoiling that fight".
In response to this St-Pierre has said that he is not looking ahead
to future fights and is currently 100% focused on the next fight on
hand. Meanwhile fans of the UFC look ahead to the excitement of
what a Silva. Such a fight would be a historic event, as both
fighters have been dominant in their UFC divisions and both are in
their prime. The superfight could finally lead to an answer to the
question of who, pound for pound, is currently the greatest MMA
fighter.
UFC in Toronto has come a long way in just a very short time. The
UFC was allowed to take place by the Ontario government, which
alleviated its ban on MMA just 6 months ago. Today, two nation wide
sports networks had coverage of a press conference for UFC 129,
held in Toronto. This will be the biggest UFC event ever to be held
on North American soil. There is a plethora of Canadian talent in
MMA and these Canadian fighters will get to show what they're made
of in Toronto at UFC 129. In addition to George St-Pierre, Mark
Hominick of Ontario is scheduled as the main contender for the
featherweight championship bout. The Toronto UFC event will feature
up to 10 fighters from Canada.
Ticketmaster is not the only way to get tickets to UFC 129, as
great seats are still to be had be other means. Stubhub and Ebay
serve as great options on the secondary market, where plenty of
great tickets are still available for the event. A second option to
obtain tickets is to purchase tickets off of a Canadian Ticket
Broker. Buying from a local ticket broker can often provide a great
discount on seats versus the larger sites. One good Canadian broker
for purchasing tickets to UFC 129 is www.ufc129tickets.ca. Their

February 10th, 2011 marked the onsale date for UFC 129 Tickets to
members of the UFC Fight Club. It looks as though tickets will sell
out very quickly for this event. With tickets only on sale for two
hours this far it looks as if the pickings are already very sparse
with only 500 level seats still available. The 42,000 person
capacity at Rogers Center may be expanded in order to keep up with
the demand for UFC 129 tickets. Although the event appears to be
almost sold out, Dana White has stated that a few more tickets will
be available for the general on sale on February 12th. Tickets are
expected to sell out almost instantly on this general onsale date,
as the quantity will be very limited
Although George St. Pierre is the heavy favorite his victory is for
from certain if Jake Shields has his say in things. It is expected
that if St-Pierre is over to overcome Shields that the next logical
fight in his career would be to square off against Anderson Silva
in a UFC superfight of sorts. St-Pierre is set to square off
against Shields on April 30th, 2011 at UFC 129. Jake Shields looks
to be a roadblock for GSP in his move to the middleweight division
and Shields has been quotes as saying: "I think it's a big mistake
to overlook me because I plan on coming out and spoiling that
fight". In response St-Pierre has said that Shields has his full
attention and that he is concentrated on the fight and not looking
ahead towards a possible bout with Silva. Meanwhile fans of the UFC
look ahead to the excitement of what a Silva. This is because both
St-Pierre and Silva have shown an undisputed dominance in their
respective divisions. The superfight could finally lead to an
answer to the question of who, pound for pound, is currently the
greatest MMA fighter.
UFC in Toronto has come a long way in just a very short time. The
province of Ontario just recently sanctioned the UFC and it is
because of this that the Toronto event has become a reality. Today,

for UFC 129, held in Toronto. This will be the biggest UFC event
ever to be held on North American soil. Canadian Talent will be in
abundance for the UFC Toronto event. The featherweight championship
is up for grabs as Canadian, Mark Hominick fights for it at UFC
129. UFC 129 could have as many as 10 fighters fighting in the
Toronto event.

tickets, there are still ways to find premium seats for UFC 129.
Many tickets still exist on the secondary market and you can
consider buying seats off well known secondary sales sites such as
E-bay and Stubhub. A second option to obtain tickets is to purchase
