I make mine stronger than some others may, so the holder doesn't hold as many as it said it should, but that's fine, I can get about a dozen at a time. The only other issue I have is the little wire rack that you use to lift the filters out is pretty flimsy, and it has no side support for the filter pods, so if you lift it up too high out of the canister, the pods tip over. Not a deal breaker for sure, and it looks great next to the My Invento Coffee Maker that uses these pods. Great price, and was received quickly and in perfect shape.

(More customer reviews)You can easily reuse these a few times each and they are way more environmentally friendly than Styrofoam! That's the first answer to your question: isn't it not-so-green to be using disposable paper cups with all the concern about the environment?
These cups are wonderful. The insulation is perfect to keep hot beverages hot and the outside of the cup cool enough to not require a sleeve to handle (but still warm enough to keep your hand toasty on cold mornings). Get the lids - separate purchase or buy the combo pack - so you can go mobile in the morning with your hot cuppa joe. One great feature for those craving a quick and easy fix is that the 16 oz. size holds two servings of hot beverage from the Keurig pod coffee make on the 2/4 size setting. As I eluded to, I get on average four uses out of each cup, I simply rinse it after using it and save it for the next time. Even so, I have left coffee in it for 5 days without the liquid soaking through the seam.
The cups with lids are perfect for the car or for kids. A full side tip causes no leakage around the lid and only minimal loss through the "drink hole". At home on weekend mornings, I go old school and drink out of my favorite mug. Most other times you'll find me with one of these cups, full of dark roasted goodness. Considering that most people are buying overpriced coffee from coffee stands right after they get to work and that these drinks come in hard-to-reuse paper cups, these babies are a slam dunk. They will quickly pay for themselves by allowing you to bring your favorite coffee in from home.
Don't waste another day or $3 on "boutique" coffee in hot cups that require sleeves, buy these - and don't forget the lids!

(More customer reviews)ALas.....it seems I as many of the early adopters are learning the pain of the KRUPS BEERTENDER.
I was very excited for this product and my girlfriend bought one for me for my birthday in APRIL 2008.
THe product is well designed and works well when it works.
Problem is...I only used it 2x...and the unit stopped cooling.
One thing customers of this item should know is that you really aren't supposed to store a Heineken Draught Keg in it for more than a day (they say this in the manual) and that you are supposed to remove the keg and put it in the fridge if you plan on storing it longer.
ISn't that kinda stupid and defeats the purpose of such an expensive unit?? Also...it only uses Mini-Kegs that have their own CO2 pressuration built in like the Heineken Mini-keg.....so expect your choice (if any) to be limited.
Anyhoo, I used 2 Draught Kegs in a 6 week period....and the unit stopped cooling. I contacted KRUPS and received an RMA and had the unit shipped in for repair on 6/23/08. After hearing nothing I followed up on 7/24/08 as to the status of my machine, they apologized and put in a rush order to have a replacement shipped after emailing them 2x and calling.
My latest phone conversation (8/19/08) I was told that they had been backordered on the machine until this past week and should receive my replacement machine in 2 weeks....we'll see.
While I like the machine......the rep said that this being a brand new product for Krups they were experiencing issues in servicing of the unit. I am thinking this machine was not ready to be released and that the cooling unit is very likely to fail in every unit.
I would have to say there might be a better options if you plan to use this type of dispenser regularly.
UPDATE (9/21/08):
Received my warranty replacement unit at the end of AUGUST. To my surprise.......KRUPS did not repair my machine...they sent a completely NEW Unit!! YAY!
So far the unit has worked perfectly and I have used it 1x since i received it. Hopefully they have resolved any issues they were experiencing in manufacturing so I or others won't experience the cooling failure that I did with my 1st unit. So Far So Good.....there are also rumors of more varieties of Draught Keg coming to the US like they have in Europe....that would definitely make the unit a more worthwhile purchase rather than a creature comfort.

*Heineken is the beer of choice in our house, so when we saw the mini draught kegs in the grocery store, we knew this would be a nice alternative to the bottles and cans we normally buy for our gatherings.
*I am a big a fan of Krups products; I've always used a Krups coffee maker; I can't live without the pannini grill and recently purchased the fully automatic espresso machine- which we love. When I saw the Beertender, I knew we had to have one in our house.
*We have beer on tap all the time! Does it get any better then that? The beer stays at the perfect temperature, it doesn't take up any room in our refrigerator and it tells us when the keg needs to be replaced, if we exceed the 30 day freshness period. (So far we have drained the kegs before that date happens but we have come close)

(More customer reviews)I like that this mug does not leak and keeps my coffee warm. I fill it up around 8:30am and my coffee is still hot when I take my last sip around 11:00am. However, the lid is soooo difficult to clean. There are too many nooks and crannies for my soy milk to leave residue. I have tried small brushes and folded paper towel corners to get in the crevices. If you do not clean it properly, a horrible mildew smell develops very quickly (within 48 hours). Once the mildew smell appears, the only way to clean it is by putting it in a container with rock salt and rubbing alcohol(and shaking it around).
As long as I spent 10 minutes in the breakroom to keep it clean, I like how it works. If they come out with a version that has a simple to clean lid, I will buy it in a second! :)

(More customer reviews)I got this as a Christmas gift for my wife. So far we've only tried the latte macciato and the hot chocolate (cocochino) flavors but she likes both of them. The machine is easy enough to use, although an auto shut off option may be worth the extra money (the creativa model has this option). As it is you have to decide when to turn off the machine so you have that control over the strength of the coffee but its hard to get the reccommended amount. The only complaint I have is that amazon says:
"Everything you need to make a hot or cold drink is contained in our easy to use capsules, your new system come with a variety box of 16 capsules, a cappuccino cup and saucer, and a latte macchiato glass mug"
Which is partly true because I got the variety box but I didn't get the cappuccino cup, saucer or latte macciato glass mug. I didn't lower my rating since this has no effect on the coffee maker but I wouldn't have paid what I did if I knew I wouldn't be getting these items. I think its an error on Amazon's part and not a missing item because the box did not mention the cup, saucer or mug being included. I will update my review after I hear back from Amazon on the issue.
UPDATE: Amazon took care of the problem for me, hopefully they start shipping with the mugs for everyone else or they take it off the description.

How It Works
NESCAFÉ® Dolce Gusto® machines heat water, which is passed at high pressure - a maximum of 15 bars -into the coffee cup through a capsule of high-quality NESCAFÉ® roast and ground coffee. The coffee that is used in the capsules is made of premium 100% Arabica beans.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this little machine after spending a fortune (.50) for each 8 oz. cup of coffee using the Senseo coffee pods. This Pod Maker is marvelous! Not only does it make pods using whatever coffee you like, it makes pods for an 8 oz. cup of coffee! Senseo pods only make a 4 oz. cup of coffee, so you have to use two pods if you want to have a decent size cup of joe. You fill the pod, fold over its top over the coffee, and then seal the pod in 2 to 3 seconds with the pod maker. Incredibly simple. I also have used the Ecopads, which are great also. However, you have to empty and clean the Ecopads each time you use them. It also takes 2 Ecopads to make 8 oz. of coffee. The Perfect Pod Coffee Pod Maker is the better choice.

(More customer reviews)While I usually chop on a plastic cutting board with a big chef's knife, the Cuisinart makes several tasks a lot easier. Chopping cooked or raw meat is one. If you are making hash from leftover corned beef, a short burst in this food processor is the easiest way to go. For mixing certain pastry doughs (pie or pate brisee) this is also a very good item to have, although you have to be careful to go slowly and not overprocess. The one thing the Cuisinart does is heat up the dough if you whirl it around too much, so you have to be careful. And if you put too heavy a bread dough in, using the plastic bread blade, you can heat the shaft up enough to jam the blade onto the central post and that's a big nuisance. However, with these cautions, the Cuisinart is hands-down my favorite food processor and for shredding, slicing thinly or chopping, pretty much the best kitchen appliance for the job.
