How To Get HostGator Web Hosting For Free (Or Next To Free)

I know that we have a guide listed elsewhere on this site, but it probably should be repeated.  If you need good dependable web hosting for your websites, you should probably check out HostGator.  Here’s how to get their web host for free – or maybe a penny – for the first month. . .

If you need web hosting, we recommend using HostGator.  Their bulletproof hosting service and 99.9% uptime guarantee are just a couple of the reasons why.  There’s also their award winning technical support, unlimited disk space, unlimited bandwidth and much, much more.  I know that this is sounding like a HostGator commercial, but we’re big fans.

Also, since you’re probably new to all of this, we just want to tell you that their 24/7 technical support is great!  Those guys will take the time to talk with you and answer any questions that you might have.  If you need them to hold your hand and walk you through a procedure, they’ll do it.  You can call them toll free or chat with them live at any time.

With that embarrassing rant out of the way, here’s how you can sign up for hosting and get your first month for FREE.

1.  Click on this link to be redirected to the HostGator site in a new window.

2.  At the site, click on “Web Hosting” at the top of the page.

3.  Choose your plan and click the “Order Now” button.  We recommend the “Baby Plan” over the “Hatchling Plan”.  It costs a couple of bucks more, but the “Hatchling Plan” only lets you host one domain name.  If you plan on building additional sites for other projects, the “Baby Plan” will let you add additional domain names.

4.  At this point you’ll need to decide whether you want HostGator to register a domain name for you.  If you don’t have a domain name yet (We recommend getting a domain name through Go Daddy by clicking on this link) you can choose “Register A New Domain Name”.  If you already have your domain name, choose “I Currently Have A Domain Name”.  In either case, enter the name of the domain name, but DON’T CLICK on the “Continue To Step 2″ button yet.

5.  In the “Enter A Coupon Code” field, enter the code “Free4U2012″.  Now click on the appropriate button. This will give you a free (or next to free) month of hosting for either the “Hatchling” or “Baby” hosting plan. It will give you up to $9.94 USD off any other HostGator hosting plan.

6.  Now simply enter your information and click the “Create Account” button at the bottom.  Follow any additional steps and you’re done.

How To Make Up To $50 In An Hour & Then Keep It Coming In

Everybody’s looking for easy money, but nobody’s finding it.  Well, if you can write a few pages, then here’s a simple way to make a few bucks fast and then keep it coming in afterwards.

1.  Write a quick eBook on a popular topic.  We’d suggest writing about “how to make money” or “how to get rich”.  It doesn’t have to be a big book.  Several pages or more with a couple of good ideas is all it takes.  Put a page at the beginning of the book about how your book is short because you don’t like a lot of fluff and that this book is all substance.

2.  After your book is written create a nice eCover for it.  You can do this for free at MyEcoverMaker.  They’ve got a few free covers that you can customize or you can download a premium cover for a few bucks.

3.  If you’ve got the time, write a couple of bonus books that you’ll giveaway with your main book.  You can reuse these over with other sales.  You may be able to purchase a couple of PLR books to use as your giveaway books.  Just be sure to change the titles.  A good place to get PLR books is Resale Enterprises.

4.  Write up a sales letter.  Don’t make it too long, but be sure to cover the main points of your eBook.  Make your reader want to buy the book.  Use enticing phrases in your sales letter, such as “Learn the three money making secrets that they don’t want you finding out.  Using “they” is always a good strategy because it means something different to every reader.  Also, be sure to include a way for them to buy your book, such as a PayPal Buy Button.

5.  Price your eBook and bonus books from between $15 to $30.

5.  Post your sales page to Digital Point forums.

That’s all there is to it.  It’s not guaranteed money, but you’ll probably start seeing a few sales roll in.  The nice thing is that this method will stay there and keep bringing in money while you do other books.

Be sure to create quality content.  As you get known on Digital Point you’ll want to be known for writing quality material.  Being known for producing substandard material will hurt your sales.  You’ll also be issuing more refunds.

Speaking of refunds, expect to issue a lot of them.  People purchasing digital products often return them for a refund.  Because of this, we don’t recommend that you use ClickBank for your processing.  ClickBank requires you to allow refunds for sixty days.  You can protect yourself by putting your refund policy in the sales letter.  Something simple, such as “Because this is a digital product, we are unable to offer refunds.  All sales are final.” will help protect you.  You’ll be able to point that out to PayPal when someone tries to return it.

One last thing, Digital Point offers a premium membership that allows you to “re-up” your posting once a week.  It’s currently $25 per month.  Purchasing it will allow you to “bump up” your threads every seven days instead of the usual thirty-day period, not to mention a lot of other stuff too.  That will help you to keep your sales letter on the top.

Article Builder Is Back Open

Jon Leger’s recent offering, Article Builder, is back open for a limited time. If you’ve been following this site, you’ll know that it has opened and closed to new signups several times in the past couple of months. This may be your chance to jump on the bandwagon. . . You know, if you’re a bandwagon jumping kind of person.

Here’s what Article Builder does, it allows you to create a “new” article by just choosing from a group of about 36 main topics – everything from Acne to Weight Loss – and then choose several sub-topics. After you’ve done that you simply click a button and it creates an article for you.

The way it appears to work is that Jon has a team of researchers who gather lots of snippets from various articles around the Internet. Each snippet stands on its own. . . In other words, it’s not dependent on another snippet to make sense. These snippets are categorized into their appropriate topics and sub-topics. When you choose a topic and sub-topics for your article, the database searches for a random snippet in that sub-topic and then pastes them altogether in a “new” article.

Of course, there’s some debate as to whether the created article constitutes a “new” article. However, even if it won’t pass a Copyscape test, it would probably pass a Google test. We don’t know that for sure though. The cost of the application is $297.00 USD per year. We write our own articles, so we don’t have much of a need for an article building program. Still, if Jon wants to send us a review copy we’ll be happy to try it out and post our results.

We suppose that if you don’t want to write your own articles then this is the next best thing. It’s probably a step up from WP Robot, which recycles other article site postings, but it’s probably not as good as doing your own research and writing your own article. Still, there is something to be said for creating an article in just a few moments and you can always spin the article to make something new.

Easy Extra Cash With Yahoo! Answers

Today we’ll work on making some extra cash using Amazon and Yahoo! Answers.  You’ll need a WordPress website for this method, but it doesn’t have to be anything elaborate.  Here’s what you need to do:

1.  Choose A Domain Name – Get a domain name if you don’t already have one.  We recommend using Go Daddy, but it’s your choice.  Choose a domain name that is fairly generic, but that is the retail genre.  An example might be HardToFindProducts.com.  This gives you the opportunity to add other products that people are looking for.

2.  Select A Web Host – You’ll need a web hosting account to host your website.  If you don’t already have one, we recommend using HostGator.  Here’s how to get a month of HostGator web hosting for FREE.

3.  Create Your Website – Build a WordPress website that will allow you to display Amazon products.  It doesn’t have to be fancy.  Here’s a decent tutorial that we found on the Internet.  You don’t need to add the products by hand.  Just install the AmazonPress plugin in WordPress.

4.  Sign Up For Amazon Associates – Once you’ve got your website running sign up for an account at Amazon Associates.  Their website is at https://affiliate-program.amazon.com.

5.  Sign Up For Yahoo! Answers – Next sign up for an account at Yahoo Answers!.  Their website is at http://www.answers.yahoo.com.

6.  Find Some Questions – Now that you’ve got your website up and running, as well as your Amazon Associates and Yahoo! Answers  accounts it’s time to start making money.  Go to Yahoo! Answers and search for “Where To Buy”, “Where Can I Buy” or “I Want To Buy”.  You’ll be surprised at the number of results you get.  Filter your results by time.  Use only results from the past day. . . the past week at the most.

7.  Create A List – Pick out some promising results.  Look for results that appear to be products that Amazon will carry.  Type the products into a spreadsheet under the heading name “Products Requested.  Also make a heading called “Yahoo! URL” and add the link to the question to your spreadsheet next to the product name.  Add one more heading called “Post Link”, but leave the field blank for now.  Find several product requests and add them to your spreadsheet.

8.  Update Your Website – Next, find the products at Amazon.com and add them to your website using the AmazonPress plugin.  If you’re doing it manually, be sure to add just one product per post.  Note the post URL next to the appropriate product in the field you left blank.

9.  Answer Their Question – Now, go back to the URL listed in your spreadsheet under the heading “Yahoo! URL” and type “I found what you’re looking for at [Your Website.com/Post URL].

That’s all there is to it.  Just keep finding requests and adding products.  The best part is that the links should continue to bring money in even months later.  As you add products you can start making more and more money.

Some people may wonder why they shouldn’t just put their affiliate link right into Yahoo! Answers.  There are two reasons for this:

1.  Amazon only provides HTML links to their products.

2.  Yahoo! Answers doesn’t allow affiliate links in their answers.

You can try creating a Twitter account, tweeting the Amazon link and then posting the tweet into Yahoo! Answers.  That would eliminate the need for a website, but we like the control that a website gives you.

How To Make $100 A Day Or More

Let’s get started with a pretty simple method that’s fairly easy to implement and won’t break the bank.  It involves setting up a review site, but with a twist.  It takes a while to set up and maintain, but it can generate money pretty quickly.  Here are the step-by-step instructions:

1.  Select Your Niche – There are a lot of niches that will work for this type of method.  What you want to look for are niches that are popular and offer a variety of affiliate programs that you can choose from.  Some popular choices are weight loss, dating and dog training.  Any niche that continues to draw crowds should work just fine.

2.  Find A Product – Once you’ve selected your niche you need to verify that there are affiliate products available for it.  You’ll want a niche that has several products to choose from.  The reason for this is that you want to promote products that are popular, but not necessarily the same products that everyone else is promoting.  Check with ClickBank or perhaps a C.P.A. network to find some good choices.

3.  Secure A Domain Name -  For the best results, invest in a .com domain name.  If you don’t already have one, try using Go Daddy as a registrar.  Some people have strong opinions about Go Daddy, but we think that they generally provide good service.  Use this link to register .com domain names for only $5.99 USD.  Try to choose a domain name that is relevant to your niche.  For instance, if you choose “weight loss” you might try to get the domain name “WeightLossProductReviews.com” or something similar.

4.  Find Web Hosting – You use web hosting to house the actual files that make your website display.  If you don’t already have web hosting, we recommend using HostGator.  There are two reason for this.  The first is that they provide bulletproof web hosting.  Second, they offer great customer support that’s available 24/7.  If you have a problem, they’ll walk you through it.  The third reason is because you can get hosting for FREE for your first month by using this link.

5.  Build A Review Website – If you’ve never built a website before, check out our guide for help.  We recommend using WordPress for this site because it’s easy to expand upon.  If you’ve never used WordPress before, check out this WordPress guide.  Use a WordPress review site theme to add legitimacy to your site.  Click here for one that looks decent and appears to be free (Be sure to check for viruses and use at your own risk!)  We don’t recommend hosting the sites on WordPress.com or any other other free sites.  You’re going to want the site to look like a professional review site.

6.  Write Three Reviews – You need to write one review for each of three products that you’re promoting.  In each review, list the product name, the author or developer, the brand or company name and the version if the product is software.  Next, write a short review of the product.  We don’t recommend making false claims.  Instead, you can research the product on the Internet and paraphrase other reviews.  Include some user comments that you find.  Your review doesn’t have to be the length of a book.  A few paragraphs should suffice.  At the end of the review, you should include a button or link that says “Visit The Product Website” or “Get More Information”.  Buried inside this link will be your cloaked affiliate link.  When someone clicks on that link and buys the product then you’ll make a commission.  Do this for each of your three to five products.

7.  Setup Google Alerts – So far, this method has been pretty straightforward.  It’s a typical review website.  Here’s the twist.  Go to Google and setup Google Alerts for the following items:

• The Product Name – Setup an alert for each of the products that you have reviewed.
• Your Niche – For instance, weight loss.
• Any Competitor’s Products – If one of your weight loss products is “Weight Watchers”, setup an alert for “Jenny Craig”.
• Any Other Relevant Items – In the weight loss niche you might set up an alert for “weight loss breakthroughs”.

Once you have the alerts setup Google will begin to email you whenever they index a page that deals with your alert subject.  If you’ve selected a popular niche, you should receive more than 100 alerts every day.

8.  Check Your Google Alerts – Check your email frequently and make a list of each URL you’ve received.

9.  Visit The Websites – When you receive a Google Alert visit the website right away and comment on the post.  You want to do this quickly so that you can be one of the first to respond to it.  If the site is a blog or a forum, write a thoughtful comment with a link to your website.  This is not the time to offer a generic comment.  You will want to put some thought into it so that the moderator will approve your comment.  Some examples are:

• I was considering [product].  I got some good information about it at [your website].
• Whenever I’m thinking about buying anything to do with [niche] products, I always check out [your website] first.  They have a lot of good information there.

You get the idea.  A lot of your replies won’t get approved or they’ll get approved and then pulled.  However, by being early to the party you’ll get some quick traffic to your site.  This will help you rise in the SERP’s (Search Engine Result Pages) and may even help bring in some targeted traffic beside what you get from commenting.

Forums are always good because you’re very likely to be approved and you’ll continue to get traffic to your site from your post.

10.  Repeat The Process – This method is great because you can continue to do it over and over again.  Add products to your existing niche or start a new one.
