The spa industry in Indonesia has become the third fastest developing and biggest in Asia after those in India and China, The Cultural and Tourism minister said in a press statement "in 2010 the spa industry in Indonesia grew seven percent or almost as fast as that in China which grew eight percent and that in India which developed 11 percent."This meant Indonesia’s spa industry had undergone significant growth , he said. The minister said the spa industry could not be separated from tourism and therefore it was also contributing economically to Indonesia."We do not know the exact number of spas in the country or how many workers they have absorbed and how much it has contributed to the economy.
