From http://www.learnspanishrapdily.com comes
this short video with 16 reasons to learn Spanish,
specifically to learn to speak Spanish. My husband and
I lived in Mexico, and roamed around many parts of it,
for five years recently. We took the photos. Our
Spanish conversation skills improved as we chatted or
had long conversations with the people shown here, and
many others. We found that speaking Spanish, even with
the numerous errors that we made, was great fun and
that the Mexican people were very gracious about our
errors. We studied Spanish in a variety of ways and out
of that grew my website on how to speak Spanish. Do
take a look! -- Rosana Hart

From http://www.llamas-information.com comes this
llama training video showing noted llama trainer Bobra
Goldsmith demonstrating her slow-motion haltering
technique. As you watch her training a young and
somewhat reluctant llama to accept being caught and
haltered, you hear her commentary explaining what she
is doing and why. Why does she put the halter on so
slowly? Bobra has trained countless llamas, and her
methods have been widely used by llama owners and also
with alpacas and other camelids. (Camelids are llamas,
alpacas, and their wild relatives guanacos and
vicunas.) This video is a short selection from a DVD
called "Llama Training with Bobra Goldsmith: What Every
Llama Should Know." This two-hour program demonstrates
catching and haltering a variety of llamas. You see
Bobra doing it and you see a student giving it a try.
You see loading into vehicles. You see a variety of
llama training projects, complete with llamas who
resist vigorously. The program includes Specific
methods for initial contact Her slow motion technique
of haltering Leading with a light hand Loading into
vehicles Kushing (sitting down) Developing trust and
willingness. Llama training is great fun, as the
animals are so responsive. That's due to their
intelligence and and curiosity -- a great combination.
If you have been thinking of training a llama, do give
it a try! It is great fun, with Bobra's methods or with
any gentle method. And visit our website to find out
more about llamas and llama training.

From http://www.training-dogs.com comes this
quick and easy dog trick you can teach your dog or
puppy. Training dog tricks is a very enjoyable break
from routine dog training. This minute and a half video
"Easy Dog Trick: Wash Your Face" shows you how to do
it, with or without clicker training. Having a trick
dog can start with something as simple as this little
project. Teaching dogs tricks is lots of fun, too! To
teach your dog to wash its face, just put a little
honey on his nose and say "Wash your face!" After a
while your dog or puppy will do it when you ask, even
without the honey. Clicker training can be used too, to
catch the moment the dog licks. For more about
enjoyable and positive dog training, do come by
http://www.training-dogs.com/blog/ where there's always
something fun to read!
