It is great for storing numbers in but you can't use letters below the first line of the display and this makes it difficult to store E-mail and Snail Mail addresses. If you only E-mail and write people and don't call them you would be better off paying a little more for a better organizer. If you just can't seem to keep up with paper then this Little fellow might just be what you need.

The thing goes to sleep constantly - to save battery power of your laptop I suppose - but this feature is very annoying if you use a 10-key a lot. The device also constantly freezes up - I find I have to stick the end of a paper clip into the 'reset' hole on the back of the device several times a week. The keys are also stiff - you have to hit them hard, which makes it easy to miss numbers if you are typing quickly. I am ready to throw mine away and try something else.

When I first tried to look up a word and needed to scroll down I couldn't figure it out, but that was with no manual and 2 minutes of examination. Shortly after that I purchased the Spanish English version by Franklin for myself - exact same layout - I READ the MANUAL - the up down scroll is on the side of the unit - left of the screen - not on the keyboard portion of the Spanish/English one. That scroll button is quite functional. Don't let the previous review dissuade you from purchasing this item. The only thing I can say about it is that with only 100,000 words its use becomes less valuable the older you are and the greater your vocabulary - you have to remember that the words a, the, an, it, he, she, etc. are part of that 100k. Would definitely recommend to high school students and below. Hope that helps.

(More customer reviews)In Microsoft's previous design of their Natural Elite keyboard, they attempted to decrease the footprint size of the keyboard by rearranging the cursor keypad along with the PAGE UP/DOWN, HOME/END, and DELETE/INSERT keys. This unfamiliar and unnatural key arrangement caused problems for many users. Now the original standard arrangement has been restored. Yes!
New with this keyboard is a massive row of programmable shortcut buttons along the top. Many of them replicate your web browser's buttons like back/forward, stop, and so on. Others are quick launch buttons for applications like e-mail, web browser, and the calculator. The calculator is probably the most useful shortcut button because it would normally take four mouse movements to launch the calculator from the Accessories Programs Start Menu folder. Believe it or not, the calculator launch button is right above the numeric keypad--good deal!
Another bonus feature of this keyboard is the common shortcut keys printed on the front edge of the respective keys. The CTRL key has a star-like symbol next to it, and you'll find the same symbol printed on the front of several keys like C, X, and V with the shortcut names "Copy", "Cut", and "Paste". These cues are good for helping users learn the keyboard shotcuts to eliminate slower mouse movements.
What's left to improve on? Well, how abot a set of buttons that correspond to the common buttons found in every window? There's the minimize, maximize/restore, close, and scrollbar up/down/left/right. Arrange these buttons on the keyboard in a layout that represents their visual arrangement on screen.
The keys are responsive and fast, but they still seem to lack a feel that provides good tactile feedback for fast typists. Good keys tend to spring back quickly and have a definite threshold point and resistance level; this is more commonly found in more expensive keyboards. I prefer the feel of some Hewlett Packard keyboards I've used that ship with their high-end workstations/servers--other people probably have different tastes for keyboard feel. Overall, the feel of the Microsoft keyboard is comfortable and quiet, but maybe they will work on the keys a little more in a newer model.

(More customer reviews)I think this optical instrument should be mandatory on all golf courses. Just as iPods have obviated CDs, this device will completely obviate the need for yardages on sprinkler heads and the like. Here's my normal round without the Bushnell Pinseeker: I drive out in the fairway -- hopefully -- and then have to find a sprinkler head. From there I have to pace it off to my ball. I get a yardage, but that's to the center of the green. At my home course I go to a pin sheet which has a crude outline of the green with four numbers on the green -- back left, back right, front left, front center. Now, assuming we're playing the back left number, I have to do some speculative math to determine how far back left the pin is, add that to the yardage ... you get the picture. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! The Bushnell zeroes in on the flag and gives me an exact-to-the-pin yardage every time. DO NOT get the cheaper versions as the optics are not good and it's almost impossible to lock in on the flag -- you will be terribly disappointed if you get the under $200 one. And the one that factors in slope is not USGA legal. I just finished a round at famous Riviera C.C. I had a caddy. He was calculating yardages for both me and my partner and he was amazingly accurate, but the time he wasted pacing off yardages from sprinkler heads ... and whenever someone hit it right or left in the Eucalyptuses he relied heavily on my Bushnell for the yardages. And he was not spot-on with his distances. This has been by far the best new thing I have put in my bag. It's a little pricey but then no one thinks about spending $400 for that new driver that does nothing to improve their swing. One thing the Bushnell has done is to really refine my iron distances. I'm a single digit handicap and this beautiful little instrument has just been a fantastic addition. I don't work for the company and I think their cheaper products are garbage. But this little guy is a beaut.

Laser Rangefinder Tech Talk
A laser rangefinder is a distance-measuring instrument that uses laser technology to calculate the distance to targeted objects. Accuracy is +/- 1 yard, and the distance is displayed instantaneously on a built-in, through-the-lens Liquid Crystal Display.
How a Laser Rangefinder Works Bushnell's Yardage Pro rangefinders use an invisible, eye-safe Class 1 Laser beam (as classified by the FDA) which is "bounced" off distant objects with the press of a button. Then, the rangefinder's high-speed digital clock measures the time it took for a laser beam to reach a target and return to the unit. Next, using advanced digital electronics, the rangefinder instantly calculates the distance within +/- 1 yard and shows the range in either yards or meters on a through-the-lens LCD Display. The entire process is so fast that less than a second elapses between the time you press the button to generate a laser beam to the time the exact range to your target is displayed.
Reflectivity of Target Types Because rangefinders "bounce" a laser beam off the target in order to take a measurement, their range is partially determined by the reflectivity of the target. In other words, hard or "reflective" targets -- like a rock cliff or semi-truck -- can be measured at greater distances than soft surface targets, like a deer. Ranges for moderately reflective targets, like trees, fall somewhere in the middle. Most experienced hunters will use their rangefinder to frequently estimate ranges to near and distant landmarks before they actually encounter a game animal. By "pre-measuring" ranges to spots where a trophy is likely to appear, they can concentrate on making an accurate shot when the moment of truth arrives.

The capability to connect external battery is great, since that can help reduce the downtime when California experiencing "rolling black" in the summer.
There are basically 2 differences between the Back-UPS RS(BR1500) and the Back-UPS XS (BX1500) models besides their names.1. The Back-UPS RS models have both 1-line 2-wire phone/fax/modem data-line protection and 10/100base-T ethernet protection, where as the Back-UPS XS models only has 1-line 2-wire phone/fax/modem protection.
2. The Back-UPS RS models have both Boost* and Trim** as features of Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR), where as the Back-UPS XS only has Boost. When the input voltage increases above the high transfer point of a Back-UPS XS model it will only go to battery.*AVR Boost: The UPS is compensating for a low utility voltage. While the UPS can run in this mode indefinitely without any negative impact on the UPS, the circuit should be checked by a qualified electrician if the utility voltage is consistently low.
**AVR Trim: The UPS is compensating for a high utility voltage. While the UPS can run in this mode indefinitely without any negative impact on the UPS, the circuit should be checked by a qualified electrician if the utility voltage is consistently high.
BX1500 does not have the AVR trim feature, when AC line voltage is higher than spec, it will switch over the battery power till the line voltage drops into the spec range.
Please note this is called "backup UPS", not the "smart UPS" line. Backup UPS does not produce pure sine wave. When power lost, it will take some milli-seconds to switch over to battery power. "Smart-UPS" produces sine wave and the output AC was from DC source all the time. When AC input lost, the AC output will not have any interrupt.
For most computers, the "backup-UPS" is good enough, since the power supply inside PC always have capacitors that can hold for about 100MS or longer. When "backup-UPS" switched over in about 20MS, the computer will continue operates without much impact. But for A/V equipment, this may be an issue, especially the output is not pure sine wave. I would not recommend use this UPS for A/V equipment.

Microsoft Multimedia Keyboard Review

(More customer reviews)Bought this keyboard because I loved the old Internet Keyboard Pro, but it was worn out and showing it's wear, and since Microsoft pulled that model off the market, I went with this one.
The media buttons on top are located at all the right places and are clearly marked. I love the Delete 'bar', which is so much better because I don't use the Insert command enough so that it becomes an annoyance when I overtype in a document.
The only problems I have with the keyboard is that it takes awhile to get used to the switching of the F1-F12 keys. Light the F-Lock key above Num Lock, and you get your regular functions with it, but if they're off, you have to adjust to a different way of using them. The F-Lock light is turned off when I boot, so it's jarring when a save dialouge comes up for F11 instead of the browser going to full-screen. Support for Insert and Scroll Lock is there for the few people that use it on the print screen and pause/break keys, but make sure the light is on beforehand, hopefully Microsoft allows you a "FLock key lit on reboot" option in their next keyboard software release.
The other thing is F1-F12 are in four three-key groups instead of thre four-key groups. Jarred me a little, I'm sure to get used to it soon enough, but if you're an expert, you may want to look somewhere else if the F keys are the way you always work in programs. Also, Home and End are side by side, with Page Up and Page Down vertical below them, and the keys surround the Delete bar. May take awhile to get used to End above Page Up, And Home off to the side. You get used to it though, so it's nothing bad for me.
All in all, another fine piece of Microsoft hardware. If you can handle relearning a new way to work with function keys and Insert, and a new way to type off the QWERTY and number pad areas, this is a great keyboard for you. If you're a power user though, just get a keyboard with the usual 104 layout.

(More customer reviews)This is the first bluetooth system I've ever used, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Installing it could have been easier, (reflected in the ease of use rating) but once it was done I never looked back.
The only glitch for me was getting used to the need to wake the peices up after being away from the computer for a while. Now it's just routine to hit a key on the keyboard and media pad and move the mouse as soon as I get close.
I've had the system for two years now and have had none of the problems mentioned by the other posters. I even take all three peices with me in my laptop bag when I travel between my three offices and I have never experienced a problem. The ergonomics of the keyboard, the quiet short stroke keys and media control are great.
I'm typically at the computer about eight hours a day and yes the media pad goes through batteries the fastest but the 2650 mAh rechargables last three to five weeks on a charge. The keyboard will go for two months on a fully charged set of batteries and the rechargable mouse will usually go about five days.
Like I said in the title the only thing I wish it would do is glow in the dark. I typically work with the lights off and the thinline white letters on the keys are tough to see when I look down from the bright screen.
I liked it so much I bought my wife a Logitech blutooth mouse and keyboard for her desktop. It's not a diNovo but she loves it just like I do mine

I used this for a week before exchanging it for a IIIc. Same price, same memory, same processor, a little larger, more accessories, and COLOR! With the included plastic flip cover in place, I can put the IIIc into my pocket without much worry of damage (as long as I don't sit on it). Unless you HAVE to have the wireless features of the VII, or you only have the budget for an M100, the IIIc is the way to go.

(More customer reviews)Bought this GPS for $60. The good thing is that it can be easily unlocked into a general purpose WINCE machine. The RW400 comes with a multimedia menu out of the box, where you can read txt, watch a few kinds of videos and view pics in a ugly browser. But that's far from what it can actually do. Search "towince" and download the exe into any folder on the SD card that comes with your machine. Change the GPS path to where it is and run. Voila! The WINCE desktop appears! You can view every on-device directory, edit the registry, and launch various applications---it's even pre-loaded with pdf/doc/ppt softwares. Funny why they installed all those stuff if they are not willing to show them to the users.
The copilot software is OK. Smooth interface and quite accurate directions, but 3D display seems a little lagging when there're lots of objects on the map. Not so many POIs---can not find the local bloom store and a newly opened cinema. But you can load your own POI file. Anyway, nearly everything on this device is customizable, including changing GPS software.
Power drains VERY quickly though. Need a recharge every 2 hours if used heavily.
In short, this is a great GPS for geeks who have love of such gadgets. Price is unbeatable.
