If you’re looking into Blackpool stag weekends you’re likely to be
surprised and encouraged by the scale of the city’s successes.
It’s obviously famous for political conferences (yawn) and more
recently a well coached football team (go on the Tangerines) but
you might not know it’s far and away the UK’s most visited
resort. Over 6 million a year at the last count! That’s not any
old statistic, it’s a big deal and consequently entertainment is
taken very seriously … and gentlemen we’re not just talking camp
cabaret.
So what should you do on Blackpool stag weekends? What’s key in the itinerary? Where should we stay? Our team can help you with all of that and you’ll tap into some very beneficial expertise but in the meantime here are a few pointers to take on board …
Accommodation - Stay somewhere with a bit more class, the boys will be pleased to have a decent base. There’s a lot of accommodation here and much of it is priced similarly but it’s not all equal.
Activities – Pick at least one activity you and the boys will enjoy, we’d suggest two. One a little more budget sensitive and one as a cornerstone of the weekend, you definitely want to look forward to a big event. For example you could hit the track in the morning for a little competitive go karting followed by horse racing or football in the afternoon. That gents would be a very decent, group pleasing day and keep you out of the boozers until the evening, good work!
Nightlife - This will be even livelier than the activities so plan well, there’s no shortage of bars but you could also think about a comedy club and or casino on the Friday with post dinner lap dancing and VIP clubbing on the Saturday. See the rest of what’s on offer for a Blackpool stag night.
So there it is gentlemen, a few things to think about for Blackpool stag weekends and if you want to chat through ideas or recommendations just drop us a line.
If tough deadlines and constant pressure is taking a toll on your workforce, taking them out on an adventure trip around Bangalore could be a nice way to beat the stress. Trekking is one of the many adventure activities that places around Bangalore have to offer. While there are a lot of Bangalore trekking trails, we have picked 5 of the best ones out there.
Anatargange
Located in Kolar, about 60 km from the city of Bangalore, Anatargange offers not such a strenuous experience, but still, a very rejuvenating trekking experience. The 45 minute trek to the top of the hill involves a bit of rock climbing, nice camping and a lot of fun; the view from the top is every bit rewarding.
Savanadurga trek
Savanadurga is the largest
monolith in Karnataka, located in Magadi. With a height of 4050
feet above sea level, trekking to the top of this single rock
formation is a real adventure. At the top of it lies a historical
fortress which is believed to have been built by Kempegowda II.
There is even a conglomerating of two peaks near Savanadurga,
namely Billiguddda and Karigudda. Between them lies the valley of
Ramanagar, another popular trekking route to explore.
Kodachadri trek
Kodachadri is one of the highest peaks
in Karnataka, located about a 100 km from Shimoga district. It
lies in the Mookambika National Park. With a height of more than
1300 meters above sea level, the top of the peak is believed to
have been the meditation ground for Guru Shankaracharya. A trek
to the top takes you through verdant greenery, waterfalls and
other scenic adventures; and the top of the peak rewards you with
scintillating views and some really romantic sunrises and
sunsets.
Green Route Trek
If you like a little more
mystic to your trekking trails, the Green Route Trek is what is
ideal for you. The Green Route Trek lies along the
Bangalore-Mangalore railway line and takes you through
interesting caves, biodiversity hotspots and everything in
between. Trekking through this 20 km trail would be a lifetime
experience for your corporate team.
Ranganathaswamy Betta trek
40 km from Bangalore, it is
a peak with a temple dedicated to Lord Ranganathaswamy.
There
is interesting flora to be explored along the trail, and you even
get to see some wildlife along the way. The trek to the top of
this peak is about 4 km, which is ideal for a day off from office
for a little bit of fun.
Eighty eight years ago Lt Col Strutt made a pledge during the 1924 Olympic Games, that he would return one of his teams’ gold medals to the summit of Mount Everest. Strutt and his team won a total of 21 gold medals for their Everest climb attempt and this year, the race is on to complete the mission.
Brit mountaineer extraordinaire Kenton Cool (great name) will
climb Everest for the tenth time in his successful career and
deposit the medal at the peak of mighty Everest. More information

Walking, hiking or trekking…what better way to get outdoors and experience the natural beauty of the places you visit?
Around the globe there are amazing trails to follow which will take you to beautiful and historic spots. Here are our favorites.
Great Britain - The
British have used rambling as a way to keep fit for centuries and
no wonder with so much of the land free to roam and perfect for
walking. There’s a wide range of walks to choose from including
coastal, forest and hilly terrain, themed walks and family walks.
Areas providing exceptional scenic and historic interest along
the way are the Cornish Coast, the Cotswolds, the Lake District,
Welsh countryside, Scottish Highlands, Border Abbeys and the path
along Hadrian’s Wall in the north of England.
New Zealand - This
outdoor paradise has 461 tracks for you to enjoy and no natural
predators to disturb you. Internationally renowned are the
Milford Track, a four-day alpine trail in Fjordland National Park
and Routeburn Track, two to three days between Fiordland and Lake
Wakatipu on the South Island. There are plenty of others to
explore along the coast, through Kauri forests and volcanic
areas. Marlborough Sound is particularly picturesque along The
Queen Charlotte Track. Along the way you’ll find accommodation
ranging from hiking huts to luxury hotels with gourmet cuisine.
Join a guided hike or venture off on your own. New Zealand
certainly offers incredible variety for your outdoor adventure.
Tibet and Nepal - World class trekking takes place in these Himalayan countries where you’ll trek through rhododendron forests, Sherpa villages and glacial moraines. You can even reach a base camp on the world’s two highest mountains, Everest and K2. From easy hikes to peak climbs, you’ll see some of the most remote mountain scenery in the world.
Peru - One of the most
popular treks anywhere is the Incan Trail from Cusco to the ruins
of Machu Picchu, high in the Andes. This four-day trek is steep
and spectacular. Porters help carry goods and experienced guides
lead the way as you follow in the footsteps of the Incas. Truly
one of the most memorable trekking experiences you can have.
Alaska - Hiking is an excellent way to discover the natural beauty of the Great Land and there’s a wide variety of trails to explore. Tundra walks with views of Mt. McKinley, glacier hikes, forest and mountain trails, walks along a lake, a stream or the Inside Passage bring you close to Alaska’s pristine and remarkable nature.
Africa - While trekking
Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, and maybe even reaching the
summit of Africa’s highest peak, is high on every trekker’s list,
Africa offers many other fascinating opportunities: Gorilla treks
in Rwanda, hikes on and around Mt. Kenya, rainforest walks at
Victoria Falls and wilderness trails in South Africa’s Kruger
National Park, Drakensburg region or Cape Point are just a few of
the many enticing adventures available.
