It coudn't work as the seller (producer) say it does because it simply designed the way it can't perform properly. The currency can't go through the rubber brissles, so while there is light going through the wholes, the rubber brissles don't massage your scalp.
Also, Loren (one of the owners of Balkowitsch Enterprises) was rude and didn't want to discuss the deficiency of this product. I have to pay shipping cost out of pocket to return the merchandise.

(More customer reviews)Well, I'd written a glowing, very detailed review of this item 2 days after I received it as a birthday gift. It's beautiful, works well diffusing oils into the air gently, and *didn't survive* 4 days of intermittent use.
The first time the water came below the sensor, it turned off, as it was supposed to. According to the (badly written) instructions, I should have been able to just add water to bring the level over the sensor and it would work again. Nope. I unplugged it, filled it, and the sensor light was still on. I let it rest for about an hour. It turned on and made mist/diffused for about 3 minutes and shut off again - the red light indicating a too-low water level. Unfortunately, the sensor happened to be under about an inch of water at the time. After many attempts to remedy this situation, I'm going to have to ask the purchaser for the receipt so I can send it back. It's too bad because I was completely in love with this item.
I might try just to get a replacement, but I might return it for a completely different ultrasonic diffuser.

I wish the brush had worked and still not sure were to buy another locally that I can bring back if it stops working.
I also need to note my last Nisim brush worked for 4 or 5 years no problems. I know they changed this brush some from my old one and maybe that is the issue.

An added benefit is that it is convenient to use at bedtime or while watching TV--no need to strap or to hold anything at a precise spot. Other "infrared" gadgets can help, but not as much, and not at all if they are too cumbersome to use regularly. One slight problem: the timer on ours is not very accurate, so we use a digital kitchen timer, turning it off when the bell sounds. I am thinking of getting one for the bathroom. I spend at least 1/2 hour daily in the bathroom--why not make it a health-building event?
THE AME TDP LAMP is also listed at Amazon for $170. I believe that the Gou Gang is the "original," but the AME might well come from the same factory. It looks to me like the same thing, and I would guess is just as good. The only apparent difference is in the weight. The Gou Gang lamp is 32 pounds--the AME lamp is 16 pounds. The Gou Gang lamp is very solidly built, even over-built. If you run a clinic and are concerned about it surviving rough handling, then by all means get the Gou Gang. However if you want something that is easy to move around, then the AME is worth a try. ("Just maybe" the AME timer even works better.)

It is THAT good, try it once, and you will be hooked. Two little balls go up and down your spine like little fingers. It is a very intense experience. I was sore for a day afterwards until I took a nice hot shower. Then, I had to buy my own unit. It is like visiting your own personal massage therapist whenever you want. Basically, the shiatsu balls work the lower thru upper back and the cushions vibrate in different ways to invigorate your thighs. But make no mistake, this little baby is about getting those stubborn knots out of your back. A little bit of heaven on my couch. Ahhh.........
3/11/04- An update here, do NOT use this product on a recliner. I was reclined and leaned to the side..SNAP...it broke. 3 weeks later my brother plopped down on his reclined chair and broke his too. I sent it off for repairs and am dying to get it back. WARNING- If you do buy this, use a straight back chair, like a kitchen chair. My brothers inlaws use a straightback chair and have had no problems. Don't use it in a recliner!

You just prop it on a chair or couch (there are straps you can use to tie it in place if your chair allows) and plug it in. There is a remote control pocket attached to the chair on the right. The remote is attached to the chair by a cord: in other words, it won't be joining other remotes in your couch cushions, which is great. The remote control itself is laid out very sensibly, so that it's very easy to operate.
There are two types of massage, shiatsu and rolling, either of which can be used with or without heat. Shiatsu massage is a deeper massage and feels like a knobby ball is being rolled around your back. Rolling massage is gentler and feels like wheels are rolling up and down alongside your spine, which is pretty much just what's happening: there are two rollers on either side of the chair. The horizontal distance between them can be adjusted using the width button. (There is a demo feature on the remote which gives a quick run-through of all the cushion's settings.)
Both types of massage, shiatsu and rolling, can be concentrated on the upper or lower back or set to massage the full back. In addition, in the shiatsu mode you can concentrate the massage on a single spot, adjusting it using up and down buttons.
I haven't tried other massage cushions/chairs, so I can't compare this product with the competition. Nor can I speak to the product's endurance, as I haven't used it yet for a long time. But these are the cushion's pros and cons as I see them:
PROS:
-- Easy to operate
-- Sensibly designed remote control
-- Remote can't get lost
-- Light weight
-- Auto shut-off after 15 minutes
-- It feels pretty darn good
CONS:
-- The rollers don't go up high enough to reach my shoulders (I'm 5'9"). People with upper back problems may not find this cushion helpful.
I used to wake up every morning with a stiff back, feeling like my spine would splinter if I twisted at all. That doesn't happen anymore, but boy would I have wanted this chair then, particularly the rolling full-back massage.

I've researched many and used a few diffuser and this is the best. Probably the only one at the top without some serious problem.
I followed the instructions (you HAVE to do that) and it works perfectly every time.
HOWEVER...you must thoroughly clean the unit after every use.
You cannot leave anything in the unit overnight...it will gum up the works.
Sadly, we'll have to wait for some new alien technology to totally revolutionize diffusers to avoid this. What this thing does is use an ultrasonic pad to turn the liquid into mist, which will leave a residue. I'm not going to try it but I'm sure performance would degrade rapidly if it were not cleaned until such time as it stops working (weeks? no more than a month).
Also...it's not easy to clean...they didn't design it to be easy to clean. I have larger ultrasonic humidifiers which are easy to clean. This one is so tiny it's hard to get to all the crevices.
On the box it says it is a humidifier/diffuser. Which is true. If you put nothing but distilled water in it, you could use it as a humidifier for a very small area and never clean it. So...following that logic, you could use any humidifier as a diffuser. Just put a few drops of essential oil and some water on the ultrasonic pad then put the water tank in place and turn it on.
Advice:
Don't put it next to something that emits heat ... it has a sensor and will shut itself off if it overheats.

(More customer reviews)I bought the Mabis BBT after the store brand BBT I purchased took five minutes to give a reading. I researched this one well, and was excited to see it only took a minute and was inexpensive.
Yes, it's quicker than the bad thermometer, BUT it takes more like 2 minutes to register, and the display is NOT "large and easy to read" by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, it's quite difficult to read without being tilted in the right light, and the display is the same size or smaller than most of the thermometers I've seen.
I believe it IS reliable and accurate. Plus, it's only around $8 at my local Kmart (I was desperate to get one quickly). It recalls the last reading, and the beeping when it's done isn't annoying or loud enough to wake me up fully (a good thing, for me).
Overall, I think this is a fair product in the lower BBT price range, but there are likely better thermometers out there if you're looking for speed and ease. I would keep this one if charting was a shorter term activity, but because I'm planning on doing it for years to come, I'll likely buy the BD Digital Basal Toni Weschler recommends (though it looks like Amazon doesn't currently carry it, unfortunately).

(More customer reviews)I purchased this steamer a month ago and used for about 5 times now (only about 3 minutes every time). here is my experience: The machine does produce steams, but it also spits out the very hot water to your face. I have never used any greasy stuff in the water, neither did I add water outside the limit mark. I used only purified water. But it consistently spits out the dangerous hot water to my face as long as it starts to produce steam. It makes a very dangerous sound while the water spitting out. I felt like the a dangerous hot water bomb hanging above my head. The water being spitted out was very hot and can get somebody seriously burned. I surely don't recommend this product (not sure about similar products of other brands). It is a totally waste. I think that the company including Amazon should be careful of selling this product. It is going to be a big issue if somebody get seriously injuried on her FACE.

(More customer reviews)After reading the reviews, I decided to purchase this chair. It does actually say on the box that the working weight is 300 lbs not 1000 lbs. I'm not sure why it's advertised for the greater weight, but I suppose most people fall under the category of 'under 300 lbs'. It is also true that there aren't any instructions included, but it's pretty simple to figure out and it's already put together. My biggest problem was figuring out how to fold it back up again, but that didn't take too long. The color is a dark navy blue, which I prefer, and not the bright blue seen in the picture. It is well made and very comfortable. I am over 6 feet and did find it a little tricky to make it fit my height. Fortunately, the face cushion is attached by velcro to the frame, so it was just a matter of 'ripping' it off and repositioning it as far 'up' as it could go. There is a 'sternum' pad that is included that I needed for my height. After all those little adjustments, it worked fine for me, but I could see how this would be a challenge for very big people. The case is a great option and fits easily into a closet. I would definitely recommend this chair to others.
