(More customer reviews)The trailer arrived a few days ahead of scheduled arrival date. Trailer arrived on a pallet. The polyethylene body was damaged in transit. It appeared to have been scrapped along the ground. All components were included in the packaging. First order of business was to assemble the frame. There is a plate that bolts to the front of the frame and then to the body. The holes in the plate did not align with the holes in the frame. I had to take a grinder and remove some of the material on the plate due to the weld on the frame not allowing proper fit. Then redrill mounting holes. Next was to place the body on the frame, drill holes for the bolts and install them. Next was to attach trailer tongue and hitch. Then came attaching the axle to the frame. The attach point for the axle to the frame is a poor design. If assembled according to instructions, the paint would be rubbed off the swivel arm in a matter of days. I added two washers between the swivel arm and the frame mount. This allows movement without rubbing the paint off. Also the square tubing on the frame had open ends on the front and back of the frame. I had to seal them with silicon so not to allow water and dirt to enter and rust the inside of frame. The hubs were then installed on the swivel arm. The hubs and bearings appear to be of good quality. The only problem was the grease zerk was a straight type. I replaced these with ones that had a 90 degree bend to allow for greasing without removing the wheels. The wheels and tires also appear to be of good quality.
Overall the product is well made. For 1300 dollars I was expecting much more. With a little extra attention, the company would have a very good product. If the product had been available for me to see prior to purchase, I would have not paid this much for it.

Would recommend that you use a socket wrench to install hardware since much faster to put together than using the tools provided. One stripped screw was quickly replaced with new hardware by seller for no additional cost to me. Comes with good quality cushions that I will store except for special events. It is in pieces in my garage...waiting for two new leg/arm pieces. They arrived damaged and at $400.00 I'm not settling. So, I called the company and they said they would have the manufacturer send out the new pieces (not a whole new one, just the 2 pieces). It's been over a month and my summer is slipping away. Bummer! Wish I could rate the lounge, but I haven't had a chance to try it out.

(More customer reviews)I first saw this statue in Bonaventure Cemetery in the late '80's and thought it was really neat, but didn't think much about it until the book became a best seller. It was sort of a running gag that I needed my own BIRD GIRL and I finally got it as a gift for my last birthday.
Standing approx. 3 ft tall on a rectangular base this is made of fiberglass, it has a grayish greenish bluish patina (at least mine does) and unless you try to move it, you'd think it was cast bronze like the original (which was 5 ft. tall). The fiberglass composition is pretty sturdy but clearly it is lighter than the real deal. This is a very well done reproduction and fits in the corner of my perennial garden as if it were always there. The elements do not appear to have affected its appearance over the past year, but I do keep it covered with a tarp fastened by bungee chords during the winter months since winter in MI can be pretty fierce. Unless there is an extreme act of God, I don't think this statue is going anywhere.
A friend had bought a similar Bird Girl which is approximately 2 ft tall and he gives this product high marks. He left it uncovered in IL over the winter and said it looks fine. There were no issues with fading or damage.
This is a great gift for the gardner in your life who likes the statue and wants to have his/her own BIRD GIRL.

There were 2 bolts missing but I was able to pirate them form an area were they were not needed. It took me and my 6 year old helper approximately 4 hours to put together. They included 2 Alan type wrenches but I used my DeWalt for the majority of the construction. When putting the brackets together start with the top bolt and tighten them as much as you can with your fingers. One small design problem is the long cross beams, they are a little weak in the middle do to their length.

(More customer reviews)Finally got my log splitter hooked up and running. It was a bit painful to find the hoses and get the right connections for my tractor. I ran it for about 5 hours this weekend and it works great! I have it connected to my JD2320 compact utility tractor and I only came across one piece of cherry that I couldn't split, (which contained a large cross branch in it). I split maple, cherry, apple, pine, you name it, we have it and this machine went through it smooth and efficient. Some of the pieces were logs over 16 inches diameter and I would split them once and then roll over and split the other way to make the first split. It worked great, don't limit yourself by the description of only being able to split smaller stuff! Tractor has plenty of power and being able to split both ways definitely is a great benefit to make the job faster. I would recommend that the top bracket be reinforced a little more as mine is a little bent from the torque on the big pieces. I straightened it out, but does make me concerned for the long term. Definitely recommend this as a great addition to any home wood burning/cutting people.

(More customer reviews)I'm very happy with this wheeled trimmer. It cuts weeds and light brush far faster than my handheld weed eater. I have a 1 acre homesite and can use this machine on the flat areas.
It starts easily, and the strings are extremely easy to change.
It is not suitable if weeds are longer than knee high. For one thing, the motor is right down low with the weeds, unlike with the handheld string trimmer.
It is heavy enough that if you have somewhat rough ground, you will get a good hamstring workout - it is not self-propelled. If you do have rough ground, especially if somewhat sloped, then you may possibly want a unit that is self-propelled, although these are much more expensive.
