After seeing it, I decided the wood is too beautiful to use a pizza cutter on, I don't want to scratch it. It will be great for serving cheeses when I entertain, and I still may use it for serving those pizzas - I'll just have to slice them on something else first.

(More customer reviews)I have owned and used several different mixers, including the expensive one which I gave away because I didn't like it at all. Another Famous Brand I owned was so lightweight, it would move around on the counter while in use and would not turn the bowl, therefore, I had to stand there and continously scrape the bowl.
I am only giving the West Bend 41135 four stars because it is not perfect but it does come close! The bowl turns, there is room to add ingredients without stopping the motor, and raising the beaters, it is heavy enough to stay in place, it can be used as a hand mixer, and it has all the speeds anyone could want or need. If the mfg. had just color coded the beaters and the holes they belong in, they could be inserted quickly and easily. But that is no big deal--only a minor thing. I have color coded them myself so now, it is my dream machine! I am a proud and happy owner of this West Bend mixer.

We saw this knife set at the local hardware store, and thought we would give it a try having had good luck with Kitchen Aid products in the past. One of the knives broke within two months. We called Kitchen Aid customer service, as the product came with a "lifetime guarantee". They referred us to another company, Meyer Corporation (first indication I was in trouble), as the manufacturer. We sent the knife in to Meyer, and they returned it claiming that they were not the manufacturer.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this beautiful toaster/convection oven to use as a second oven for entertaining/holidays and for everyday use to cook for just the two of us.
First of all, it's darned beautiful to look at. It matches my stainless appliances and looks fabulous on my counter. The controls are very easy to use. It comes with 2 racks (although you're only supposed to use one at a time) and a baking pan/broiler tray. But the best thing is that it comes with a baking stone which sits in one of the racks and the oven itself is lined with baking stone material on either side. The back of the oven has the convection fan. All non-stone surfaces are of nonstick material, which makes it a cinch to clean.
In the month I've had it, I've used this amazing appliance to bake cakes and casseroles, broil shrimp, make pizza, roast tomatoes and chickens and even toast an english muffin! It passed every test with flying colors. The oven is large enough to fit a whole chicken for roasting - and did a great job.
I'd say the weak points are that you have to turn the oven around to get the crumb tray out (a minor inconvenience) and both the crumb tray and the baking pan tend to warp when the oven is hot.
To use the baking stone, you must preheat the oven for at least 30 minutes. Not a problem for me, as I preheated while waiting for my pizza dough to rise. Worked out great.
I'm delighted to give this my highest recommendation.

HOWEVER, the manual was excessively optimistic in its claims that this mixer can knead two loaves of wheat bread dough! Be aware that the gears are all NYLON, and the motor is plenty strong enough to strip the gears when it lugs down on stiff wheat dough. I have done so THREE TIMES now. Kitchenaid is now marketing a 6-quart "professional" model with all steel gears and a circuit breaker ... I was concerned that Amazon was pretty much the only retailer selling this item and that it had been discontinued by Nambe. I thought that the price seemed a bit high but I wanted a complete passover set so I bit the bullet and bought it just in case it would disappear from Amazon in the near future. Today I received the item, and I now understand why it is a discontinued item. The tray itself is too small to hold a standard piece of matzah. The interior flat part of the tray is smaller than the matzah so it must rest on the raised edges, which is kind of awkward. I even measured, using the measurements listed in the item description, before it came just to be sure but alas the measurements were wrong. It can still serve its purpose once a year but I am quite disappointed in Nambe for not offering a substitute product to go with the seder plate.

I should have taken the recipe she cooked as a warning and returned them immediately, but I thought "maybe we overfilled them". The bread cooked ok, although the cooking time was much longer than expected, after letting the bread cool we ran into problem #2 the steel pan top has a square opening, when you fill the silicone pan the sides bulge and when the bread cooks it won't fit back through the square without either forcing it or trimming it with a knife which is very annoying and ruins the look of the loaf. The second time we cooked with them we ran into problem #3 this time the sides collapsed in the middle of baking and we ended up with a very messy oven and no bread. :( at this point I threw the pans away. I can not believe a product such as this even made it to market, it was pitiful.

I have a much larger, heavy tabletop bamboo board for the really big stuff like whole chickens, etc. So these are really handy for cutting and transporting, and display/serving.
It was awaiting availability from the manufacturer when I ordered it. I was willing to wait. But after a couple of weeks, with no estimated arrival date, I emailed Amazon. They were no help, just brushed me off with "we have no info from the manufacturer". Well, can't you call them? I ended up contacting the manufacturer Mango myself, who initially did not answer. My 2nd email said "please respond", which they did, with a date for availability. I forwarded that email to amazon, who again ignored it. I emailed amazon again, then finally got a "oh, you ordered it through US. I guess we'll be getting it soon..." Obviously the employee does not read emails fully.

Wonder bread, artisan bread, toaster waffles, muffin-- all perfect. Barely toasted for the kids, nice and dark for dad. Outside stays cool no matter how much toast you make. One caveat: One of the slots looks like it's broken, but it's not-- that's for smaller or irregular pieces. Comes many colors, but red is beautiful. Yes, I would buy this again-- but I'm not gonna need to.
