What is a Virtual Assistant?A Virtual Assistant (VA) is a highly
trained independent entrepreneur who provides office support
services from a remote location to help business owners and other
entrepreneurs meet growing needs. How Does a VA Help to Keep Cost
Low While They Expand To Meet Growing Needs?VA’s work as
independent contractors rather than employees, clients are not
responsible for any employee-related taxes, insurance or
benefits. Also, clients do not have to worry about providing
extra office space, office equipment or supplies as VA’s typically
work from home and will have their own computers, fax machines,
phones and office supplies to work with. Virtual
Assistants may provide a range of different services to clients or
they may specialize in only a few services. For
instance, a VA with a background within the administrative field
will most likely offer administrative type services, answering
calls, data entry, creating email campaigns, etc. However, a
VA with a more diverse background might offer marketing services,
internet services, IT support and more. Many Virtual Assistants
work long non-traditional hours that may include weekends and
holidays. Clients will never have to worry about paying time
and a half as an incentive to work. When a client chooses to
work with a VA, they are allowing their work load to be freed up so
that the focus can now be turned to more important things such as:
-Networking and growing the business -Completing other tasks or
projects that he/she may be more passionate about-Spend more
personal time alone or with family and friendsPartnering with a
Virtual Assistant can help to reduce stress, increases cash flow
and will help to eliminate administrative hassles while enabling a
business to achieve real world success. How to Hire a Virtual
Assistant: 1. When you post a job, be specific with your
requirements. 2. When applicants apply, take time to study the
application letters AND their CV’s. Narrow down the number of
applicants by separating those with relevant experiences from your
job opening.3. Do not solely rely on their application letters,
interview them. If you are planning to purchase their services
long-term, establishing a voice-chat interview or a video interview
via skype may also be worthwhile. 4. Ask for references. 5.
Visit different forums online and ask for recommendations for VA's.
Many will be willing to give out information on how they connected
with their VA. Tika and Sophia are kindly offering all Money
Mastery Magazine subscribers something very special for the month
of February. Subscribers check your email for more details. If you

As business owners, the number of hours in the day we have to
make success happen are precious few. It is so easy to become
caught up in the day to day activities necessary for the survival
of our business.
How valuable is your time?
Can you afford to be your own
secretary, finance department and advertising team?
Can you afford to continue pulling
all nighters to get the job done?
The way we entrepreneurs make money is by making more sales and
cultivating the clients we already have with great delivery and
customer service. The more time we spend on the business
activities that do not directly yield income the less money we
will make. Put very simply, when you are performing every task
necessary to keep your business running, you are working in your
business.
There comes a point in time however, when the amount of
maintenance your business needs is too much for you to handle
alone. This is when you need to switch up your game plan and
begin working on your business. In this stage, you begin to
enlist the help of a support staff. Two of the first areas that
entrepreneurs usually get help in are handling the money
and handling the day to day operation of their businesses.
Bookkeeping and Virtual Assisting
are two really great ways to lighten your load while remaining in
complete control.
Once you staff these areas, you can begin to focus your attention
on tasks that can bring more dollars in the door. Activities like
improving your sales process, refining your product or service
offering and finding new customers is where your focus needs to
be once you've graduated from the beginning stages of
entrepreneurship.
I know you have some questions...
I am familiar with bookkeeping but
what is a Virtual Assistant? How do I hire them? What exactly do
they do? How can they help?
These are all good questions that I could research and answer for
you .... or I could get Tika Jefferson, President of Virtual-Biz
to answer all your questions for you!. She is one half of a
dynamic duo that specialized in making the lives of entrepreneurs
easy. Sophia Sealy is CEO and Founder of Virtual-Biz and also
plays a big part in the quality services the company provides.
Tika has taken the time to educate Money Mastery Magazine
Subscribers on what every small business owenr should know before
they hire a Virtual Assistant.
