Written by Bill Ford - a scientist, researcher, inventor and energy
consultant - Home Made Energy is a great guide for people with
limited technical knowledge. The instructions are easy to follow,
and the only place where it falls short of it's rival,

A lot has been said about our wind generators' power over the past
few years. Initially thought of as the answer to the worlds energy
crisis, we soon realized how many turbines, and the vast amount of
space that would actually be needed to power the world.

Harnessing the power of water has been used for centuries for many
useful purposes. Initially it was used for irrigation and operating
various machines, such as windmills and dock cranes. But these days
it has a more important use: as a renewable source of electricity.
So what is hydro power?

Early on man realized that fossil fuels would soon run out, and so
nuclear power was born. It was glorified as the cleaner alternative
to oil and coal power stations, promising lower emissions and
environmental safety. But has it really lived up to our
expectations? And is it the ideal energy solution for the future?
We think not.

As people have started looking towards alternative energy sources,
bio-fuels have often come up as a solution. So what exactly are
bio-fuels? How do they differ from fossil fuels? How are they
produced? And are they a sustainable solution to the world's energy
crisis?

An increasing number of people have started to realize that they
can enjoy today's luxuries and the independence of off power grid
living at the same time. Off power grid living basically means that
you are disconnected from the grid. Not only is living off the

With our current economic melt down and energy prices fluctuating
daily, many of us are thinking of installing solar panel power to
contribute to our homes' energy needs, and reduce our power bills.
But how much solar panel watt power do we need to say halve our
power bills? And how much will that power cost us to install?

As the world reaches its energy crisis we need to reduce our
dependence on non-renewable energy sources, and start generating
renewable energy on a massive scale. To date there are four main
types of renewable energy that we can produce: wind power, solar
power, hydro power, and geothermic power.
