What Is P90X All About?

The P90X is a workout and it is an extreme 90 day fitness program developed by workout guru Tony Horton and Beachbody. This intense home exercise program combines cardio workouts, weight and resistance training, yoga, plyometrics, and stretching routines to improve coordination, flexibility, and strength.

Having said that, no workout program would be complete without a healthy and effective nutrition plan, and you know what?… this system includes them too. I have probably done what everyone else has and picked up resistance bands from Walmart or Target. The bands from Walmart or Target are very thin and break very easily. The P90X bands are very thick and create the best resistance out there. The handles are interchangeable and very comfortable to use. I would recommend this product to anyone.

P90X plus is an excellent supplement to P90X to aid muscle confusion and develop overall fitness. My experience is that it focuses more on core and overall fitness and less on muscle building, promoting a lean muscularity. There are many high rep exercises that continue for a period of time, which translates into a lot of reps (i.e., far more than the 8-10 reps that optimally build muscle mass). I have achieved good results doing a full 90 day P90X cycle to bulk up, then doing a month of P90X plus to cut and lean out. I think that this combination keeps me from getting too bulky while building total body strength, fitness and “gristle.”

My husband and I drank this after our P90X workouts and we are currently drinking it after our Insanity workouts. We absolutely LOVE the taste and it is true that you begin to look forward to it after you finish exercising. After reading so many conflicting reviews on this product, I’ve decided to set the record straight. This product has taken an unfair beating mainly due to ignorant people writing reviews for the wrong product.

1) This product is the genuine Beachbody P90X pull-up bar. As the product description says, it is sold by Beachbody (producers of P90X) and fulfilled by Amazon. Other pull-up bars look just like this one and may be marketed as “ideal for P90X,” but they have nothing to do with Beachbody. Those are generic brands that cost about half the price of this product. Many reviewers bought the generic bar, experienced problems with them (bad fasteners, foam that ripped, wobbly parts, etc), but then posted their review under this official Beachbody product. I received this product yesterday, assembled it, and saw no problems with it whatsoever. Details follow.

Each of the 12 highly diverse and intense DVD workouts focuses on either a specific set of muscle groups or a unique training technique.

  • Workout One: Chest & Back. This superset chest-and-back-blasting workout emphasizes two classic upper-body exercises–push-ups and pull-ups–to build strength and develop shape. The combination of these two push and pull movements will help you burn loads of calories while simultaneously attacking, strengthening, and developing multiple muscle groups.

There’s so many positive things to say about this product it’s hard to know where to begin. I’ll try to avoid covering too much familiar ground of the other reviews. So let’s start by saying this: It absolutely works. What’s great about this program is that it addresses ALL your fitness needs. Whereas most workout videos/programs tend to focus on either strength training or cardio or flexibility or target specific areas, P90X does it all.
