Negatives:
This kettle neglects the law of communicating vessels: the outlet of the spout is high above the top of the kettle.
If you fill the kettle full and tilt it to pour water into your glass, water flows over the top of the kettle not through the spout.
Paula Dean recognized this flaw, and on the outside of the kettle, there is a short line with a notice "MAX FILL". This mark is on the outside and is invisible inside, so you may easily overfill. To be on the safe side you have to measure exactly 2QT of water or less.
Two quarts fill about half of the kettle.
If you are an optimist you can say that your kettle is now half full; if you are a pessimist you would say it is half empty.
Another draw back: Handle does not rotate out of the way for filling; it stays upright obscuring the opening.
Functionality is a prerequisite to elegance.

I am using this to store Avocados on the counter until they ripen for now but I can see using it to wash a small amount of strawberries or blueberries. Overall, I am pleased with the material and color, mostly.

(More customer reviews)Not only does this ship lightening fast, but it bakes one adorable giant cupcake. I will share with you some of the things I wish were in the description and/or the directions. One, it makes a cupcake approximately 5" across and 7" high, or to put that into perspective, the finished cupcake cake shown in the picture is actually on a saucer, not a plate. Two, you need to be sure and grease and flour the pans very well as, if it sticks, it is more difficult to get out than the average cake (at least the cupcake top is) due to the details in the pan. Three, although it includes a recipe for a vanilla cake, I chose to use a box yellow cake mix. I was able to get 3 cupcake cakes out of 2 mixes so 2/3 of a mix will make one cake.

When I got this set I was impressed with the quality as it was heavy SS inside and out. My pressure cooker set had only two settings, one for 15 psi and another for 8.5 psi, not three that this listing said. I also ordered the steam basket and trivet ($20), extra gasket ($12), and a SS top ($20) for either base from Magefesausa.com who told me that their pressure cookers only have the two pressure settings and that description of 3 settings was in error.

(More customer reviews)We have used this pan every weekend for a year. Don't bother making mix from scratch - Hungry Jack's "just add water" pancake mix makes wonderfully light and fluffy Ebelskivers. We add blueberries and raspberries to our Ebelskivers (fresh in season, frozen but thawed in warm water the rest of the year).
Yes, it is nonstick but I find a little butter is necessary to keep the Ebelskivers from sticking if they have fruit in them, plus the butter is essential to taste, in my opinion. I add a small, thin slice of butter to the bottom of each Ebelskiver hole once it's hot (heat over low or medium low heat). Once the butter melts, add batter to each hole to just slightly below the hole's rim (beware, center hole heats quickest, so add butter to that hole last and add batter to that hole first). Now add fruit or jelly to center until batter rises to rim or just above the rim.
Once brown on bottom, use a small silicone heat resistant spatula to flip the Ebelskivers over. While the flip takes a little practice, it is easy to catch on to. Trust me, guests and family will be impressed with these unusual breakfast treats AND will be amazed at the taste! We top our Ebelskivers with real maple or blueberry syrup and a small dollop of whipped cream ("Reddy Wip" make not be haute cuisine, but it sure tastes good!).
NOTE ABOUT CAST IRON: We also own a cast iron Ebelskiver pan, which we hate. No matter how many times I've tried to season and oil the pan, the Ebelskivers stick - which ruins the Ebelskivers. Plus, I have a bad neck which is irritated by trying to use caste iron, which is very heavy and difficult to use for making Ebelskivers. Just be sure to wash the nonstick pan by hand and don't use forks or other metal utensils to turn the Ebelskivers.

(More customer reviews)I have only owned this coffee mill for a couple of weeks, so I can't promise anything beyond what I know now. Before buying the Toastmaster, I owned its 'twin' made by Melitta (except the Melitta had an all black front panel with no silver piece behind the buttons). It lasted for several years, but had a tendency to clog especially with the oilier coffees at the finer grind setting. So far this one has worked fine. It does the job well at a reasonable price for a burr mill. Is is not as large as many of the others so it takes less counter space. It has small suction cups at the bottom which help it grip the counter top and prevent it from scratching the granite. This burr mill is a good value and I recommend giving it a try before you spend much more money on another mill.

(More customer reviews)The frosted glass face of this oven thermometer makes it very easy to read the oven temperature with the oven light turned on without needing to open the oven door, excellent for preventing heat loss that occurs if the door needs to be opened to read the thermometer. It stands in an easy to read position if mounted above the oven rack, and the clips are easy to use. When mounted under the oven rack the thermometer tilts slightly away from view making the temperature a bit difficult to read at that angle, and thus a 4 star rating instead of 5. When comparing this product to others on the market, this is my favorite thermometer in it's price range.

Capresso 503.05 Stainless Steel Cool Grind Coffee Grinder, Stainless Steel Review

(More customer reviews)I really want to like this grinder, but after a couple weeks of use I'm disappointed enough to shop for a replacement. I've been grinding coffee beans for +/- 15 years using less expensive machines, and decided to upgrade to a "better" grinder this time instead of simply replacing my Krups Fast Touch.
Pluses: the round design is comfortable to hold and has small footprint in cabinet, built-in cord storage is an excellent feature, easy to operate, round design is little less messy than the Krups Fast Touch when transferring grounds to canister, a little quieter than other machines due to lower pitch of moter sound, operates cooler than others so no scorching to interfere with taste.
Minuses: coarse grind only, grinds unevenly even after pulsing and shaking to mix contents, max capacity is more like 7 cups of grinds not 15 cups as advertised, blades are less sturdy than Krups Fast Touch.

There aren't many minuses here but function outweighs aesthetics. The blades are seated higher than the Krups Fast Touch which makes the grinder produce only a coarse, auto-drip, grind. I much prefer a fine grind, even for use in a drip maker, for more intense flavor and less bean consumption.
