When it showed up, it had a label that said "not for drinking purpose." It should have said that in the listing. I have checked many of these that were listed as not for drinking. This did not and yet it did list that it was solid brass. I thought brass was good for potable liquids. It is too small to be practical as a steamer. It is also made in China.

(More customer reviews)First time ordering something from Amazon with free shipping that is delivered not by UPS/FedEx/USPS. The 200 pound item was freighted to our door step by CEVA .. excellent service.
Although the item is advertised as "made in the USA" .. it is a bit misleading. The frame is made in China but the futon mattress and pillows are made in the USA.
All of the frame parts were milled properly and assembled together without a hitch. A second person during assembly would have been helpful. The mattress is comfortable (at least in sitting mode until guests arrive).
The frame is held together with barrel bolts and wood dowels. Hope that is strong enough. Mortar & tenon joints would have been preferred .. but, alas, we live in a mass produced society. Also, wood plugs for the holes holding the barrel bolts would be nice.
Overall, good product (or, until the first guest sleeper complains).

(More customer reviews)The fan has been installed in the vaulted ceiling of a 15' by 15' room for 12 months. I bought the fan for its nice size, beautiful styling and Hunter's reputation for quality. Installation in an 18" downrod was straightforward, as Hunter advertises.
I've been disappointed with this product in several respects.
Within 2 weeks the fan chain started breaking due to the pressure of it having to make a 135 degree turn coming out of the light fixture housing before angling back to the hole in the light shade. The extreme vertical pull that you must make on the chain to control the fan speed has broken the chain repeatedly. I replaced the the chain and connectors with stronger chain and connectors but that only bought me a little time. The breaking continued. When the stub of chain coming out of the housing was quite short, I finally put the fan in the off position and stopped trying to use the fan all together. When I called the Hunter customer service number, the agents I talked to on a few occasions about this problem would ony advise me to uninstall the fan and mail it to their service center. They would look at it there and determine whether to replace it. It was apparent to me I was being given a carefully orchestrated response to a known design flaw. An electrician neighbor looked at it and saw no way to modify the pull chain "design" to get around the design problem. He suggested installing a fan/light remote or getting a new (and different) fan.
The light unit uses small candelabra bulbs under a frosted glass "bowl." With an oversized fan and the likelihood that customers would be using it in bigger rooms, I would have expected Hunter to enable better light output. At best, you get what I would call "umber light"... like you have during a nearly full eclipse. Though we have other light in the room, we often use the fan light alone when we are watching TV and "umber light" is adequate.
Then, about two weeks ago, the light unit, when turned on, began pulsating on and off in an absolutely regular rhythm about every second. The electrician neighbor has looked at it briefly and has scheduled a time to come take the unit down and see if he can see what's happening. He owns a business and has been in business for 30 years and says he has not seen this exact failure before.
I am online now, shopping for a replacement fan/light product. I am very disappointed with Hunter and will not forget the poor quality of this product and their failure to acknowledge the problem when I called them.

(More customer reviews)I buy one of these Kat Kabins every year and put it out for a collection of feral cats. Other people put out outdoor cat shelters, too, and this is by far the best one. The cats really like it and it doesn't leak like the Igloos. (Look at the seam along the bottom of one of those Igloos--water comes in there.) Also, the cats like to climb on top of it to see things from their perch and it has a rubberized-type covering so cats and their claws can get a good, comfy grip. Also, there is a hole in one of the legs where you can string through a bike chain and secure it to a nearby pole or something so someone can't steal it.

The reason is, once you've got one side all good and seasoned, when you flip it to use the other side, that seasoning you worked hard to get will warp and you have to start over; Also, whatever you cook on the other side will taste like stove burner because that's where it's been all this time!

I bought their 6 quart pot and measured with water; It was less than 5 quarts.
If you want a good quality 7 quart pot, get Lodge, which is a lot cheaper. Because that's the size you will also get if you buy this pot. Not 8 quarts.
