It comes with a lancet device included (Accu-Chek Softclix Lancet Device) and 10 lancets but no strips; therefore, in order to use it even once, you must buy the strips. I bought the Accu-Chek Active Blood Glucose Test Strips and they work. Given that 10 lancets last only ten times, you are better off buying lancets right away. Careful! You must buy the Accu-Chek Softclix Lancets (the Accu-Check SoftTouch Lancets will NOT work).
Once you have all your equipment, you do the following. Every time that you buy a new box of Strip, you must put the microchip in the monitoring kit.
The routine is very easy: load the lancet device; load the strip in the monitoring kit; use the lancet device to make a tiny prick in your finger, put the drop of blood on strip. Five seconds and you get the answer.

Mine came with a tiny 4" tall manual with very small type. I would say the documentation is OK but certainly not great. Very small to read text.
One concern is if you have problems say connecting it to your PC, where you get tech support. I have a feeling many companies that sell it may not be good about supporting it.
I'm unable to tell who is the company who actually makes the PC68B and who writes the software for it. It seems to be a company in Japan, so getting good support is nonexistent.
For example, I don't believe it is possible to get software updates to the software that comes with it.
My PC68B came with a silver CD-ROM that just had a square of white paper on it and typed on it was the name of the software and the version number. Looks like the software is still on it's 1.0 version with no updates/bug fixes.
Mine came with the software and a USB cable. On end is a USB connector for your computer, the other end plugs into the PC68B.
When you don't have the cable hooked to your PC68B, there is a little piece on the PC68b that covers the USB port. But after 3 days my PC68b USB port cover came off. No big deal - I don't expect to get much lint in it.
It does burn through batteries. It runs off 2 AAA batteries. You will want to get rechargable batteries, since if you put in a new pair of batteries, the unit would run for about 3 days (72 hours) before dying.
I was using the PC68B just at night while sleeping. I don't have rechargeable batteries so I have been syncing the unit to the computer, deleting the data, and putting the batteries in the next night.
But taking out the batteries every morning, means that night when I put them back in I have to set the PC68B's month/day/year/time/hour/minute - which is a pain.
I'm using the PC68B with my Mac running Parallels/VMware fusion. Can take a few tries to get the data synced with the computer, but does work.
I would recommend shopping around more doing research, and get another brand of these that has excellent software, has had software updates in the past, and has excellent tech support.

Ordinary domestic licorice you may have eaten in the past is a pale, anise-flavored ersatz shadow compared to this. If you remember how licorice tasted years and years ago, this is it. Kookaburra actually HAS licorice root in it; American licorice uses cheap anise oil and thus has barely any real flavor. Warning; if you tend to high blood pressure, excessive real licorice can be bad for you--causes water retention. Aside from that I can't think of a reason not to enjoy this treat.
My only complain is that the price for 10 oz. is a bit steep. This is one of the best licorice out there, however, and for a real addict of this herbal treat, there is nothing like it.

The Scale seems to be very accurate and is easy to use! The software is downloaded from the LifeSource Website but has one very small drawl back and that is only one user can use the scale and the software, unless you want to delete a profile or add another scale. I found this to be a major disappointment as I wanted to track multiple peoples weight. If you are only tracking one persons weight it is a great tool with the informational software that is included. I would give 5 stars if Software allowed to track at least two different people.

(More customer reviews)After going through two ~$50 digital scales that gave wildly different readings from one weighing to the next, we got fed up and decided to try the LifeSource. I'm very glad we did. This scale is both consistent and accurate. Consistent in that you can step on it ten times and you'll get the same reading every time. Accurate in that we compared our weight on it to the calibrated scale at our pediatrician and got exactly the same weight.

Knowing weight down to the tenth of a pound is nice, if a bit overkill for most people's needs. However, there is one area where this is really useful (and we've used it a lot for this purpose): if you are new parents and want to track the weight of your infant, this scale allows you to do that easily. We've been tracking our son's weight from birth to almost six months (next Wed) this way.
The trick to using this feature is to tap the "on" switch, and step on the scale before it registers a weight. Then one parent stands on the scale and is handed the infant. The scale will only measure the infant's weight; the parent's weight will be taken as part of the baseline. Once you try it it's an extremely simple method, and every time we've done it and then had a follow up exam at the pediatrician, the results have been spot on as mentioned before. Keep in mind that this scale is a whole lot cheaper than a dedicated infant scale, and more versatile. The only real downside is that a very squirmy kid (as ours is nowadays) will take a little longer to get an accurate reading than a calm one, but nothing is perfect.
It's a lot to spend for a scale, but, assuming it lasts a while (it seems well built and I expect it not to die any time soon), it's worth having something that just works as you expect it to. New parents: this is one purchase you might not get at a baby shower, but is well worth it for piece of mind. Plus, it looks pretty slick ;)

The manufacturer's recommendation is to change the cartridge monthly. I followed this recommendation initially, finding that the filter became quite discolored with trapped beard cuttings by the end of one month. However, since the shaver is a wet/dry shaver, I found that washing the shaver head and the cutting blades after each use and before inserting the shaver into the "base station" allows me to extend the life of each cartridge to at least two months, making the economics much more favorable. I'm not sure how much extra benefit the auto-clean function of the base station provides, compared with just washing the shaver head and cutting blades under the tap, but I suppose the detergent in the cartridge contributes to a cleaner result.

(More customer reviews)I've tried several pedometers over the years, but this one is definitely the best. Other pedometers have fallen off my waistband, not counted steps if they were a little bit sideways, counted far too many steps, and just plain not worked after only a short time.
I bought this Omron in December and it is now the end of January. It has a high quality case that feels solid, unlike others that feel so fragile that normal handling has made them fall apart. It counts accurately, I don't have to worry about keeping it in exactly the right position because it counts steps correctly as long as it is vertical. That means it can be any which way in a pocket or bag as long as it isn't laying flat like it would on a table.
The 7 day memory is nice too if you want to track your steps per day over time. You can look back and see your step total. It also calculates distance and calories and something called aerobic steps. The aerobic steps is just a smaller number than the total steps. The little safety clip has prevented it from falling to the ground on several occasions. I use it almost every day. I walk more with it than without it because I like to see my step number going up. I've only gotten 10,000 steps a few times, but my average continues to climb.
You can buy this pedometer with confidence and start adding up the steps! Have fun!
