3g iphone???

I do not have a lot of knowledge about cellphones, but I know a little so please don’t make fun of this question.

I have a iphone right now and i hear 3G will come with iphones soon. does that mean ill need to get a new iphone if i wanted 3g or could i just get 3g through an update?

I am getting ready to buy a new laptop but I am unsure of what to get. I really like the new Macbook Air, but I don’t know if it is really worth the price. I really like the fact that it’s only 3lbs. considering I am a college student and will be lugging it around with me to class. The other options I was looking at were the regular macbooks, macbook pro, or a sony vaio CR series. So basically what I need to know is, is if the price of the Macbook Air really justifies it’s thin lightweight build? Any opinions?

I am a college student and am thinking about buying an iPad recently. However, I am not sure if it is a good idea. I already have a laptop (that works..technically) and can definitely survive without an iPad. But I like it a lot and think that it may be easier to carry around (I move around quite a bit) and store/retrieve information from. (Plus, it will help save the environment if I use it instead of paper (joking)).
Another issue is that I am guessing that the apps will probably cost more than the device itself if I want it to efficiently replace my laptop (with the need to write essays, time management, etc.).
I would truly appreciate your feedback (especially if you had bought the device,etc) and thank you for your time.

Does a refurbished macbook work like a new one?

I want to buy a macbook pro 15″ that is REFURBISHED. I don’t really see the big difference between a 2100dollarsignr new one and a refurbished 1200dollarsignr one. Is there something about refurbished laptops that make them bad? Or are they like a new laptop. Again it is a macbook pro 15″ from Apple.

If a zune is hooked up to a macbook fresh out of the box, can it be hooked up to a pc afterwards?

Why do Apple computers have so few spyware and virus problems?

I have been using both PCs and Macs for many years now, and have always made sure to run both spyware and virus protection programs on the PCs I use running XP.
On my macs, I have never thought about this and I have never had any kind of problems related to either of these.
I’m not trying to start a debate here, but this just seems to be how it is. Why are Apple computers not plagued by this? Is Vista helping the problem?

I just updated my iphone 3gs to 4.2 and now it won’t seem to work with my SIM card ?

Well I bought an “Unlocked” iphone3gs on ebay last week running ios 4.1 and I received it today already unlocked and all good to go with Cydia already installed. Me being a stupid idiot, decided to update my phone to ios 4.2 thinking that my phone would still stay unlocked. However now that doesn’t seem to be the case. My iphone was originally locked in to the Bell Network and now when I put my Koodo SIM card in it won’t work. Itunes will give me an message saying that this SIM card is not compatible.

My question is would I be able to go to a Koodo shop and have them unlock it ? I heard that UltraSn0w is coming out soon with an unlock for iOS 4.2.1. rumor has it that it will either be released tomorrow or on Sunday.

Now I know that updating my iphone to the lastest version is a big NO NO not until the hacking community comes out with their own fixes.

This is all new to me so making mistakes is understandable right ?

Question about iPhone 4 and where I stand?

Ok, so I was one of many who bought the iPhone 4 pretty soon after release date, and as you may be aware this model had a few problems with it to say the least!

I have my free bumper now which is Ok but is only really masking the problem. I’ve also downloaded the update which supposedly corrected the incorrect number of reception bars displaying.

But having the bumper on has made my existing cases and car charger redundant – as now the phone doesn’t fit!

I read an article saying that there are rumours of an Apple iPhone 4 with “fixed” antenna problems being released in September.

My question is if Apple have openly declared that this model had a design fault – what will happen to me (and everyone else) who has bought the faulty version?? Will they fix the old ones or offer an upgrade? Or will I be stuck with this one for the next 2 years??
