How To Use A System To Build Your Network Marketing Business

What is it that makes a network marketing business so successful and creates its duplication?

Which one of the following?

1. An easy to follow system being followed by many people?

2. A self tailored and customized system that captures leads for you every time?

Consider those people who fall under other successful entrepreneurs in a network marketing business.

Are they all using the same system but getting varying results?

Why is it that one person may use a specific system and be very successful in his business while another uses the exact same system but gets depressing outcomes?

Why does this happen and what is missing that makes the difference between success and little or no results?

What do successful people DO that others DO NOT?

Here is an instance of a popular network marketing system;

1) They write down their contact list,

2) They follow up on the list via phone calls

3) They get people to join their business.

This is a classic system that has made cash for a number of years and still does for many network marketers.

But, be aware that there are other people who have reported failure using this system!

A good example of such folk is me and my hubby, and that’s why we developed our own system to build our online business.

So… how do you find an online system that works for you?

Many people have come up with systems for their online marketing businesses some of which I would never dare try out despite the fact that most of them give you promises of absolutely unbelievable results.

Business leaders develop systems that have worked for them and pass them on to others to use using affiliate programs. There are lots of these kinds of systems out there.

If you are wondering how an affiliate program works, it is a program where the system’s owner has affiliates who get commissions for every person they refer the system to.

If you buy one of these systems, it can be used to generate leads.

This system has a few shortcomings that you may encounter when you generate leads using someone else’s system..

These shortfalls can better be understood by making an illustration and we will use “Superman” as the leader who generated the specific system.

Let’s say the developer of a certain system, Superman establishes an affiliate program. You become an affiliate of his and generate a lead using his system. Now, Superman is very charismatic, has great copywriting and marketing skills. He’s had a lot of practise and your lead will most likely be attracted to him or her.

Now your lead is not only attracted to Superman and whatever he is offering but has also forgotten all about you and what made him your lead in the first place. You just paid for the advertising that brought him or her to this system.

You could try your best to save the situation and make follow ups with this lead but it may all be in vain as the leads attention has shifted from you to Superman so brace yourself, you paid an advertisement that got your lead to Superman.

All you may get for this is a commission from Superman for the lead you brought him, but this won’t do anything to build your business. How do you build your own business from these leads?

How do you get your lead to pay attention to what you’re doing?

Create your own system that has your own email follow-ups so that your leads do not get distracted from you. However, even if you’re experienced and especially if you are brand new to Internet Marketing, your system will probably not work as well as those that have been developed for awhile.

There are systems that are simplified into step by step procedures to guide even the most green person in network marketing. I know 2 systems that can get a new person upto speed in a short time, and they provide ongoing training for everyone using that system, and you can even share some of the training with your prospects.

So are you thinking like I am thinking? Yes why not, customise an already existing system for yourself.

If you are a starter:

-Use the email campaign on the system if you can’t think up your own. BUT (this is VERY important), re-write it in YOUR voice.

When your prospects have already interacted with you either in Facebook or reading your blogs or through phone calls they can identify your voice. And, if your follow-up messages are written by someone else, it will seem weird and they won’t get to know, like and trust YOU from those messages.

-As you gain more confidence, you can go ahead and add videos of yourself to your website.

More often it is the case that a generic of the system’s videos give more conversion rates and so you may want to stick to those for a while.

-  Find a system that doesn’t automatically email your leads on your behalf it is important to have personalised emails sent to your leads to help you build a rapport with them.

You’ve already tried a few other Network Marketing Company for the past year however you could not work out how to advertise them successfully.

The second advert you click on…

Eventually you return to Google and go no searching. You see another advert about some training in a marketing system, and click on that one.

You will find some introduction on the web page usually at the top telling you that you can get some free training that will give you step by step ways on how to market on the internet.

You will find a video on the page of a person telling you how they will send you free training seven days a week. Showing you what you need to market a network marketing business online.

On the right of that video, you will see a form requesting you to put in your name and details. It says that once you fill out your details, they will send you the free marketing training.

“This is fabulous, now I can find out what I need to do prior to actually joining a company and purchasing products, you think to yourself. You sign up for the information and now you’re happy to have someone showing you what to do!

There’s still enough time to find a company and products caters for you.  And at least when you find them, you’ll have more idea of how to do the marketing. If you were looking for a new Network marketing business, which kind of websites would you prefer to find?

Number 1 or Number 2?

“Lead capture page” is the web page that is in the second advertisement. It’s used by internet marketers to gather names and information of people who are interested in what they have to offer.

Growing the list of people who are interested in what they have to present is the most important thing an internet marketer can do. Instead of advertising your company website, you should advertise a “lead capture page” where you offer something of value to people when they sign up.

Even after you upload your articles onto these social marketing sites, remember that you will have to create your own piece or pieces of real estate, why is this important, you might ask.

For creating content on your own blog there are many reasons. The rate of home based business online being established has exploded in the last fourteen years from 6 million to over 32 million – and that number keeps growing every day. Look for someone in the industry who can coach and train you. This might be your friend, a contact you got from a party of baseball game you have been to recently, or even a business you’ve stumbled on the web with a model that matches what you see yours growing into.

You’d be surprised at how many professionals will be willing to mentor you when you express your drive to be successful. It is something quite amazing. Give it a try!

Rule #2: Be realistic

As your business takes off, it is crucial to that what you expect from it remains pragmatic. I mean really, if it’s your first business, that itself is a very steep learning curve, so be prepared to take many months (or even years) to make a decent amount of money. But once you do, trust me, you will be very happy with the results.

It’s up to you how much money you make. That is the joy of home business! You want more money? Just work harder! There’s no glass ceiling, no head honcho to promote you. It’s all up to your own self-discipline and passion for the business.

Rule #3: It’s about people

As I’ve mentioned before, it is absolutely necessary that you be prepared to speak to and connect with people. Be prepared to pick up the phone and call someone you have never spoken to before. . I have been there before and trust me; this is not one of the best parts of running your own businesses. In fact, the very thought of making those calls gives me some odd mix between stage fright and car sickness, but it gets better with time. It especially gets better when you get paid. You may even grow to love it.

However if the notion of speaking and networking with people will stop you from following your quest to home business ownership, there are some approaches that will ensure the process runs effortlessly and will not bring much apprehension. I would recommend:

Work with a template. I write a little clip about myself and my business on a note card and keep it with me at all times, so if I’m in the middle of something and receive a business call, I can jump right into my monologue and get crackin’. It works wonders! My name, my business, what I do, and a little note on how I can help that person (if I know why they are calling). Magical.

Rule #4: Spend some money initially

Yep, back to #1. You have to spend money to earn money. Business is not free. There are certain things people look for to establish you are a legitimate business. For starters a website is a must have investment and depending on the kind of business you are in, you might have to buy training programs or classes more so if the business needs some form of certification. Personally, my biggest investment is in motivational material. For me, motivational material is my most significant investment. It keeps me focused, motivated, organized and determined. It’s the cheapest, most effective way to keep your focus fixed to achieving your financial goals.

With all this in mind, it may not even need to be said: You have to really want this. You have to really love being your own boss. You have to really need to make your own schedule. You have to be ready to stick it out with your business of choice for a minimum of six months to a year prior to getting results. You must have a huge desire to change your circumstances to make a home-based business work.

You’re putting in time, money, creative effort, comfort zone, and so on. But if you can make it work, if you have the drive and the zeal to make it work, running a home business is definitely one of the most fulfilling jobs you can have.

MLM Business and Video Marketing

For your MLM business (or any other type of business), video marketing is a very effective strategy. If you want to reach your audience, videos are the way to go. They make a strong impact that lasts for a long time.

Making the right choice for marketing is very critical as I mentioned in my previous post. So, if video is not your choice right away, then choose something else and come back to video later.

Have your Marketing Funnel set up first

Before selecting any marketing strategy, it’s best to set up your marketing funnel. Make sure whichever option you go for, that it highlights your “Squeeze Page” otherwise also known as your “Opt In” page, so you can generate leads from your Video Marketing.

Some of The Advantages of Video Marketing are:

1. You can shoot underwater while scuba diving or make a video while on the shores of an ocean or in your car or the garden, in your pool, the backyard, when you are skiing or travelling or even during your holiday.

2. The audience to know you in a video, so you will begin to build your brand.

3. You can reach more people with a video than you can by speaking one on one with people. It is similar to being in a seminar or at a conference, but you don’t have to be afraid because no-one is looking at you while you’re filming.

4. Creating videos is totally free if you have a camera and also nothing to post online if you are already connected to the internet, it is absolutely free.

5. Since people transfer them around to others, videos can become viral.

6. Taking videos and posting them online is not a technical thing to do.

7. You can show to an individual or millions of people, how to perform a task on the computer. Just take a video of yourself performing that task. Use some free software called Jing to capture 5 minute videos or use Camtasia for longer videos.

8. Your videos can attract a lot of visitors to your website. These can create many leads for your business.

Short videos or Long ones?

Because people are busy and can’t always watch a long video, you can do really short 1-2 minute videos that provide people with information to help them solve a problem. In these clips you may choose to feature relationship marketing for instance or maybe go into the effectiveness of online marketing. Always put your Squeeze Page URL and a call to action, underneath your video.

It is best if you are in front of the camera. However if you are unable to bring yourself to do it the first time, there are other alternatives to make videos.

Here are six different ways you can create your own videos:

- Create slides using something like Microsoft PowerPoint or the equivalent on a Macintosh, and add music or your own voice as background. Save the slides as images then import them into a movie maker software. PCs and Macintoshes come with free movie maker programs that will help you develop movies that you can upload onto the internet. Slides come in handy and make great clips, especially for those of you who are camera shy.

- There are software programs that you can use to have your face showing up on a corner of the screen as is common with educational videos. Add some background music to the photos or add your own voice and you have another video.

- There are Software programs that permit you to capture your actions on the computer to make educational video. You can choose to show your face in a small corner of the screen or not to show your face at all.

- Go down the beach with a friend and just say hello and talk about the beautiful views and the waves. It is a great way to begin on those ‘showing your face’ videos. This is similar to the first video my hubby and I did below.

- If you are a scuba diver, or a keen sportsperson, get someone to video tape you. When you get home, you can use that tape to make a movie with your voice in the background passing on your message to your audience.

- Do an interview with an industry leader and ask them questions as you are recording them.

Remember there are limitless ways you can do your videos, just let your creativity take control of you and enjoy it.

Here are a couple of pointers to put in mind before you begin your project:

- Keep all videos less than 10 minutes. Most video broadcast sites accept short videos.

- Create an image to insert into each end of the video. On the image, type the title of your video and your website URL, with a call to action. This way, people can go to your website after watching the video, and you will generate your own leads. For example, this is a picture I use in most of my videos..

- Movie Creation software will permit you to insert a watermark on your videos. The watermark should be your website URL or your phone number in some situations.

- You can submit your video to multiple different video broadcasting sites like You Tube, Google Videos, Viddler, Dailymotion, Photobucket just to mention a few.

Are You Marketing Your MLM to the Right People?

One of the reasons why I believe MLM gets a bad name and is accused of hype – is that MLM or network marketing is promoted to the wrong people about 80% of the time. It’s promoted as a part-time work at home job to people who really just want a steady pay and flexible hours.

1) Network marketing is not a job. It is a business system for entrepreneurs who want to have their businesses at home instead of another location, like an office. The vast majority of networkers still promote MLM as “You can make thousands of dollars in just a few hours a week”! You can do that…just not right away. Depending on your company, your experience, budget, and business system that could take 90 days or 9 months. People who want at-home jobs expect to be paid a set amount of money every week. It’s called a paycheck, not an override.

2) A home business takes heart, energy, perservence and a degree of risk. In a business, you are responsible for your success, no one else. A work at home job takes only time and energy. People wanting at-home jobs are not prepared for the responsibility of a business because it’s not what they want. All the motivational tapes and contests will not matter if they don’t want it in the first place.

3) Why doesn’t your new distributor want to make a prospect list? Probably because a home job doesn’t require him/her to create his/her own work by creating a client base. Entrepreneurs intuitively understand the need for prospecting. Home-based employees do not. They will however, gladly help you take care of YOUR prospects.

4) Is your new distributor who is turned off by talk of goal-boards, dreams, or vision-casting? A job doesn’t require that kind of mental or emotional energy. There is no “big picture” or the “whole story” in a job. If you marketed your opportunity in terms of a job, you will have distributors that won’t come to meetings, listen to conference calls or do any of the training. Why? Because they want a job, not a business!

5) A home-job is defined. Even with “action plans” or “success blueprints” home-businesses are open-ended by nature. You cannot guarantee how many appointments you will set, how many orders you will get that day and so on. You can only guarantee your activity level, not the result of each indvidual action.

If you want distributors, market to entrepreneurs. Do not hide your opportunity under “help wanted” or work-at-home ads. As you are sorting through people, you are looking for entrepreneurs. If you want to increase retention in your network marketing business, market to those people who are the most likely to stay in the first place.
