(More customer reviews)The sticker on the bottom of this thing says "American Designed - and very well made in China". Well, they ain't kidding. This is one hell of a nice piece of equipment.
For starters, the shipping weight is 42 lbs. This thing is built like a truck. They use heavy steel box-sections for the frame, and the bolt flanges are welded all the way around, not just tacked. The bolts are beautifully plated, and they use nylon-collar lock nuts rather than a pile of split washers.
In case you are wondering from looking at the photo, yes, this thing is tall. The bars are at 53" off the floor. For me, its great since I'm 6'3". However, there is also a cross bar at just the right height to use as a step when mounting. They include strips of no-slip tape to put on it, which is great.
Another thing I was trying to figure out from the photo was how wide the grips are spaced. If your wondering, they have a center-to-center spacing of 21" at the front, and taper outward to 23.5" at the widest possible grip position. The bars themselves are nice and fat at 1.5" in diameter with tough rubber grips. This thing could definitely survive in a gym environment.
The plastic end-caps on the feet are very well made, but are really for carpet. If you have wood floors like me, you will want to put a pad under them. I plan to just buy some adhesive rubber bumpers from the hardware store.
The company apparently does not make a chin up attachment for this unit, which is a shame since the base is definitely stable enough to support one. I plan to bolt extensions on to the vertical members and attach one. I was planning to do this all along, which is the main reason I bought this instead of a lighter model. Call me obsessive, but I really wanted a dip station with full length bars, and all the combo dip/chin stations I saw had only little stub handles for the dip.
Assembly involves tightening just eight bolts. You will need a couple of 3/4" wrenches, or an adjustable wrench and a pair of pliers.
They also include a bottle of touch-up paint. If you're wondering, the paint color is sort of a dull metalic silver-gray.
Overall, these guys clearly take pride in their work. Its very well made with great attention to detail, and even though it's more expensive that some others here, I think its a bargain for the price.

(More customer reviews)I'm 6'5" 270 pounds. So when I looked into stability balls I was really concerned with whether one would support me. So far, so good. I got it yesterday, blew it up in a few minutes, and sat on it (hesitantly at first) for over an hour. Then worked out for about an hour. It seems very durable and able to maintain my weight without a problem. The exercises on this thing are super effective, as I can feel today. The ball is just right as far as size goes.
Someone complained about the pump, but I found it efficient. It's like a huge syringe. It worked fine. It only took me a few minutes to pump the ball up and that was with my one year old hanging on me so he could mess with the ball.
If something happens and this product fails in some way, I will immediately update this review so that anyone who's concerned can know. So if you don't see an update, the TKO's going strong.

I am a 162 lbs male and the Ab Slide Roller helps to give me defined abs, shoulder, chest and arm muscles, with just a few minutes use everyday. You're getting an ab workout, as well as a push-up-type workout when you use this product. There is just one problem I've had consistantly with this piece of equipement, and it is the reason why I'm giving it a 3-1/2 star rating instead of a 4 or 5; it breaks. After just a few short months of use (and by "use" I mean using it in the proper, recomended and instructed way) the internal spring or coiled metal that gives the Ab Slide Roller its resistance, breaks. This has happened with every one of the Ab Slide Rollers I've purchased over the years. (Again, I am using it only in the proper and recomended way.) I've had them last as long as 6 -7 months and as little as 3. But, as I said at the outset, this product does work.

I moved into an apartment with my girlfriend and found myself in the terrible predicament of having to sacrifice my weight bench and various other equipment in exchange for living space. In so doing I needed to find an alternate workout solution. I came across bodylastics on accident. I am a skeptic by nature but read the reviews and decided why not?
Having owned these bands for the better part of a year I have been able to achieve the same results as those of my weight bench. Not only am I satisfied with the quality of the product I am impressed with how challenging these bands really are! After using these bands I found that I was excersizing muscles that I never could with the weight bench! Don't get me wrong the weight bench has it's place. But not for my goals. For my goals these bands, a stability ball and a Iron Gym Extreme workout bar is really all I need to get the results I want. I also mountain bike for cardio. Being a busy person and usually finding it tough to spend much time working out these bands have proven a great fast solution to saving me time. Their construction is superb and truly do make other resistance bands look weak and frail. I will say you should probably use flat shoes or shoes without a lot of tread. This will prolong the life of your bands. There are books out there that provide info on the excersizes and workout schedules on how to use these bands as well. I am going to be trying the P90X workout here soon. Or at least portions of it.

(More customer reviews)I got this accessory with my Door Gym and I like it. But, when they say this is an "efficient" accessory - they mean it. It simply rests on the narrower neutral grip posts of the Door Gym. The Door Gym has multiple grip areas, but two of them are perpendicular to the rest of the bar for narrow neutral grip chin ups. The Broad reach bar is wide with downward grips (like lat pull down bar in a gym).
Anyway, this works fine if you have the faith to try it the first time and prove to yourself it won't roll off because your body weight has it pinned on the posts. It has foam covering that adheres to the foam on the Door Gym posts. It will not roll easily, but it does a little. I think it is safe for adults who understand how to use it. Do not give it to kids younger than about 15 (in my estimation) because some of them are too likely to play with, or misuse, it and get hurt.
Even though this thing works and does what you want a broad bar to let you do, I deducted a point in the rating because I don't think they were up front in explaining exactly what it is and is not.

(More customer reviews)I Ordered this product on Dec 10th from The Sports Nut as a christmas present for my brother in law. When the bag arrived on the 15th the plastic piece holding the shoulder strap on the bag was shattered to pieces. I called the sports nut and explained the problem. He told me they were out of stock, but as soon as they received a new shipment they would send me a replacement.
Four days later I called them back, inquiring about a new shipment as Christmas day was quickly approaching, When i didn't get an answer, I left numerous messages, none of which resulted in a return phone call. When I finally reached a person and asked about the new shipment she said it hadn't come in yet. When I asked if she could call me when it came in she laughed and said she was too busy and I would have to call back myself.
Finally three days before christmas, fed up with the customer disservice, I called the sports nut to ask how I could return the product. They said I couldn't and they told me that it wasn't their fault that the product was borken and I would have to take the issue up with the shipping company.
I usually never write reviews of the products I buy, no matter how poor, but this was the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and I wouldn't want to have anyone suffer the same fate dealing with this sub par vendor

(More customer reviews)I had searched high and low for this particular kind of step with absolutley no luck, despite the fact that step aerobics are not only hugely populer, but this particular step model is the most widely used in gyms, home exercise videos and on Fitness television. It was simply no where to be found at every major (and even minor) store I went to which sells fitness equipment. They all carried the smaller 12x25 inch step, and I needed this larger 14x40 inch step for a wider variety of exercises. These include not only step aerobics, but also chest presses, tricep dips and many other exercises. This in fact serves and as both a step-up and a weight bench, is easy to assemble, and adjusts to three seperate heights (additional height can be added on by purchasing additional raisers but I won't be needing those). This step is strong and sturdy and the surface effectively absorbs the shock of high impact exercises. I am able to stand on the very edge of it for doing calve raises without feeling like it's going to tip over with my body weight.
I was even further impressed that it arrived within slightly less than a week of ordering it - and during the week of Christmas at that. This step is so much fun to use and I am absolutely in love with it!

(More customer reviews)After having used a thick nylon jump rope for years, switching to this much faster PVC rope was a shock. It took me a little while to get used to it, but I did. Now I like this one better than the nylon one. Its action is smooth. I haven't needed to shorten it, so I can't comment on that aspect of it. But watch yourself with it. If it hits you, it hurts! That hasn't diminished my enjoyment of it, though.

(More customer reviews)I wanted one of these for a long time. I just didn't know it. I always loved the Hangup Boots, but never bought them because I didn't want the big inversion table. Then I woke up one morning with a drive to get the boots and just find something (a jungle gym perhaps) to hang from. And then I saw this rack that hangs in your door. It was perfect! It installed easily in my studio doorway. It can be used for pullups or just something to stretch out with everytime I walk in and out of the room. Our daughter is constantly climbing on it and inadvertantly getting great exersise. I did get the inversion boots as well and try to find ten minutes a day to hang upside down. It gets blood to the brain and takes pressure off the spine. You can get a totally different work out being inverted. I highly recommend this to everyone, but especially fellow yogis. Yoga is great for working out back problems and this rack (paired with the Hangup boots) really helps with strengthening and lengthening the back. Cobra pose without a floor!
I am glad I didn't hessitate in getting this. I use it everyday.

(More customer reviews)I've only had this product for several days, but it has been good so far for my P90x/30 day shred workouts. The one thing I found annoying about the product description is that they didn't have the weights that the bands equaled, so I put them here:
Yellow: 2-5 lbs
Green: 5-8 lbs
Red: 8-12 lbs
Blue: 12-16 lbs
Black: 16-20 lbs
These bands are perfect for toning, although if you are into muscle building, I wouldn't recommend this product, and would suggest purchasing dumbbells instead.
Also, customer service was extremely good. I couldn't find the door anchor at first since it was in the package with the green band (which I didn't use because I use the blue/black bands), but customer service replied to me within the hour with a concerned and courteous attitude.

I have always had gym memberships in the past using mostly free weights, but now due to my hectic schedule, driving to a gym is not an option. I have owned a Total Gym in the past. The Total Gym is the one that Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley advertise on TV. Save yourself lots of money, don't buy one of those. The quality of this machine over the Total Gym is unbelievable. You can't compare the two, but I will anyway.
First let's talk price. The Total Gym's price is about $1800.00 the last time I checked. The Total Trainer has a cost of around $500.00. Now let's talk quality. I am a big guy (usually hover around 260 pounds at 6 feet tall) so not only was my weight a concern, but also my height and whether I could get a full range of motion with the exercises. On the Total Gym, my movements on the machine were tricky, due to its lighter construction and its propensity to wobble when I was on it. Additionally, I could not get a full range of motion on several of the movements on the Total Gym. However on the Total Trainer, I have experienced no wobbles at all. This machine is rock solid. On the Total Trainer I am able to perform all of the exercises comfortably. The third thing to compare is the accessories that come with this machine. The Total Trainer includes many more, which would cost additional money for the Total Gym. Finally, exercising on this machine is fun. In fact the first day that I had it, I enjoyed it so much I did 2 complete workouts. I paid for that in aspercreme and Tylenol (don't do that). For a person like me that enjoys power-lifting, but can't get to the gym anymore, this machine is perfect. I can't believe the level of workout that this machine gives me. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is that the machine does not have enough resistance for me on the bench press movements, or the squat movements. The machine also does not allow deadlift style movements to be performed. However, I am stronger than the typical person and if you are like me then you know that this machine will never totally replace a power rack and an Olympic bench (free weights), but still an excellent buy!!!! I really love this machine, and can get a full body workout on it. Thanks!!!
