(More customer
reviews)Well, last week I stepped out of my office for a
minute only to return and find my 5 year old Viewsonic 19" flat
panel dead. Oh, the monitor's power light was green, but no
display. After checking connections and running tests, there was no
question.
I've actually been looking for a 24" monitor for a while and was
finaly deciding on the Dell 2407WFP-HC. Unfortunately, the office
was dead without a monitor and Dell said 3-5 weeks for delivery. So
I went online and began the research, but based on reviews, nothing
stood out except the Dell. Due to the time period, I went to the
new MicroCenter in MD and looked around. They had The Samsung 245,
Viewsonic, HP and the Gateway FHD2400.
I had never seen the FHD2400, so I went to their instore internet
kiosk and did some quick checks. Nothing. Checked the Gateway
site...strangely nothing...
The monitor looked very nice, and although hesitant I asked to get
one from stock. New Store, No inventory..... So I ran up the street
to Best Buy which for large purchases I tend to despise. Even more
now that their internal web site vs internet web site issue has
become public a year after I detected the misrepresentation in my
local store on many occasions.
Well, this time I found a wonderfull sales person. They actually
had the original 24" gateway model and the new one. Unfortunately
the demo was not connected to the wall of monitors running the demo
app so it was hard to compare. The sales person upon my request
immediately moved the demo to the wall of monitors. Like I said,
she was great. We looked at it and compared it to the Samsung, LG
and the original Gateway. Absolutely no comparison. The new 24" FHD
2400 looked great on the surface.
I decided to take it home and check it out for a couple days to see
if it would suit the purpose. I'm in my second day, and so far I
have to say it's very nice. The picture is clear and very bright
and the colors compared to all of the others I've looked at are
amazing. Other 24" monitors seem flat and dull compared to this
one.
I have the monitor connected to 2 computers via KVM switch. The
first weird thing I noticed was ghosting on characters. It didn't
make sense. So I switched to the other computer which actually has
a slighly lower quality video card, and I was amazed to see no
ghosting at all. Both are connected via VGA connectors. So I
changed the one computer to DVI (I bought a cable when I bought the
monitor). The ghosting went away. It must be something specific to
the graphics card or driver.
I would recommend using DVI or HDMI connections to this
monitor.
Petty things like getting used to the touch sensitive menu controls
and a preference for either 2 DVI and/or 2 HDMI connections are
very minor. The viewing angle is more narrow than some of the
others, but it's probably due to the TN panel type. If you are
using this as a monitor then this is no problem. If multiple people
will be using it to view TV or video or if this is for multi-player
games, then you might want to test it out in that environment
before committing, otherwise so far this is a no brainer.
I've done testing for dead pixels, and so far I see no flaws in the
display. I've not run any of the technical monitor tests on it, so
I'm not sure how it will technically measure up, but from a user
perspective, unless something pops up, I'm sold. I might buy a 2nd
for that dual screen experience if this holds up.
UPDATE 11/6/2007
I've now had this monitor for a couple weeks and operationally it's
still great. I have noticed when the monitor turns on, that there
is significant backlight leakage around the edges, but this doesn't
seem to affect actual use, so I'm still very happy with the
monitor. There may be "better" at higher prices, but unless you
plan on having multiple people viewing from different angles, it's
a still a keeper.

(More customer
reviews)My 24" Acer LCD died a few weeks ago, so I went
to Fry's Electronics to browse the selection. It's been a few years
since I researched LCD's, and I'm happy to report that the
technology has come a long way! The HP 2709m exemplifies this
beautifully. After owning and using this monitor daily for the last
two weeks, I've decided to write a review for it. Here are my
thoughts on the monitor:
* 27" - huge!
* Great contrast
* Great colors
* Reflective-coating (not sure what the technical name is) - turns
the monitor into a bit of a mirror, but also sharpens the colors
tremendously versus matte-finish LCD's so to me it's worth a bit of
on-screen reflection
* Reasonable response time. Aside from working and web-surfing, I
also play FPS games (e.g. Crysis) and watch movies on this monitor;
I've been satisfied with the pixel response time. Ghosting is
non-existent, though LCD monitors can't hold a candle to
traditional CRT monitors when comparing image stability on
fast-moving objects. For instance, when a camera pans the
background in a movie, or when you spin your character around in a
video game, just like all LCD's, there is some blurring (not
ghosting, there is a difference).
* Built-in Speakers - I haven't used them, but they are there if I
ever need them.
* No annoying LED's - you can turn off the power LED on the front
of the monitor so that there is no annoying LED blasting you in the
eyes like many LCD monitors seem to have. This is especially nice
when watching a movie in a dark room - the only thing lit up on the
monitor is the screen itself.
* Ambient Light Sensor - automatically adjusts the brightness of
the monitor to the brightness of the ambient lighting in your room.
For instance, if you are using the monitor in a dark room, the
brightness is automatically decreased so that your eyes don't fry
(likewise, in a bright room, the monitor brightens the back-light).
This feature can be disabled; I have it turned off because I prefer
a fairly dark monitor relative to what the monitor's designers must
prefer, especially when reading onscreen text. The only thing I
would change would be to add a user-selectable base-level for the
ambient light sensor so that it can properly adjust to the
environment using the viewer's personal preference as the base
level.
* The stand is solid and has a small footprint.
* The look and finish is understated, glossy and bares few labels.
Very nice.
Overall, I am impressed and give this monitor a full five
stars.

(More customer
reviews)My review is mostly for Enthusiast/Professional
Photographers...
I needed a new powerful desktop with 64-bit processing. My Sony
Vaio desktop that once was cutting edge two years ago,is now not
able to keep up with many of todays demands. Especially my updated
versions of Photoshop CS, and Lightroom 2.3 which works native in
64-bit.
64-bit allows windows to accept, use and maximize a computer with
4+ gbs of RAM. The HP Pavilion Elite M9550F comes pre-installed
with a maxed out 8gbs of ram.
So for a photographer using high end software, and downloading
large amounts of files. This computer works swiftly and
effortlessly.
On my older sony desktop, it took about 15 minutes to download 4gb
off of a compact flashcard. I could not do any other task while it
downloaded, or risked data loss or the download not completing.
It takes about a minute to download with the HP, and I listen to
music and/or check emails with no detectable slow down in the
system.
On my old desktop, if I changed modules in lightroom, or did any
form of editing it took a few seconds to see the changes. I
sometimes had to hit Ctrl+Z so I can see the before image. With my
new HP,... It's so fast that I miss the changes if they are not
drastic. The screen appears to blink, because it responds so fast
to my commands.
The onboard 1TB of storage is another huge plus. There are still
very few desktops on the market with an internal 1TB drive. I have
purchased three 1TB external hardrives, with two mirroring the HP's
internal drive. There is a bay available that can be used for an
additional internal drive, and you can purchase a HP Media Drive up
to 1TB to plug right into a special bay. No wires, or software is
necessary.
I distribute CD's to models and clients often. The LightScribe
technology that is part of the CD/DVD drive lets you etch custom
labels and artwork right on a LightScribe-enabled CD or DVD. This
allows you to look professional and a cut about the rest.
There are several ways to hook up a monitor, so I have the VGA
attached to my old CRT monitor, and HDMI port attached to a 30inch
flatscreen. Using dual displays is just a few clicks, and takes
your image editing to another level.
There are a lot of features that I'm sure I missed, but these are
the standout features to me, using it for photography.

optical drive with Blu-ray Disc playback for watching your favorite
films in crystal-clear resolution and SuperMulti DVD burner with

HP Pocket Media Drive, for up to 160 GB of additional storage that
you can carry away with you when you go (media drive not included).
Other features include a ginormous 1 TB hard drive, ATI Radeon HD
4850 graphics with up to 3579 MB of total available graphics
memory, HDMI and DVI video outputs, 15-in-1 memory card reader, up
to 8 channels of surround sound output, and Gigabit Ethernet wired
networking. It comes with a wired keyboard and mouse.
The pre-installed 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows Vista Home
Premium (Service Pack 1) includes all of the Windows Media Center
capabilities for turning your PC into an all-in-one home
entertainment center. In addition to easily playing your DVD movies
and managing your digital audio library, you'll be able to record
and watch your favorite TV shows (even HDTV). Vista also integrates
new search tools throughout the operating system, includes new
parental control features, and offers new tools that can warn you
of impending hardware failures.
The Basics
Processor: With four execution cores, the 2.5 GHz Intel Core 2 Quad
Processor Q9300 blows through processor-intensive tasks in
demanding multitasking environments and makes the most of highly
threaded applications. Part of Intel's "Penryn" line of 45nm
processors, it features new hafnium-infused circuitry to reduce
electrical current leakage in transistors and help this desktop run
cooler. It also features Intel Trusted Execution Technology, which
provides hardware-based mechanisms that help protect against
software-based attacks and protects the confidentiality and
integrity of data stored or created on the client PC.
Whether you're creating multimedia, annihilating your gaming
enemies, or running compute-intensive applications at one time, new
quad-core processing will change the way you do everything. The
Q9300 has a top-of-the-line 1333 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and a 6
MB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data;
and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance.
The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster
front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.)
You get four dedicated, physical threads help operating systems and
applications deliver additional performance that enhance
multi-tasking and multi-threaded performance across many types of
applications and work loads. The Smart Memory Access feature
improves system performance by hiding memory latency, thus
optimizing the use of available computer data bandwidth to provide
data to the processor when and where it is needed. The Advanced
Digital Media Boost feature effectively doubles the execution speed
for instructions used widely in multimedia and graphics
applications. And with the Intel 64 Architecture, the processor can
access larger amounts of memory. With appropriate 64-bit hardware
and software, platforms based on an Intel processor supporting
Intel 64 Architecture can allow the use of extended virtual and
physical memory.
Hard Drive: This Pavilion Elite provides a stunning 1 TB of storage
(that's 1,000 Gigabytes), from a single Serial ATA hard drive (7200
RPM), offering one of the largest capacities you'll currently find
in a desktop. You'll enjoy the space for storing your entire music
collection as well as your DVDs and downloaded TV shows and movies.
This SATA hard drive also quickens the pace with a higher speed
transfer of data--akin to Firewire and USB 2.0.
Memory: The 8 GB of installed RAM (PC6400) helps boost the amount
of available video RAM that's shared with this notebook's video
card. It also offers a fast 800 MHz speed. The 8 GB of RAM
maximizes this desktop's capacity.
DVD/CD Drive: This multiformat DVD/CD drive is compatible with
writing both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer (DL)
DVD+/-R discs, which can store up to 8.5 GB of data. It features
12x DVD±R DL Write Once, 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 12x
DVD-RAM, 40x CD-R, 32x CD-RW write speeds and 40x CD-ROM, and 16x
DVD-ROM read speeds.
This LightScribe DVD±RW drive lets you laser-etch silkscreen
quality text and images on to CDs and DVDs . Your software, PC and
discs work together for a no-hassle way to burn just the labels you
want. After you burn content, just flip the disc over, reinsert and
burn your label--anything from a simple title to a full-disc work
of art.
Keyboard & Mouse: It comes with an HP multimedia keyboard and
scroller mouse (both with PS/2 connections).
Video & Audio Video is powered by the ATI Radeon HD 4850
graphics card, which provides 512 MB dedicated graphics memory and
up to 3579 MB as allocated by the Windows Vista operating system.
ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series GPUs bring the power of graphics
"supercomputing" to gamers, setting a new standard for visual
computing. With up to 1.2 teraFLOPS on tap, the TeraScale graphics
engine delivers an immersive, cinematic gaming experience. Enhanced
anti-aliasing (AA) and anisotropic filtering create striking
graphics with unparalleled realism so you can max out the settings
of the most demanding next-generation games or revitalize your
favorite titles. You'll also be able to watch Blu-ray movies and
play HD content with incredible visual fidelity and take your
experience to another level with new multimedia capabilities.
Sophisticated new features within ATI Avivo HD technology give you
the freedom and flexibility to edit videos quickly and convert them
to H.264 and MPEG-2 formats 1.8x faster than real-time.
The video card includes VGA and DVI video out as well as HDMI
audio/video out options. This PC also offers an integrated audio
card that can produce high definition surround sound configurable
to 8 speakers.
Networking, Connectivity & Expansion This desktop can be
wirelessly networked with the integrated Draft-N Wi-Fi LAN

(More customer

LCD. LCD weights over 80 pounds which is not that bad. Hanging the
wall plate was relatively easy , but second person would be helpful
if you are not handy. If you are putting this mount on the wall by
yourself , I wouldn't be relying on the level attached to a mount,
but rather level and drill the holes for the screws. Of course, be
sure to find the studs first and make sure you can align the holes
on the mount with the marks on the wall.
Averall the constraction of the mount is very solid. The tubes are
detachable, so it makes a lot easier to screw the mount to the wall
as there is no obstraction and less weight. I found only 3 cons
with this product: 1.the TV screws and spacers provided are too
generic and in my case added 0.5 inch to the distance from the
wall. 2. Mount screws are too thin I think and not compatible with
washers. The screw just doesn't go all the way because the hole in
the washer is too small. 3. To adjust tilt for a large TV you need
2 people period. I tried to tighten one side first and then another
and end up jamming my hand with tv to avoid it hitting the
wall.
After all Mustang it's a good, solid mount , and what you really
need to do is to decide between Static ot Tilt mounts.

bit crumbly, so I didn't trust them to hold up my 46" LCD. So I
found this thing which worked perfectly. Have had no problems with
it.
The only weird thing about it is, there's enough play in the mount
for the main pole, that it will actually tilt back from the weight
of the TV. So i put 2 blocks of 2x8's on either side to support it
on the wall.
Looks great in a loft for sure.

(More customer

Viewsonic VA1912wb. I found it to be a GREAT value in that I got a
great widescreen at a reasonable price. A few things to
mention.
** Amazon shipped it in great shape...double boxing via FedEx.
** Screen is very bright. I had to lower the brightness to near the
lowest point. That is good...so there is room to the upside if I
ever need that.
** The back of the monitor is very attractive. Sounds odd...but not
for those that have the back facing outwards and visible. Mine
happen to be in a study that is near the front entry...so having an
attractive appearance is important to us. Cables are well concealed
and routed behind a beauty plate. No odd cuts or
stickers/tags...clean lines.
** Included instructions are minimal...but hey...there are only
three items to hookup (power, input, speakers). There is also the
web and customer support if necessary.
** KEY ITEM...this monitor has both analog and digital inputs.
Clearly digital is the direction of future hookups...so make sure
to ensure whatever monitor you purchase...it has digital
inputs.
** The monitor includes the DVI cable. Many monitors do not and
will cost you easily $20 more.
** The display is clear, crisp...and better than my monitor at
work. Don't notice any dead pixels...no flaws observed.
I highly recommend this monitor and would purchase it again. I am
happy with this purchase.

the very good instructions included on the dvd that came with,
(both visual and spoken). The DVD also contains instructions on
mounting some of their other wall mounts.
Since it is a single arm mount, it will be a bit offset when the tv
is all the way against the wall, but that can be taken into
consideration before mounting. It sits about 3" from the wall when
fully back.
The hardware is well made, and there are many ways of mounting many
types of backs, including rounded, (curved), and flat, with many
VESA options. Though, I must say that the cord management is small,
so I used velcro fasteners to keep them on the arm.
The TV also tilts sideways, but it only does so when you move it,
and it is a one finger operation, as they advertise, as well as up
and down. All the movement features are adjustable with the
included hex wrench.
Once I was familiar with the operation, and found the center of the
stud, (no small feat in this building), it took about 1/2 hour, and
I had it up by myself. I am a small woman.
I would recommend this to a friend.

and had to replace it. The only thing at Best Buy was this DirectTV
DVR. It has been two months now and I still am not used to the
remote control. I don't like the user interface with this unit at
all. I believe with my Samsung, I had TIVO and now I have DirectTV
DVR service.
On the Samsung unit, you could click on info and see the year,
actors, brief synopsis and more for shows. It is hit and miss on
the DirectTV unit - almost no information shows. I have had trouble
setting up season passes and doing searches for several channels -
SCI-FI and USA to be specific. I used to have a nice long keyword
list for searches. That no longer exists.
I have a Dual LNB dish and I used to be able to push the live TV
button to get to what was showing on the other tuner. This isn't on
the new unit. I was able to program the remote in my bedroom to
work the TV but no matter what I did, I could not get the remote to
control the volume in my living room. Over all, I really hate this
receiver.
There are some pros that I will list though. One is when your phone
rings, it pops the caller ID info on the TV screen. You can also
subscribe to the game channels on direct tv. Extra remotes can be
purchased from DirectTV and are not very expensive.
I will probably try to replace this DirectTV receiver for something
different at my soonest opportunity. I just find it frustrating to
use after having a Samsung.
Just an update on this - April 2009. I don't know what I was
thinking when I gave this thing 2 stars!! It did not deserve it. 2
Stars was way too high for this piece of junk. If you have a TIVO
unit that goes bad, do whatever you have to do to get the TIVO
fixed but do not buy a Direct TV DVR. The user interface is so
horrible and the hardware sucks - I have had to reset the entire
unit about 5 times and lost everything I had recorded.
You know when something is really bad when under suggested Tags
"Piece of Crap" is suggested.
Update March 2010 - I still hate this unit.

(More customer

decided on the Samsung LNT4065F 40" 1080p LCD HDTV (~35 pounds). I
bought this mount because I have to locate the TV above my existing
desk, so I needed the ability to either have it against the wall,
or extended out in front of the desk. Installation was a breeze, I
did it myself although you should really have two people (one to
hold the mount, the other to screw the lag bolt in the stud). I was
able to find the manual for this online before I bought it to
verify all the dimensions.
PDR Mounts actually received my rebate form and actually called me
to see if I was happy with the product. This is a refreshing
difference from most rebate forms! Usually most companies may or
may not send you a check back and I've never got a call back
before. PDR went above and beyond most companies in this
respect.
Minor (very minor) annoyance: When I went to level it, I found that
the front mounting bracket frame was maybe 2-5 degrees tilted vs.
the wall mount piece. So I ended up leveling in in reference to the
front mounting bracket instead of the wall mount piece so the TV is
perfectly level now.
--- Update! ---
I just received the rebate check. This is amazing, since I received
in just about 2 weeks. Never received a rebate so fast.

(More customer
reviews)First, I'm sorry that I forgot that there wasn't
a picture of this mount, or else I would have taken one before I
mounted the screen. The mount is a flat piece of steel, with
grooves on the top and the bottom and multiple holes for mounting.
There are two pieces which screw into the back of your flat panel
(with included hardware, see below for details), and hook to the
mounting plate and provide the ability to tilt.
Mounting was not the easiest in the world; if you aren't handy at
all with tools, you should get help or think about another mount.
You will need:
1) A stud finder
2) A level
3) Drill with 3/8" bit
4) Wrench to drive in the lag bolts, or better yet an adapter for
the drill.
5) Screwdriver to take the TV off its current stand.
I have a 37" LCD screen (by Olevia) I was mounting, so I decided to
use two studs. Maybe with a smaller screen you could get away with
just one, but given that you are putting something worth a grand or
more on the wall, having it come crashing down is a bad thing.
Putting up the mount is slightly difficult; if you have ever put up
anything heavy that needs to be level you will be OK.
Once I got the mount up (the hardest part was getting the TV onto
the mount) I am very happy with it. It has a very solid feel, that
flat panel isn't going anywhere. They advertise a "one touch" tilt:
I disagree. If you want to constantly adjust the angle, get another
product. This works best in the "set it and leave it alone" mode. I
have this on the wall in the bedroom, up high enough so the sight
line clears the end of the bed. This is perfect, because the mount
tilts downward, so while in bed you have a 0 degree angle of
view.
I did mention the mounting hardware. The brackets that attach to
the TV mount differently to each model. There is a long list,
sorted my manufacturer, which tells you which of the included
hardware (different lengths of screws, washers, and spacers) you
may need. Be sure to read that. It is critical. Get the wrong
hardware and your set will come right off the mount.
Overall, I'm very pleased. This mount does what I needed it to do,
and went up with only a minor fight.

(More customer
reviews)I was reluctant to apply my limited
do-it-yourself experience to suspending a $1500 TV from a wall. But
I got a quick shot of courage by going to Circuit City and Best Buy
and being quoted "starting at" $400 and $500 just for installation
labor. I bought this mount, worked slowly and patiently, and had
the flat-panel on the wall within an hour. It's really quite
simple.
The most important thing is to precisely establish the location of
the stud to which you want to attach the mount. I used an
electronic stud-finder, and then confirmed the width of the stud by
repeatedly hammering a thin nail into the wall. The mount comes
with three huge "lag bolts" that need to be screwed into the center
of the stud.
All went smoothly except that my light-duty drill couldn't drive
the bolts, so I resorted to a socket wrench. After that it was a
simple matter to place the part of the bracket that I had attached
to the TV onto the wall mount.
I was surprised at the lack of standardization of attachment points
on TVs, but the mount should work with most models.
I would suggest the following:
1. Something -- a powerful drill or a socket wrench -- that can
drive the lag bolts. The bolt-heads are half-inch.
3. A 3/16th inch drill bit to pre-drill a hole for the lag bolts to
enter (if you are attaching to a stud).
2. A long, thin nail and hammer.
3. A level.
4. A stud-finder
Even if your mechanical skills are primitive you should be able to
satisfactorily install this mount. Be sure to get someone to help
you lift the TV onto the mount. A "professional" installation of
$400-$500 is preposterous since an experienced installer should be
able to do the job in less than a half-hour.
The manufacturer's instructions are adequate if uninspired. For
this kind of job you would hope for super-clear pictures and
directions with no room for misunderstanding, but these are not
quite up to that level. The manufacturer could put much clearer
pictures -- actual photos -- on a web site. But the instructions
were not a great impediment to completing the job.
Remember, the major issue is to locate the center of the stud and
place the bolts there. And make sure you do a precise job of
checking the mount's level. Do those things and you can save a cool
$500 dollars to spend on a new receiver.
By the way, I'm glad I spent a bit more for an adjustable tilt
mount instead of mounting the TV flush to the wall.

(More customer
reviews)The "True HD 1080p" is probably this display's
main selling point. The only HD source I had handy was an Xbox 360
with VGA output and a copy of Halo 3. The image quality was
excellent and edege-to-edge with no black bars or image distortion.
As an added bonus, the HD resolution requires a very sharp .248 dot
pitch -- perfect for day to day use with text. The downside of True
HD 16:9 is that the viewable height is only 10 and 5/8 (the
shortest of any 22' LCD I've looked at) as opposed to a full 11
inches or more for viewing a two-page layout WYSIWYG.
The monitor installs easily and is automatically recognized by XP
as a Plug and Play Monitor. The only advantage to installing
Viewsonic's driver package (that I could tell) was the addition of
a color-calibrated profile -- which didn't seem to make any
difference.
Like most modern LCDs, its stand has only a tilt adjust and no
height adjustment. I guess the assumption is that with a wide
viewing angle, height adjustment is less critical.
I like that the screen has a matte, non-glare finish. I wish I
could say the same about the bezel. The high gloss attracts
fingerprints and dust like... well you fill in your own colorful
analogy.
Button placement, on the lower right, is a poor choice for placing
two displays side by side and flush. You can barely read the button
labels against the piano black bezel, and the status indicator is
far too big and bright. But I like how input source switching (VGA
or DVI) can be achieved with a single button press.
The OSD has its share of quirks. Why did Viewsonic think the end
user would enjoy being nagged about setting the display to
1920x1080 for optimal performance? Thankfully, this can be
disabled. But it should never have been in the software in the
first place.
As so many others have noted, the sound quality of the built-in
rear-firing 2x2W speakers are truly abysmal -- completely without
bass response of any kind and adequate for only the most basic of
computer beeps.
The different ECO modes are an interesting concept and might be
helpful if you plan on leaving the display on 24/7 without a screen
saver -- to monitor a dynamic website for example. The most
conservative setting (50% reduction in brightness) seems a bit too
dark at first, but I was surprised at how quickly my eyes
adapted.
In contrast (pun intended) the dynamic contrast feature worked
poorly, often rendering video that was simply too dark. Also, ECO
shouldn't be used with dynamic contrast and it would be good user
interface design to automatically shut off the one when the other
is selected. It would also be more useful if it were easier to
access. I need to press nine buttons every time I want to change
ECO settings. I'd love to see all 4 buttons replaced with a
pushable scroll-wheel like on an HTC Mogul phone.
Rather than dynamic contrast, I would much rather have a dynamic
ECO feature -- turning down the brightness during periods of less
redrawing activity. Or better yet -- have some ability to sense
ambient light levels and adjust brightness accordingly.
Bottom line: This is an excellent display for gaming, watching
movies, and everyday use so long as you BYOS (bring your own
speakers). Graphics professionals will want to look elsewhere.
