Bounce Back Fast! Post Natal Core Conditioning DVD Review

Taking care of your body after birth is super important. I know new moms want to get their pre-pregnancy body back as fast as possible. To help with this, new moms can try the Bounce Back Fast! Post Natal Core Conditioning DVD. Mother's will learn how to condition the abdominal muscles , spine, pelvic, and more with Helene Byrne; a perinatal exercise specialist.



This DVD includes two progressive fitness band workouts (don't worry, the fitness band is included for free!), which you can start as soon as you feel like getting up and moving.  However, please watch the beginning because Helene will explain which ones you can do as soon as you're ready to move, and others that you should wait at least till you're 6 weeks post-partum.

The DVD starts out with Gentle First Moves. This session lasts for 30 minutes and includes safe, restorative exercises, it will help speed recovery from labor and delivery, and will also relieve back pain and other body aches. The next session is Bounce Back Fast - this session lasts 35 minutes and includes exercises that will flatten and tone all four layers of the abdominal wall, it will help strengthen deep core muscles, repair abdominal separation, correct posture, restores flexibility, builds upper body strength for lifting and carrying (you'll be doing this a lot now that you're a new mother!), and more.

I was actually hoping some of these exercises included baby, but they don't. You'll have to do these exercises while baby is sleeping or if you have someone else watching him/her. I do love how it includes exercises that will flatten and tone the abdominal wall - all four layers too! That is one of the areas I need to work on, so it's great that I can start doing these exercises to help get back into shape.

Helene Byrne has her fitness models Christy Sotter and Rebecca Guideman demonstrate these exercises perfectly. She explains everything along the way and you don't have to worry about not being able to keep up because this is not a fast paced exercise. You can simply lay down on a yoga mat (or any flooring is fine if you don't have one), and Helene will show you how to make sure your body is straight and even.

DOLE Real Fruit Bites are a perfect snack for the summer. They are made with real fruit pieces, yogurt, and whole grain oats. They are bite sized pieces, which makes it a great snack for the kids! The fruit pieces are coated with yogurt and then sprinkled with toasted whole grain oats. How delicious!

I have been wanting to try cloth diapers for a long time but I've always been afraid to buy them. I thought they would be a hassle to clean and didn't think they would be as fresh after the first use like disposable diapers. When Glow Bug Cloth Diapers gave me the opportunity to review one of their cloth diapers, I was super excited and couldn't wait to receive it. I think cloth diapers look much cuter then disposables.

Amber Slumber Baby Teething Necklace Review

Amber Slumber is an online company that sells baby teething necklaces that are made from 100% pure natural Baltic amber. These necklaces are recommended for babies ages 6 weeks and up. The necklaces are only 12.6-13 inches (32-33 cm), so it depends on your baby's size how long they will fit. The  necklace you see pictured above is the Mosaic Amber Teething Necklace in Round Beads. I love the colors and the white just makes the whole piece stand out.



While I haven't ever put a necklace on any of my babies, I would feel comfortable doing so if my baby was near me at all times. Amber is supposed to help with teething symptoms and I've been through the stages of teeth twice already and should be going through it again with the next month or two. I never knew amber could help with these symptoms, but I'm willing to give it a try.

Swiggies Review

Swiggies are great for children during the summer. They can easily be filled up with water or juice and strapped to the wrists for a convenient drink. They would be great to take a long on a walk, jogging,  bike ride, while playing outdoors, car rides, and more!


My girls are 4 and 6 years old and these fit on their wrists perfectly with even extra strap to spare, so the would definitely fit an older child's wrist. They feature a pop top cap, which makes it easy to drink from and close. Even a small child can do it! They even have adult size Swiggies for those of you who think these are just too cool and that you gotta have one for yourself!

These bottles can hold up to 4 oz of liquid and the adult size bottles can hold up to 5.5 oz. This review will be about their Monkey AnimaLamp.

These lamps are very cute and totally versatile. They feature LED lights that shine bright. It simply turns on by a soft touch to button located on the front of the lamp. Actually, it's not even really a button, it's more like a sensor. You can adjust the level of the head, which will adjust the level of brightness. It will really great for use outside while we were barbecuing at night. We just placed it on the table, shined it at the grill, and we were ready to go! My original plan was to place it on the dresser I use as a changing table. I still plan on using it there as it will come in handy when it comes time to change Boobuh's diaper at night.



You don't have to worry about replacing bulbs or batteries because the lamp has a built-in rechargeable battery. Just simply plug it in and charge. Once it's fully charged, it will last 8-18 hours! It also has a grip piece at the bottom so it doesn't slide around very easily.

It's a great lamp for children and adults. Children can use it as a night light, to light up a tent while camping, extra light at the desk, and more. The Olasonic TW-S7(B) speakers are a great set of speakers to have at your work desk if you don't have much space. They are small in size but not in sound. They put out more clear sound then I think is expected of them. I was impressed with how good they sounded with being so small. I have to say, I wasn't expecting much once I heard the music, my thoughts changed instantly. If you were to hear music from these speakers, you would think they were much bigger.

These speakers can easily be plugged into your computer by USB. There is no need for an electrical outlet. They also feature plug and play compatibility with PC and Macintosh computers. You don't have to download any drivers or install any software.

I personally love these speakers. The sound they give off is much better then a lot of other small speakers I have had. They look much better - I love that they are shiny. It gives a nice feel to any space and can make a great Father's Day gift.

Just For Men AutoStop Review

We chose to go with a dark brown hair color. It was just a little bit darker then his natural hair color and we wanted something a little different so it be noticeable in photos. I didn't expect it to come out very dark at first but then I started to have a second opinion while I was applying the dye. It appeared pretty dark as you can tell, so then I thought it would have a darker outcome. Based on the 'after' photo, you can tell this wasn't the case. There's not much of a difference between the 'before' and 'after' photos. However, this did apply evenly and it did have great coverage. It would definitely do an awesome job at covering grays. It was also easy to wash off his ears and any other spots I happened to get the dye on. Much easier then I expected.

The applicator is a comb that attaches to the tube of dye and all you do is squeeze the tube and comb through the hair and cover the entire head or just touch up noticeable grays. Either way, you will have evenly colored hair and an awesome outcome.

Blanket My Baby Personalized Baby Blanket Review

Blanket My Baby is an online baby store where you can purchase all sorts of baby blankets such as receiving blankets, stroller blankets, organic blankets, and even personalized baby blankets. They have many blankets to choose from that you can customize. One of my favorites is the Swaddle Designs Baby Lovie Puff Circle blanket.




I love finding baby blankets for my son. I have always kept every single baby blanket I have had for both of my daughters. It's just been something I really love. Especially soft ones. This one from Blanket My Baby is very soft and fluffy. I really like it. I love how I could personalize with my son's name; well, I personalized it with the name I call him, which is Boobuh. I also like how it has a silky satin border around it. This is a security blanket so it isn't very big - it's only 14 x 14 inches. The threading is very well done. Very good quality.


When personalizing a blanket, you can choose the wording (up to 15 characters), the font, and color of thread. Right now the blanket is only available in blue and green satin. They have other similar blankets so if you'd like pink I'd suggest checking the others out.

The Dangers Of Dollar Store Shopping

My name is Kimberly and I blog at Saving More Than Me. I am a 40 something mom to a college aged daughter {I can hardly believe it myself}. I am a former mental health therapist who can no longer practice due to the debilitating effects of Multiple Sclerosis. It seems that in today's tough economic times, everyone is trying to find a way to save money. Many shoppers use coupons to help stretch their budget, or they eat out less, or cut back in other ways. Many shoppers skip stores like Walmart and Target and instead, head to the dollar store. Dollar stores can be a great resource for purchasing inexpensive items but there a few things you should be aware of when shopping at the dollar store. The information I'm about to provide you with could save your family's life.

When purchasing anything electrical such as extension cords or holiday lights, look for a safety certification such as the Underwriters Laboratories {UL} label mark, a foil tag on the cord with a holographic image of the UL mark, or other approved certification marks {ETL or ETL Listed}. A UL certification mark on a product means that it has been independently tested and meets standards for safety and/or performance. Without a certification mark, that extension cord or holiday light set can be a shock or fire hazard.

Skip purchasing vitamins/minerals/supplements from the dollar store. Many of the items tested by safety experts indicate that these products do not contain what is listed on the label. In other words, that bottle of Vitamin C purchased at the dollar store may not contain Vitamin C at all! Also, I have heard and read from several different news sources {over the years} that dollar store OTC medications are generally manufactured in China where expiration dates tend to be a bit lax.

 The most important items that should be monitored if purchased from a dollar store is children's toys. Although toys from other stores get recalled as well, dollar store toys seem to have a higher recall rate. Why? Many of the dollar store toys are very cheaply made and can contain chemicals such as lead. If ingested, lead can cause a whole host of health problems. In addition to being cheaply made, dollar store toys are often easily breakable which can become a choking hazard to small children.

 So what can you do to protect yourself? You can reference the above information next time you head to the dollar store or you can decide not to purchase the above listed items from dollar stores. You can also check for recalls to see if you have any potentially dangerous items in your home. I have a widget on my website that you can check daily.
