I’m an intermediate SEO guy, and it takes forever to find good and pertinent backlinks for websites I want to promote. Is there an SEO tool that will find good places to backlink or maybe a directory that will let me pick out of categories? I am using SEO quake right now for Mozilla Firefox and it’s helpful, but trying to find good links is hard. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, with the new Panda updates does anyone have a good advice for what is ranking sites faster now-a-days?
SEOmoz has the best articles. If you search good you can find every tool you need from them for free. However, you will need to set up these tools using SEOmoz’s instructions (Within Blog Posts).

Hi there. I have a social networking website but I
seriously need intense website traffic. As it stands,
business is slow & I have tried everything like joining
forums, other social networking sites, writing articles,
blogs, opt in emails, google adwords, creating links &
backlinks everything & yet, traffic is
very slow.
So, im beginning to think that SEO is the
best way forward. Are there any legit
companies that does SEO
for you, I don’t care about the costs. I just simply want
traffic fast. Also, if there is anything that I haven’t

Many thanks

I had a index.html and changed that too a default.asp file.
The problem was that in the Google search for my
term/terms, because i changed my .index.html to .asp when
someone clicked on my company they got a 404 not found
error. I corrected this by making a copy of my new .asp
file and renaming it index.html. The issue that came from
that is this. I have an SEO program that
shows my Google ranking and how many back links i have.
When i use the program to analyze my default.asp file it
shows i have 74 back links. If i do the same for the old
index.html file it shows i have 32. The .html is still in
the listings on Google under my company for some searches
but if a page has www.mycompany.com it goes to my
default.asp. Its odd to have two seperate home pages.
So what i have done was do a mod re-write, redirecting
anyone who clicks on my old index.html ( still listed in
Google and others in the list of companies
for my search terms) to my new default.asp. So my question
is this. Now that i have redirected my old index.html to my
new www.example./default.asp will the 32 back links from my
index.html go to my default.asp. Also i don’t know if this
matters but my default.asp has only been created a few days
ago and nowhere does it show up yet in the list of
companies for my search term. But on yahoo
where you see my company name and www.mycompany.com it goes
directly to my default.asp file without saying its my
default.asp. The only way you ever see default.asp is when
you click “home” from my other pages. There are so many
things i dont know. Now that i combined my old index.html
to my default.asp will Google and the rest eventually use
my default.asp over my old index.html under my company
listing? Is default.asp read before index.html? Am i making
my site more complicated then it should be? Im just lost.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I really just am
worried that the back links i have (a lot of PR5 and PR6
might be lost. Even though they go to www.mysite.com) Thank
your for your time.
Actually, the best way to do this is put a canonical tag at
the head section of your homepage and state the desired URL.
It is recommended to choose “http://yoursite.com”, or
“http://www.yoursite.com”.
The canonical will tell google that all of the other URL
versions are just replicas and transfer their SEO power to
your “real” URL so you won’t even have to do the redirect.

Well, this local SEO company charged me dollarsignr100 bucks for 3 popular keywords and if someone search those keywords my website show on top of google in fist page. Well, they DID it and it was not a scam.
One of my keywords was Persian Rugs and this is a very high demand keyword.
My question is: These people DID NOT even logged in into my website to changed meta tags or inside content. I was thinking they will do lots of back links in short amount of time but they never did any backlinks to my website.
I am not talking about my website on ad world place. Its just below the ads in regular search result area in first page.
Do you have any idea how they could do this? They guarantee that the website will stay on top for at least one month.
What do you think folks?
Thank you.
Simple, they did it by building inbound backlinks for your
website. If you don’t know what is backlinks? Then read this

Ranking?” from

The company I work for has built their audience naturally. No backlinks, reciprocal link exchanges or anything of that sort. They have been around for more than 10 years, yet only have a PageRank of 3. Monthly visitors to the site are over 1.6 million, so it kind of boggles my mind why their PageRank is so low.
We do not have a marketing manager, and I have been asked to build our PageRank even though I have no marketing or computer programming experience. I have been given no authorization for purchasing, so these tactics would have to be for free.
Any great suggestions from experienced webmasters would
help be appreciated. Feel free to email me with any
suggestions if you do not want to answer publicly. Thanks
in advance.
To answer Jake: I got my PageRank from
http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
PageRank is a measurement of your link popularity, more PR pages backlinks you have, higher your pagerank will be. It doesn’t really matter how old the site is, unless you have backlinks, you will not have higher PR or any PR at all.
If you are focused on increasing your pagerank, then your focus will be on getting high PR backlinks. There are plenty of free link building methods out there which will not cost you a dime but getting backlinks form PR pages will either require a lot of work or a lot of money. No site will give you a backlink form PR pages without getting paid. If your site is an informative non-profit site, then you might contact some other site owners who might be willing to give you a backlinks. Aside from that, you can find blogposts with pageranks where you can submit relevant comments. Make sire the blog is dofollow or dont have rel=”nofollow” attribute added to external links otherwise you will not get an link juice.
If you have a long term goal on increasing pagerank, then you can start working on your link building slowly and over time you will see a difference. You can find some popular and useful link building methods in the article below:

The company I am using has designed my site and is doing our SEO campaign. There are a few reasons we are considering changing companies. They have been OVER-PROMISING and UNDER-DELIVERING, I find myself having to ask several times before things are done and I feel we are no longer getting what were paying for. I told him a few months ago that our budget only allows until the end of January unless we get the results he promised by that time. I want to make sure to take all precautions before we make our final payment so we don’t get in trouble. Our SEO strategy consists mainly of backlinking.
1) What passwords do we need to change? I.E. FTP, Admin, Google Analytics………
2) What should I get from him that I will need to give to our new website designer/SEO? I.E. Source code, list of backlinks, SEO plan, etc.
3) How can I ensure that he can’t delete the backlinks or undo the SEO he has already performed? Our rankings are already somewhat established on Google among other search engines
4) Are backlinks a do it once and forget, or do I need to get in touch with the websites we have backlinks with and establish communication with them?
Thanks in advance! If you are an SEO/designer looking for a client, we are tentatively looking for a replacement. Our main keywords are very competitive, 1 star according to Traffic Travis and we are currently towards the top of page 3 of Google for them. We are in month 5 of our SEO campaign.
1)Just you need to change FTP pass words and hosting
details..
2)Back Links , Seo plan not at all required
3)Once the admin has approved the links then he cont do any
ting with that links as I am from SEO we can build up more

I have been running a few old sites (3+ years old) and new
sites (less than 1 year old). You can’t apply the same
SEO tips for old and new sites.
They don’t work the same. I mean, I can submit articles or
new pages to social bookmarking sites 5 times a week.
However, I can’t do the same with new sites.
If I submit my new sites to social bookmarking sites too
often, I will get reindexed. If you want to get indexed
faster, then don’t try to get many back links for new
sites.
In other words, I can’t get many backlinks
too often for new sites.
Am I wrong?
Any idea is appreciated.
Thanks and have a good day!
Yes to get index faster you need to create backlink, free articles submission is very useful. There are many free articles submission site which accepts free articles.one of my friend suggested me http://www.basearticles.com which accepts free articles.

Hi,
I am doing SEO, and I find it too time consuming to build backlinks myself. I cannot do anything except for backlinking all day long, which sucks.
I need a good backlinking service, to get high PR link building done for me. But the companies I found are way too expensive, or they look scammy, do not provide reports of the links, etc.
Is there any reliable service I could get my backlinks done for normal rates?
Thank you!
If you want to rank, it is good to have combination of links. Content as well as the High Pr links. I found Link Dominators to be very affordable and all the work is done for you, and yes you actually do get the report at the end with all the links.
One more thing, while I’ve tried many services, you need the one that works on getting those links indexed, which is exactly what they did for me!

Hi I would suggest that you have a look at www.fivesquids.co.uk basically people list service or “gigs” that they are willing to do for £5. People are offering 5000 backlinks, submitting your site to over 1000 web directories other people will write key word specific articles the list goes on and on. Its a REALLY good resource and for a small amount of money you can drastically improve your traffic.
Hope I could be of some help

Update: Thanks for the answer Jake. I do already out source a lot of SEO work and is always a bit hit and miss. Your right about the domain name as well cheers, I will have to start a new site I feel.
That obvious black-hat oriented site name (in search engine parlance) may not attract high level partnerships, and may not rank too well in search results.
You might look at outsourcing the repetitive grunt work to 3rd world workers. You can find a number offering various low cost back-linking services on Webmaster and Internet Marketing forums.

Has anyone tried out Rhino SEO‘s Link Blast for $250 where they give you 1000 backlinks?
http://www.rhinoseo.com/website-seo-services
Anyone know if it is done right or if they just put bogus links etc.?
Well lets be real here buddy. 1000 backlinks ? Are they forum profile links ? Are they comment links ? What kind of links are they ? And what kind of turn around time are they telling you, lastly are they anchor text links or just url backlinks. Normally and this is over a decade of experience telling you…that if you have a relatively young website, like a few days to months old and you blast away on backlinks GOOGLE WILL NOTICE, and your site will get de-indexed.
Why pay someone to create back links when you can create great content, submit your RSS feed to the likes of RSS aggregates and directories, let your content get syndicated and wahhhlaaa anyone who posts your RSS feed on their site will ultimately link back to you. All free…ALL NATURAL. Stuff Google Loves
Again great content is king, but back linking can be dangerous if you do not know what you are doing or who you are working with
William asks…
I would like to buy some excluding proxies for
seo spyglass.
I want to use the proxies to check page rank for thousands
of backlinks. Without proxies, I would be
blocked by google easily.
There is a huge risk in using free proxies from unknown sources. Many of these free proxies and VPN’s are what are called hacker pots. They are there waiting for you to fall into their trap so they can steal your personal information, login credentials and plant bots on your computer.
Once a bot is planted the hacker has control of your machine and can steal credit cards, attack web sites and send out tons of spam all from your IP address.
Some of these free proxies and VPNs are run by people out to simply make money and not by hackers. There is nothing really wrong with that in principle. However, the best case here is that you will get a proxy loaded with advertisements with no real speed to it.
The amount of money the owner can make with advertising clicks is really only pennies a day per user. Many of these owners supplement their income by key logging everything you do and selling your personal information to advertising companies.
Some very well known free VPNs and proxies do exactly this and make a lot of money in the process. Your personal information is worth a lot more than what they could make with just clicks on advertisements. Companies all over the world pay premiums for information targeted to individuals which show their likes and dislikes. This can easily be determined by following your web surfing habits and recording everything.
Unfortunately for you, the global databases with your personal information keep growing as you use them. Before you know it anyone with the money to buy the information can get a complete profile of you and your thinking, your buying habits, opinions and more. These databases never go away and will follow you all your life.
Since you have no way to know what the owner is actually doing you need to assume the worst case is true.

I’ve got a website up and running now and I’d like to create backlinks for SEO (search engine optimization). Could someone explain how to do this and possible give an example? I’m not going to list my website on here b/c I believe it’s against community guidelines and terms of service, so we’ll just say my website is www.howtocreatebacklinks.com . Any and ALL help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank You!
Creating a backlink is simple. Simply add you websites URL to your comment. For example, if you notice my source below, I have my website URL and that is my backlink. But don’t wast your time adding backlinks to every post you come across. Only add your backlink to related and relevant sources. What that means is you want to find other sources that relate to your website. Not in competition with them just related and relevant. Finding the right tool will save you a ton of time because creating related and relevant backlinks can be very time consuming.
You can also create backlinks by adding links to an article you write. You would add html code around your URL like this: A Keyword Here This is also considered a backlink. When clicked it would lead the user back to your website.
Hope this helped. Good luck!
James asks…
I want to perform SEO for websites of my organisation, for which i m working, and want to know various methods, techniques, processes, steps and activities about SEO. I want to know actual actions i have to perform i.e. how can I establish backlinks & raciprocal links? How can PR be increased? How SEO Companies do increase Search Engines Ranking for a website, significantely, in a short span of time??????? etc. etc.
Below are really basic steps. But you need to begin reading all the blogs, web sites, forums etc as SEO changes often and it is much more detaile then below. There are no short cuts for an seo person
There is no such thing as a permanent “fix” to magically send you to the top of the rankings for good. But here are some of the basics to look for when optimizing your site for the first time.
On-Page Factors
1. Title Tag
This one is very important. Among the first things the
spiders will crawl on your page is the Title Tag at the very
top of your HTML code. This is what you see in the blue bar
at the top of your browser when you land on a page. Using
unique text in this tag on each page is absolutely essential.
I have seen huge sites with thousands of pages all using the
same content in the Title Tag of each page, frequently the
name of the company as the only text. Not only will you NOT
rank for anything but what is in that tag for your entire
site (Do you want every page on your site to rank for nothing
but your company name? I don’t think so.), but you run the
risk of most of your pages winding up in Google’s
Supplemental Index, probably never to be seen again. You must
have a unique Title Tag related to the unique subject matter
of each page throughout your website (10 to 15 words, 80
characters maximum).
2. Internal Navigation
There was a time when the search engine crawlers choked on
javascript links and database driven web pages that looked
something like
http://www.widgets.com/product.php?categoryid=1&productid=10,
but they are better at reading them these days. However, you
still need to make your links as digestible to the spiders as
you can. As much as possible, you should make your links
through plain text and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
Javascript and image map links should be avoided as well as
session IDs and variables in dynamic pages. Avoid using
frames like the plague! These can all still give spiders a
fit. Also, use a sitemap with text links to not only help
visitors find what they are looking for, but to direct the
spiders to all of your internal pages.
It is a must that you include a static html site map and xml site maps. Be sure to also have a robots.txt page
3. Make Your Site Unique
They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but
that’s a big no-no on the web. Do not copy someone else. Make
your site as unique as possible with information that no one
else has. In other words, don’t steal content off of someone
else’s site. Not only can that be copyright infringement, but
it can put you and the site you copied from in hot water with
the search engines for duplicate content (see Duplicate
Content below). Creating a buzz about something unique is
great link bait. Which leads us to:
4. Content
Content is King. Content is spider food. The search engines
are looking for the foremost authority on a keyword or
phrase. Make sure your site has plenty of keyword rich
content high on the page that is useful to the visitor as
well as digestible to the spiders. Make use of H1, H2 and H3
headlines that contain your keywords. Make sure your prose is
natural and easy to read.
Don’t go overboard and make every other word on the page the keyword you want to rank the page for. Stuffing the page with keywords is considered a form of spam.
Focus on search phrases, not single keywords, and put your location in your text (“our Palm Springs showroom” not “our showroom”) to help you get found in local searches.
Having terrific content will not only be great for your visitors and spiders, but it’s wonderful link bait, too (see Links below). A blog is a great way to create fresh, new content (for the spiders and for visitors) and attract inbound links.
Also, use Flash animation and images sparingly. Spiders can read text, not Flash nor pictures. A sure way to kill any chance of ranking well is to create a site that is all Flash or mostly images.
5. Duplicate Content
Let’s say you have a site that sells a thousand different
types of widgets and the pages are all built from the same
template with the same text and the only difference is the
model of widget on the page. What could happen is that the
search engines will not see enough difference in the pages to
consider them unique and will rank what it considers the best
single page and dump the rest, in the case of Google, into
Supplemental Index limbo.
Make sure all of your pages have unique Title Tags, Meta Tags (see below) and text, in this case probably in the form of product description text.
And, if you are writing articles for distribution to the various article sites for mass distribution (a great way to get back links), be sure to publish the article on your own site first and give the spiders a chance to crawl it. That identifies you as the originator of the content. Then push the article out for distribution across the web, making sure you have a link back to your site in the article content.
6. Code Bloat
Between you, your web designer and web programmer, it’s real
easy to wind up with a page that is full of internal code
that not only impedes spiders, but causes your pages to load
at a snail’s pace. Be very careful with this. Too much code
will send both the spiders and the visitors away and can
knock the meat of your pages down to the bottom. It’s best to
have your spider-friendly content as high in your code as
possible, so when you can, place javascript (if you
absolutely MUST use it) and CSS in external files that can be
called with a single line of code from each page.
For instance, one site I worked with had so much javascript going on that the first 200 lines of code after the Title and Meta Tags were javascript, knocking the rest of the content down and making the page load size huge. I was able to move the javascript into external files, each simply called by a single line of code. This made every page on the site smaller in size and brought the spider-friendly content up higher in the code by 199 lines.
For example, you could put your all 100 lines of your CSS on each and every one of your 300 site pages or you could call your CSS from an external file called style.css with one single line of code on each page like:
If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you’ll need to ask your web developer or learn a bit about HTML.
7. Tweak and Test
Make one change at a time and evaluate. Changing too many
things at once can confuse things to the point where you
don’t know which change you made did what. For instance,
let’s say you changed your content on a page as well as the
linking structure and Meta Tags at the same time and the page
dropped in the rankings a few days later. How would you know
which to point to as the problem?
Try one tweak at a time and give the search engines time to digest it before moving on to the next.
8. Meta Tags
The only Meta Tag that carries any weight at all as far as
SEO is the description and title tags, and it doesn’t have
the influence it once had. Still, it’s a good idea to make it
keyword rich and include what you want to show up in the
SERPS (search engine result pages) as your description. Yes,
this is what frequently comes up describing your site in the
results, so be sure it says what you want it to say.
And, it is believed that having a unique TITLE and Meta description tag on each page will help keep pages out of Google’s Supplemental Index.
The keyword tag has very little influence on rankings anymore, practically none, but it can’t hurt to include it. Just don’t stuff if with a thousand words. Ten or so should be enough for any page.
Off-Page Factors
9. Links
If Content is King, then Links are Queen. Search engines look
at links pointing to your site as verification that you are
an important authority site. It’s not just the quantity of
links but the quality that counts. You can have thousands of
links pointing to you, but if they are all from link farms or
spammy sites, they won’t do you any good. Try to get back
links from quality sites. If you have good content, a lot of
links will come your way naturally, but if you want to speed
things up, you’ll need to actively pursue those links. One
way is to contact theme related, non-competitive authority
sites and request a link. The acid test for a potential link
is if there is a natural, logical reason for that site to
link to you. If not, then you don’t want the link.
And, you want the links back to your site to use your keyword text in them. This is extremely important. If the keyword you are targeting is “widget” then you want the link back to your widget page to use that text and not “click here” or something like that.
Another way to use your content to get back links is by submitting articles to other sites for publication (A blog and RSS feed are great for this). Just be sure the content includes links to your site.
Submitting to trusted directories is also a good place to start. Most of the best require a fee for a listing, but they can be a great first step in your link building campaign.
There’s no simple, easy one-step way to gain links. It’s really about networking and relationships and your useful content is the key.
10. Competition
Keep track of your competition by searching for your primary
keywords and study what they are doing. Don’t copy them, but
you can analyze what they are doing right and you are doing
wrong. See who is linking to them and investigate getting
your own link. If you are a new site, you’ll be playing catch
up for a while, but have faith. That guy in the #1 spot had
to start from scratch at some point, too.
11. Analysis & Statistics
Sounds boring, but all of your hard work is worthless if you
don’t know how you are doing. Chances are your hosting
company will have some sort of web statistics feature where
you can check basics such as unique visitors, where your
traffic is coming from (referrals), page not found errors,
etc. One mistake newbies make is to consider “hits” as the
number of visitors they are getting. In actuality, “hits” are
useless information. Hits are simply server pulls. As an
example, if you have ten images on a page each time the page
is loaded each image results in a server pull or “hit.” What
you really want to look at is the number of “unique visitors”
to your site, not hits, as an indication of your traffic.
If you are an e-commerce site, you’ll also want a way to track conversions, which will require something more than your basic hosting stats. Google offers free web analytics that could be adequate for many site owners, but there are also commercial applications available that offer greater functionality.
Whatever you do, don’t leave the site on autopilot. Check your stats frequently. You’d be surprised at the little things you’ll see that will help you bring in more traffic.
12. History
There is evidence that the search engines actually look at
your domain history in their ranking algorithms (How long the
domain has been up, how many years you’ve renewed for, if
you’ve changed IP addresses frequently, etc.). The more
stable you are the more they consider you a trusted site.
If you’re in it for the long haul, renew your domain for several years at a time (not just annually) and get a dedicated IP address and keep it. The best situation is to have a dedicated web server, but not all of us can afford that. The next best thing is to pay for a dedicated IP address with your host so that you are no longer sharing the hosted IP block. It usually doesn’t cost that much. Not only will the search engines see you as stable, you don’t run the risk of the IP being banned if one of your shared hosting neighbors is naughty.
Don’t bounce from host to host because that screams SPAMMER to the search engines. Find a good hosting company and stay there.
Linda asks…

Hey,
I am a web marketer and can do great SEO for your
website.

Paul asks…
This company want me to pay £5,000 then a monthly fee to do me a top website, but they are laying on the pressure to sign up today. They promise thousands of back links, but I thought automated links are seen as spam. Is this a black hat form of SEO?
They are trying it on, whatever you do do not pay them. There are loads of web designers and companies out there that will build you a fantastic website for far less then £5K. And yes if they are promising you thousands of backlinks then this will be by using a black hat technique and the chances are the backlinks will not only prove useless but your also likely to be penalised by the main search engines for employing such a technique. Search engines are very clever these days at detecting sites that are trying to scam them and achieve high rankings by using black hat techniques. The fact that this company is trying to get you to do this is a good indicator that they do not have your best interests at heart. Also they sound very desperate especially as they are putting you under pressure to sign up today. Most decent web companies only as for a deposit of around 30-50% up front and will never ask you to pay the full amount. My advice would be to find another company out there. It’s not that expensive these days to get a really professional looking web site.
Also the robbers want you to pay a monthly fee on top, they are having a laugh at your expense.
Beware of scammers. Best of luck.
Lizzie asks…
They did a lots of back linking or they pay Search engine..Is this only on 1 SE?
Helen asks…
A friend of mine is about to sit down with a new
SEO company. What questions should he be
prepared to answer? I told him to be prepared to answer the
following questions in case they ask.
1. What 6 specific keywords are you trying to rank for?
2. What keyword string are you trying to rank for? example:
Website Design, Content Management Systems
3. How many years was your domain purchased for? How long
have you owned it?
4. Is your website hosted on a linux or windows server?
5. Are you familiar with backlinks? Do you
know how to build backlinks?
6. Do you have a Google Webmaster Tools, Yahoo Site
Explorer, or Bing Webmaster Center account?
7. Do you have analytics to track visitors?
8. Does your current site have a sitemap.xml or
robots.txt?
9. Is your business listed on Yelp?
10. Do you have any PPC or Adword accounts live sending
traffic to your website?
A good SEO firm won’t need to ask many of the questions that you listed. They’ll run a quick audit of the site before they ever even talk to your friend.
For example:
1. They can ask if there are keywords that they are trying to
rank for, but a good SEO firm will do the keyword research,
not expect your friend to do it. Keyword research is the
SEO’s job, not the client’s.
2. See number 1.
3. 5 seconds on http://www.domaintools.com/ will answer this
question.
4. Could be relevant, but definitely not a huge concern from
an SEO standpoint.
5. A good SEO firm will explain any lingo they use.
6. Good question.
7. Good question.
8. It takes 5 seconds for an SEO firm to check this manually.
The existence of these files is not enough. The contents of
these files needs to be verified.
9. It’s good to be listed on Yelp, but that’s just one of
many sites that should be linking back to the client’s site.
A good SEO firm should have tools that check backlinks for
them. They shouldn’t have to rely on a client’s answer.
10. Good to know, but not necessary to perform SEO.
If an SEO firm asks your friend any questions that he doesn’t know the answer to, then they should be able to explain in simple terms what they are looking for, and help him find the answers.

Hi, I have recently reformatted my site and would like some
help on how to best SEO it. There are
loads of companies out there selling
backlinks, promotion, traffic and all
sorts of ‘Page Rank gaining’ opportunities, but I don’t
know which ones would harm my site and which would help it.
If anyone could take a look at it www.biggainsnopains.co.uk
and let me know any suggestions, that would be fantastic!
As a recent graduate with finances strapped, I cannot pour
money into advertising as I would like, but would
appreciate an easy method to increase my PR from 0 to at
least 3/4. Many thanks all
Daniel Laming
Don’t worry too much about Pagerank, it’s not as important as everyone says. Besides, it could take you a year to get PR4. The basics are simple: Get as many backlinks to you your site as possible and use your keywords as anchor text.
You could submit articles, post comments on blogs and include your url…you get the idea!
Cheers!
Laura asks…
Has anyone used this. I know that backlinks are very important for seo to get good google ranking so i want a good service to gain quality seo backlinks for my website.
I feel manual link building is better.
Joseph asks…
Be careful what you do for backlinking. Google recently updated their algorithm so be sure to read the rules on it. And be sure to use online directories like mine: http://www.TheMillionPageWebsite.com
Chris asks…
There’s a lot of sites out there offering to sell you backlinks to boost your site’s SEO, but all of them seem to have complaints attached to them. Can anyone recommend a service that works and doesn’t rip you off?
It seems everyone is trying to sell something.
I can give you an honest reply. I have bought lot of these backlinks and backlink softwares. I bought backlinks from ebay and fiverr.com. The best part of fiverr is that everything is for a dollarsignr5. I bought from several different sellers, some are scams and some definitely worth a dollarsignr5.
You can buy backlinks from related websites, so you get more ranking juice. Do not buy too many as it might make your site go google sandbox.

I’ve got a prospect that is wanting me to give them a price
on doing 40-50 high quality backlinks per
week and 2 press releases per week. I usually charge on a
monthly basis depending on the amt of work but they kind of
want a per unit price. How much would you charge for these
services?
Wow, I can’t believe I didn’t think of that. You are a
genius.
If anyone has anything informative to share please do.
That depends on which country you are in, what type of niche you will be doing, the time element and also the resources.
Price can be higher if you will be the one looking for the sites to backlink to etc…
I suggest you think about these elements first before saying yes to your client.
Goodluck =)
Thomas asks…
Over the years, I took SEO services from various companies promising top 5 positions on all major crawlers. This, of course, was never achieved by ANY of them. The issue, from my understanding of backlink creation, is that although the SEO company may submit our URL to high PR sites to create backlinks, it is never garanteed that the websites will actually accept to post the backlink.
Recently, I’ve looked into Linkproz. They are “brokers” for a series of websites. They are asking 500dollarsignr/month to create 15 backlinks on PR 4 sites and 5 backlinks on PR 3 sites. These links however need to be paid on a monthly basis. Meaning that once I terminate the service, the backlinks will disappear .
I was wondering if this is worthwhile and if, say 8 months from now, I terminate the contact, my page ranking will drop on google ?
If this is not a good method of increasing page ranking on google, does anyone have a reference for a good SEO company / person.
Thank you,
Yes of course, if we buy homepage link, for example, 8 months contract, then if we dont extend the contract, all the backlinks will disappear.
I usually built my backlinks with combination of method start from on page seo, submit directory, blogcommenting on several type of blog platform, forum profiles on several platforms, social bookmarking, dot edu backlink, senuke x, link juicer and some others.
With this method, my seo service sites is now on page 2 google.co.uk for seo services (I’m targeting UK market), page 1 for affordable seo services and page 7 for seo company. I’ve optimized the site for 3 months. The result on SERP depends on the competition. Here is my seo services site. Please check it out and let me know if I can help you.
Donald asks…
What is the best way to spread word of my new site? Many people suggest submitting to directories but this seems tedious as every time I try, after filling out a huge form they all of a sudden slap me with a 3 figure fee. Is it worth paying a company to do this for me or is that a bad idea and frowned upon?
Something like this? http://www.wlmarketing.com/directory-submission-service.html
There are many other places to get back links that are better like blogging, social media, social bookmarking, on-line classifieds, article directories, press releases, and viral video.

Thomas asks…
I am not talking about a backlink that just has the websites url as the link, I am talking about a “backlink” that doesn’t have a link at all associated with the website in question. If you go to www.backlinkwatch.com and type the name of a website a lot of those links that come up have no anchor text associated with the links and when you click on the link I cannot find the url link either. This makes me wonder why they are saying there is a backlink there in the first place (an example would be www.dgelectrical.com). Can anyone tell me if this would actually help this website in the page rankings for a search engine and why these are considered backlinks at all? Thanks.
Yup! Those are outdated back links which are not helpful for Search Engine Rankings.
Daniel asks…
Im new to the SEO world. Im working on link building. I now know the bassics. How to tell if its “nofollow” or not, and not to overlink, and some nofollows are actually good (like craigst). What I do not know, is what the difference is between URL BACKLINKS and ANCHOR TEXT BACK LINKS
Anchor is the text you hang off a link and a url is just a straight up link through to your site
Sandy asks…
I have a two part question for any SEO experts out there.
1) How often should you vary your anchor text and what sort of breakdown would you use for maximum rankings? IE… 50% exact anchor text, 5% “click here” anchor text, etc.
2) How many links are “too many” according to google?
Now I understand that no one knows exactly what google’s algorithm says but certainly ppl should have the benefit of some good trial and error. I think I may be overoptimized and google bombing because my homepage has dropped in rankings a bit while I’ve been actively building quality backlinks.
You want to have your anchor text as tight as you can get it. Laser focused. Build your links in the same manner.

Carol asks…
I have done seo to my website and got into top 3 positions
Now I want to do seo for another keyword what is the process.
Should I follow the same as I have done for keyword1
should I need to build backlinks through the anchor text with that keyword
please suggest
There is a lot of work you should do! First – off site seo
which will include:
- What’s the keyword for this page?
- Does the domain contain the keyword? If not, does the URL
contain the keyword?
- Does the title contain the keyword?
- Are there H1, H2 and H3 tags with the keyword?
- Does the first sentence contain the keyword?
- Does the last sentence contain the keyword?
- Is the keyword density more than 2%?
- There MUST be an image, does the ALT tag contain the
keyword?
- How long is the content? The longer, the better. Try to
have more than 500 words.
- Are the keywords decorated in bold, italic and
underline?
- Good usage of nofollow on external links?
After that on-line SEO – there is one way there – backlinks!
Forum backlinks, comment backlinks, web 2.0 backlinks, rss
backlinks, etc. Good luck with your SEO!

I am planing to purchase SEO package (back
links) for my Japanese website.
Back links will be from website or blog in English with

Do you think I get any effect from these link?
Can you recommend any good seo backlinks for purchase?
I would recommend better you first consult with the experts in the field. I know one, a company from India name G2One Network.
Is the incoming user traffic on your website extremely low? Are web users completely oblivious of your website’s existence? Is your website’s search engine ranking depressingly low, or worse still does your website completely lack a ranking? Are you looking to change the current status quo? If you are interested in a simple method to increase web user traffic to your website through increasing your website’s level of search engine optimization, search no further than this.
The answer to your problem is as simple as this; edu backlinks. Edu backlinks will completely revolutionize your website’s visibility. They are a simple, yet completely reliable means of search engine optimization. Please note that there are those backlinks which you can get free of charge but depending on your source there are also those backlink source providers which will charge you exorbitant amounts of money for the same service.
Make sure that you understand the terms and conditions stipulated by your backlink source provider before you enter into a binding contract with them. Edu backlinks will increase your website’s rankings in search engines which basically means that once you employ the use of these backlinks on your website, Internet users will easily spot your website, because it will appear at the top of search result lists. Another means of improving the visibility of your website is by building backlinks. Building backlinks refers to the process of creating links that are directed to your website. Backlinks are important in making your website visible on search engines because the more backlinks you have that are linked to your website, the more important your website is deemed the better will be its search engine optimization.
Building backlinks is an important strategy when used in conjunction with properly placed edu backlinks because the two strategies once combined, will get your website the desired result of higher search engine ranking and will also increase your site’s trust levels allowing increased user traffic, because your site will not be blocked by the various security systems employed by internet users. Building backlinks works best when your website’s content is related to the theme of the backlink. Therefore ensure that your website not only has the key words search engine users employ, but also that you have content related to those key words.
Increasing site content is a completely natural and easy way of increasing the visibility of your site, plus it supports the various backlinks you will have built. Edu backlinks and building backlinks are not a senseless marketing ploy or gimmick but are a solid marketing strategy you could use today to improve user traffic to your site. Try edu backlinks for yourself today and see the positive results in terms of increased search engine ranking as well as increased accessibility of your website.

White hat link building is the best known strategy to get relevant links so that your website appears high on the SERPs in the top search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. Google in particular takes your inbound links as recommendations and places your website at a higher page rank. Every tom, dick and harry now know that without quality back links, you can never dream of getting a higher page rank.
Though this is not a new strategy, the method you adopt to build links and the sites you choose to get back links from, go a long way to separate the best from the regular. The sites that indulge in link buying, link stuffing or auto-submission in directories using software, generally go ahead in generating a large quantity of links, but they fail to get quality from relevant sites, as a result of which, their site gets downgraded, or even banned in Google search engine result pages. On the contrary, white hat seo methods always score above the rest, by securing good page rank and high search engine result pages with long-term benefits to the site. The following properly researched white hat optimization strategies will help you get good relevant back links, and in turn good page rank.
1) Links from article submissions: Submission of high quality articles to the top free article directories, along with back links placed with the required keywords in the article body, as well as the author biography, is the best white hat link building technique. Though tedious, it helps in providing valuable information to the readers, who then click on the link to visit your site, as well as share your link.
2) Use anchor texts: Always use the proper anchor text with your links. Using your keywords as anchor text will help a lot, since Google places a lot of interest on links with anchor text. SEO professionals using white hat link building methods will always select those article submission sites allowing do-follow back-links, since such links are followed and indexed by the Google spider.
3) Get links from relevant websites: When you get back links from a high page rank site, make sure that you get the links from sites which are relevant. Google bot will place back links from relevant sites at higher value, than those from random irrelevant sites.
4) Getting links from non-commercial sites: Securing back links from non-commercial websites having.org or.edu domains will prove to be a great boost to your white hat link building efforts. Such links are considered to be very important from the point of view of page ranking.
5) Use social bookmarking sites: Use the free top-ranking social bookmarking sites to your advantage. Using this widely used white hat link building strategy, bookmark interesting and informative web pages from your website, along with your back link, on social bookmarking sites and get your site recommended by other users as well.
Do not get carried away with optimization services claiming to provide thousands of back-links within a week. Go for the slow and steady white hat optimization methods that are guaranteed to get your site good SERPs and good page rank.

Driving traffic to your website is an ongoing effort that every website owner must do to become successful. Traffic equals money after all. Millions of websites have been abandoned long ago by their owners and sit out there in cyberspace, lost and alone simply because nobody knows they are there, and their owners were too lazy to work at driving traffic.
Backlinks are key to driving traffic to your website and they are often seen as the hardest part of building a website. Backlinks can be regarded as votes of confidence from other websites. The major search engines see those votes of confidence and move you up in the SERPs (search engine result pages) accordingly. Page ranking is also important. Simply put, a PR (page rank) 9 is as high as you’ll get and sites like Facebook, Yahoo and Google are PR9s. The scale steps down to PR0 websites, which is the lowest ranking you can get, otherwise your site is “unranked”. If you are a PR0 and you can link to a site that is ranked a lot higher than yours, then the search engines consider that a more valuable link. Aim high.
Set aside a certain amount of time every day to work on getting backlinks. A common aim is about 10 a day, but if you can get more you are doing well. It’s a tedious business, but there are many ways of going about getting backlinks, some easier than others.
One of the simplest methods is blog commenting. Find blogs that are on a similar subject to your own and leave intelligent and helpful comments. The site owner will reward you by allowing you to include a link, which hopefully readers will click on to go through to a relevant page on your site. Be a little particular about the blogs you choose, make sure they have lots of visitors and are up to date and are relevant “do follow” blogs.
Posting on relevant forums is much like blog commenting. Make sure you leave a comment that is valuable and helpful as many people visit forums for information. Leaving comments like “yeah, great post man” is not going to cut it, and the moderator will probably delete your useless post.
Sign up for RSS feeds when you find any blog or forum that you like. You will be quickly informed of other comments coming to those sites and you can react quickly by posting further useful comments.
Article marketing used to be a great way to get backlinks if you were prepared to write a few 550-word articles. Since the February Google Panda algorithm change, article marketing is not nearly as effective as it was but you can still post an article to your site, wait for it to be indexed by Google and post exactly the same article to the major article marketing sites. It is not considered duplicate content as it is your own content – just make sure it isn’t heavily promoting a product, as some major article directories don’t like that. The duplicate content myth does not apply here – you can post articles that you have already posted on your own site to article directory site.
Posting well SEO’d articles on your own site regularly is a good way to get “organic traffic”. Knowing how to use the best keywords to find traffic is a knack you will learn over time. You will be able to discover what the best keywords are in your niche for attracting traffic, and you can write more articles around those keywords.
Adding social bookmarking buttons to your site will also help. When people enjoy an article they will share it with their Facebook and Twitter friends, sending you more traffic.
Many high-traffic site owners want quality content that they don’t have to write. If you find a site in your niche, simply approach the owner and ask if you can post an article from your own site on theirs. Google knows you are the original owner of the article because it’s already on your site. This method may take some persistence but if you can cultivate a relationship with the site owner and you write valuable content, then the chances are, he will get back to you with a yes. You could then become a regular contributor.
If you can write helpful, original, high-quality content – even if it is already posted on your site, you can recycle it and gain backlinks. Like I said, it will take some effort on your part but the rewards are enormous once you start the ball rolling.
