I bought the grill so that I could sear steaks, grill for a party and cook BBQ low and slow all in one grill. I have had nothing but success, great grill marks and I am able to maintain a 230-250 degree temperature for BBQ (with smoker box for great flavor). The six burners plus the smoker burner and wide cooking surface allow me to tailor the temperature perfectly. The setup instructions were clear and I was able to assemle it myself. I am very pleased with my purchase of the Summit Gold D6 and knowing Weber will be around for as long as I will own this grill as also very reassuring.

I do not know how to cook. If it weren't for my wife, I would have starved by now. When my son was small, and my wife was sick, he would beg her to get better so he wouldn't have to eat my cooking, which he likened to rubber chicken.
But a few years ago, my wife's aunt gave us a 6 Quart NESCO COOKWELL roaster and voila! I can cook meals that even my son would enjoy.
This is probably the gift for anyone living on their own for the first time, like a college student, since it is extremely easy to prepare and cook healthful, delicious meals EVERY TIME.
If you follow instructions in the enclosed recipe booklet, you can't make a bad meal! My favorite is the lemon pepper chicken with linguine.
The best part is that the COOKWELL roaster pan insert is removable, is used to serve the food and cleans up really easily. The electrical heating part never sees soap and water, since it only serves to surround the cookwell roasting pan insert with a "circle of heat".
This is not a crock pot, although you can set it up as such. Cooking times are usually 45 minutes to an hour and around 350 degrees.
EVERY student going away to college should have one of these. They are easily stored, cleaned and provide inexpensive and healthy meals. And even a lousy cook like myself becomes a gormet chef. You can use the recipes and instructions provided in the booklet that comes with the cookwell or if you are more experienced, like my wife, anything is possible. THIS IS A WINNER!

It runs on a small propane tank which was easy to install. The flame is a nice size and there are no sparks to worry about. There is enough heat to create a cozy atmosphere without being too hot. A very nice product. The shipping was very fast and when I contacted them about my vinyl cover not being included, they shipped it out to me in a timely manner.

(More customer reviews)This product worked exactly as I expected. Put batteries in, placed the probe in a 3 lb roast and put the roast in the oven. I set the remote to "Beef" - "Medium Rare". It said my target temperature was 135 and it was currenty at 57. I took the remote with me around the house and glanced at it every few minutes. The temperature gradually crept up over the course of an hour in cooking this roast. When it hit 125, I knew I could tell the family dinner was almost ready. The voice activation went off just under 135 "Your meal is almost ready" or something. The roast was PERFECT.

(More customer reviews)The smell of the roasting coffee is just the beginning of the great experience with this roaster. Easy to use and a snap to clean. I use a digital scale to measure the quantity going in (the volume measurements varies according to the beans, so do it by weight. Bravi instructions are 225 mg; No more No less.)The smoke during roasting is part of the process. Putting the roaster under my kitchen hood handles that. The most fun is having guests watch it happen. Most have never seen/heard (yes, you hear the bean cracking)coffee roasting. A conversation starter for sure! During the automatic cool down, the kitchen smells wonderful (the aromas seem to improve during cool-down). Then, get ready for a GREAT coffee experience. I set my digital roast level to 15, and get the right color for my taste. When grinding, I only grind enough for immediate use. Also, for some reason, the grounds of my home roasted beans seem to 'fluff up' about 20%, so I have to cut down the quantity of ground coffee I brew (usually I use 1.5-2 Tbs per cup) so the grounds don't expand beyond the filter (I use a drip machine). The dark rich brew and fresh taste from home roasting is unlike any other experience I've had with coffee. To help make sure your Bravi is ready to roast, you need to be sure you have cleaned up any beans and chaff from previous roastings. Clean the chaff collection pull-out dish to avoid smoke from burning. Also, brush off the surface under the bean collector bin. (If a bean is left under the bin, the Bravi may not sense it is closed and ready, and not start.)Great experience and I recommend the Bravi to anyone.

That being said - it is an excellent product, that seems well made, and works great.
One little aggrivation is that you don't get nearly enough lava rock with it - plan on buying another bag. That cost me a whole $6.00 more, so I'm still happy. I've had it running a few hours on a 5lb refillable bottle, and it seems like I didn't use much gas. I'd bet a 20 lb bottle would run a long time.
Again - check around before you buy one of these - they CAN be found cheaper other places. I believe [...] has them for $250.00

Here's what they fail to tell you. If you want foods to cook completely, you have to flip them over half way thru the cooking cycle. THAT INCLUDES PIZZA. Whaaa? Pizza will cook very fast in the New Wave but if you dont flip it, your dough can be undercooked or not cooked at all. The turkey in the ad is way too large for the NW oven. However what it does best is cook fast without heating up your house. Cleaning is a bit messy but not a big problem. Someone else complained the "glass dome" was too heavy....what glass dome? The New Wave Oven is made of modern/safe plastics. I like this product and recommend it to anyone who wants great meals with less fat.

HOWEVER EVEN THOUGH I give it five stars for being a fantastic extra portable oven
Nesco sends this item out in need of being pre-used before cooking in for the first time.
Had my son not used it the week before to make sausage and meatballs Christmas dinner would have been ruined!! AND my house would have reeked of burnt plastic!!! The initial odor was quite bad .
The oven took over 7 hrs. plugged in outside to burn off this odor. I have had toaster ovens, coffepots toasters, electric fry pans etc. and pulled them out of the box washed and used them instantly! Nesco would do well to burn the oven off on their own site. I called customer service and let "poor nice Hazel" have it....hopefully she will pass along my suggestion and get a promotion to boot!
Also, I have no garage and had it been a rainy day I would not have had a ventilated covered area to burn it off in. I do see another review where this was an issue for the man who bought it... if you read this I agree but I wish you had kept the oven its all up hill after burn off! YES it is true, they do state in the directions to run oven before using for the first time BUT this is inside the box. This could be a real deal breaker for someone who didn't open it up at least a day before they needed it!
Bottom line it is a fantastic product. Easy clean up & versatile can be used to cook & keep food warm, use indooror or on hot days why not cook outdoors , good looking , roomy, like having an extra oven only when you need it, and it even stores neatly within itself. Yes I can say it does what I need quite well!

I cooked a large prime rib in mine at Christmas and a large turkey at Thanksgiving and it was a life saver.
