How To Choose A Video Production Company For Your Business
Finding and hiring a video production company for your business can
be frustrating and risky for a small business owner, often having
to take a crash course in video technology and hoping for the best.
But by following these three considerations when choosing a video
producer, you can drastically increase the chances that your video
project will be responsive, visually stunning, and pay for itself
many times over.
1. Determine the size of the production company you need. Although
there are many factors that determine the cost of a video shoot (as
explained later), the first consideration for staying in budget is
the type and size of the production company. Large production
companies have multiple studios and sound stages, editing suites,
and a sizeable staff. These are the people that television stations
and Hollywood producers call on when they need a local production
for television, cable, or film. They are very experienced and
produce fantastic results, but a considerable price tag must
accompany such overhead. Often they are unable to service small
businesses because they cannot accommodate such small budgets, as
they'd usually have plenty of calls and projects from clients with
deep pockets keeping them busy. The next step down is a smaller,
full-time production company. Small and medium sized businesses are
the core of their clientèle, so they are compelled to keep a video
project as lean as possible, yet deliver the best possible quality
for the money being paid. These production companies may have a
small, single studio and editing suite, or they may work out of
their home studio and rent a sound stage when the project calls for
it. There may be one or two full time employees, and the rest are
contract crew on a per-project basis. This helps translate into
lower production costs for you. The final category of video
producers is part-time, weekend-only videographers. These producers
have a camera and a computer, and want to make some extra money on
their free time. They can often underbid anyone else in town,
because they already have their full time job and any extra money
on the side is fine with them. But their ability to understand
corporate, commercial, and broadcast needs are limited, and often
shows in the quality of their production...it just looks like
really good quality homemade video.
Choosing a medium-sized, full time production company will give you
the most bang for the buck. This is not to say that large companies
intentionally price themselves out of range for small businesses,
some may be very willing to work with you. It's just that a large
production house will probably not be as eager and excited to earn
your business for a $2000 project when they're used to getting
calls for $20,000 jobs on average. You don't need to directly
interrogate each company about the size of their business. Look at
their website and see examples of their clientsÂ…if they seem to
favor Fortune 500 companies, TV stations, and feature films, then
you can assume that they're a large production company. Or if you
see a 30,000 square foot facility with immaculate furnishings, you
can deduce that the price tag they give you will be sizeable.
2. Compare company demo reels to see who can give the best quality
for your budget. Once you've determined the size of the video
company to use, then it's time to compare demo reels among the
companies in your price range. One of the main factors that will
determine visual quality in the portfolios is the format the
project was shot on. Video technology changes drastically every 4-7
years, and what was broadcast quality 15 years ago with $50,000
cameras can be achieved with a $5000 HD camera today. The producer
should match the video format with what provides the best
noticeable quality for your budget.
There are many other factors that can determine the overall quality
of a video production, but choosing the format is the foundation
upon which many other costs are built upon. You have to ask
yourself, "Will spending X amount of additional dollars on a
higher-end format increase my response rate or accomplish my
objectives better?" If you're doing a TV spot, then quality is
critical for that first impression. For an employee training video,
immaculate image quality is probably not critical. That's why it is
the opinion of this author that the HD format offers the best
balance of quality and cost, for any type of video production. As
you watch the demo reels and portfolios of various production
companies, pay attention to not only the mere image quality, but
also the lighting, camera movements, and audio quality. One way to
practice this is while you're watching TV at home. Instead of
zipping past the commercials of the show you've tivo-ed, watch and
focus on the details of how national commercials are shot. Notice
the smooth diffused lighting, the track/dolly camera movements
(i.e., not much zooming!), and the deep contrast with vivid colors.
Even if your video project is not a commercial spot, you can train
your eye to notice quality by comparing it with the standard.
3. Consider the professionalism and business practices of the
company. After a budget is finalized, the producer should create a
treatment (blueprint for the video) upon which your contract will
be based. You should know ahead of time exactly what will be done,
what equipment will be used, what crew will be hired, and how each
scene will be storyboarded. Granted there is an element of
creativity that will vary and not necessarily translate directly
onto paper, but strive to have everything in writing so that there
are no misunderstandings or faulty expectations. Consider the
personality and professionalism of the salesman, the director, or
producer you are working with. Do you sense that he understands
your industry or is eager to learn about it? Does he provide
valuable input without being pushy or cocky? There should be a free
flow of input into the project from both sides, without any ego
problems. These traits may seem trivial, but video producers can be
a creative and finicky bunch that take their art very seriously. It
is paramount to have not only a creative team, but one who puts
your needs and goals above their own.
I highly recommend a software that can greatly improves the
effectiveness of your videos. This software called
easy video player

advantage of the social networks and help put steroid on your

Google Best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Practices
The four part of this article will concentrate on the link areas of
the off-page optimization for Google. I will review 5 essential
link areas.
Reciprocal linking does not have the effect it used to.
If you are asking for links right now, stop sending automated link
requests. Instead, focus on getting natural links from related
sites by using "link bait", in other words, content that is worth
linking to because of its value. When offered a link from partners,
make sure their page doesn't have more than 100 links already in
it, look for 20 links max when possible, and also that their site
is related to the theme of yours. At last, check that you are
getting traffic from the link, or drop it.
"Article swap" and "article partitioning".
Engage in "article swap" with link partners, and break articles in
parts to create a series of them for your visitors to follow
(partitioning). Include comments when applicable in all articles
(in a different color to distinguish, hint: blue) since it gives
visitors great commented content and overcomes duplicate content
penalties.
Your internal linking structure.
You want PageRank to be passed to your traffic pages, so avoid
absolute links to "About Us", "Privacy Policy", etc. Here the have
a good combination of absolute and relative links is a must. Use
absolute links within your content areas, not in you navigation.
The PageRank score is directly affected by this. The "run of site
links" filter includes internal pages now, so keep this in mind.
Also make sure you have a relative link to your home page from
every page. You should link to directories or portals that are
authoritative as far as your external links. Always use your
targeted keyword phrase for the anchor text. It is also wise to
vary your anchor text when linking to your internal pages, and it
always should match your unique phrase.
A few more words on PageRank.
Any PageRank of less than 4 is not counted by the algo. That
explains why Google shows much less back links for any domain than
other search engines. You need to gain good incoming related links,
not just any links. Again, the "less is more" concept could be
applied here as well. Few good quality links always out weight lots
of low quality unrelated links from other sites. Outgoing links are
viewed from a different angle, and are related to "the theme" of
your site. There is an optimal ratio between the quality vs. the
quantity in links. You need to get as many links from pages with a
high PageRank and a low number of total links in them.
Your link campaign goals.
Set yourself some achievable goals when it comes to links. Be
realistic, and try to get one link exchange, article swap,
directory submission, forum comment, etc. per day. Verify quality
of all links, and use the "no follow" link attribute or directly
remove all links from any site with 100 or more links on their page
that is not an authority site.
I highly recommend a plugin that improves the on page seo of your
website.

SECRET TO SEO AND TOP GOOGLE PLACEMENT
When does this Google madness end? Nobody knows. Everybody is on
board though trying to grab whatever piece of return they can from
Google Organic results. Hey, it's free, what else do you want? If
you are a business owner who has jumped into the online waters, I'm
sure that you are frustrated as hell hearing a million ideas and
million methods from a million people. And you also know that
there's no such thing as "free advertising" in our world, at least
not yet. So until then, you might want to keep on reading.
"The secret to SEO" This is a boring title basically because of the
fact that it sounds like a generic get rich theme that we,
Americans are subject to on a daily basis. So all you business
owners and work from homers must listen to me. THERE'S NO SECRET TO
SEO. It's very basic and I'm sure you have read this in a lot of
places; it's content. But many sources fail to mention that it has
to be relevant content. I tell each of my clients the same thing
and it has 3 major clauses;
1- Original Fresh Content
2- Popularity of your site
3- Maintenance
4- Existence
Original and Fresh Content is not as easy as it sounds. We are
talking about unique information that will move people to your
site. See, the problem with many companies showing up on the top
page today is that their pages are optimized for Google with a
combination of nonsense sentences and keywords. So, my approach is,
why not build a website that actually is optimized for humans? When
you do this, you are automatically taking care of the optimization
for Google. Come on people, we all know that Google has game and
they're increasing their technology every day finding ways to get
rid of this "optimization" deal. Google is always on the side of
the users and never the advertisers keep that in mind.
Guess what, once you have original and fresh content, people are
going to want to visit your site and link to your site. Hey, we
just took care of Popularity as well. I'm not saying you do not
have to work on the link exchange thing but I promise that it will
be minimal. Also you want to stay away from link farms, link
exchange offers and paying for links. So I hear that question, how
else am I going to bring links to my site? The answer is content.
Write articles, submit it to article sites. Prepare a PR, submit it
to Prweb.com. Believe me; all these will bring links to your site.
All you have to do is, mention your website at the end of these
articles and make sure you link to your site with your advertised
link text.
Now you are thinking, "That's it; I have the content and the links,
I'm the king of Google". That would be wrong. Always remember that
while you are doing content and popularity, there are a million
competitors doing that and more. So you want to Maintain your
content. You want to update it every week so every time Google
spiders come to visit your site, they find new useful information.
Keep up with daily life and updated news. For example, if you sell
farming supplies and the price of grain goes up, you should write
an article and put it in your site. Also publish those articles on
other articles sites. You can find these sites easily with a
"article submit" search on Google.
And the last but not least would be Existence. I don't want to get
all philosophical on you but you have to have some type of
existence online. Try to search for your company name on Google and
see how many results you get; that's your existence. You could also
name this one "Brand Recognition". You want to increase that so
when somebody searches for farming supplies, they must see your
name. You can do this easily by writing articles and Press Releases
on a weekly basis. The more you write, the more circulation you
will get. If you have a great piece of article or information,
acquire a list of media outlets such as local and national
newspapers, and fax it to them. They just might bite pick it up.
Always remember to include your website at the end as a source and
you might have yourself a million dollar makin', traffic gettin'
website, Google top rankin' website !!!
I highly recommend a plugin that improves the on page seo of your
website.

Video To Increase Trust and increase your sales
Everyday consumers commonly think of online businesses as high
technology enterprises. While there are indeed some websites that
deal in high tech merchandise, most vendor websites trade mostly
mundane materials like clothes, beddings and linen and other
ordinary stuff we use in our daily lives. With common enterprises
like these, the website is only another selling point for their
inventory. What will be mostly displayed in these websites are
pictures and short text descriptions of products. On the other
hand, vendors that deal with high tech materials design their
websites in such a way that it reflects the level of technology
they work with.
In the eyes of a common consumer, websites that do not exhibit high
technology design are probably failing or disreputable. When
browsing consumers find your website somewhat lacking in style and
technology, looking for another website that will satisfy their
expectations is highly probable.
While it would be considered crass and distasteful to make your
website look like the command center of the starship Enterprise, a
few smatterings of high tech applications can give your website
design reputation a good boost. In the beginning days of the
internet, people tried to make their websites attractive by using
lots of blinking and animated pictures in their websites. As
website design matured, a more professional and modern feel
gradually took over the blinking internet kaleidoscope world.
Today, website design is usually patterned or themed after the
owner's profession or business. Simple but tasteful and
professionally elegant are now the norm in designing websites.
However, this norm, like technology, is fast becoming obsolete.
As internet availability, data transmission speeds and bandwidths
increase, the more options people have for designing a web site. In
the beginnings of video streaming, video vendor sites were those
that usually contained audio-video streaming capabilities. They
used video clips or trailers of a movie to entice a customer to buy
the whole video. Today, almost all vendors of video and audio have
portions in their websites reserved for viewing movie trailers and
listening to audio teasers.
Of course, it would be a mistake to discount or limit the use of
video streaming to video and audio websites. Common vendor sites
like Amazon.com can surely use video streaming to further enhance
the shopping experience of a customer. After all, a customer would
like to see the merchandise before she actually makes a purchase.
Video streaming provides this specific aid to both vendor and
consumer. Aside from viewing videos of the product from different
camera angles, a short demonstration of the product can be included
in the video just like they do in TV shopping channels.
Outside of video specific and trade merchandising businesses, video
and audio streaming is also useful when it comes to other
industries such as medical transcription, online education, medical
facilities and personnel interconnectivity, online tutorials and
instructional modules recorded in video format.
Most importantly, the spread of internet video streaming usage
signals an advance in technology. With advances and discoveries,
opportunities for new ideas and enterprises abound.
While it is great to have new technology available to, we need to
put it to good use for it to be beneficial to us. In the case of
websites with video streaming, the customer is assured that the
products they sell are workable and crafted with quality. As
internet shopping becomes more and more popular, vendor websites
will have to see to it that they provide their customers a good
look at their product.
These days you can also place your videos on your own blogs
easily.

Creating Website Content In The Form Of How-to Video
Information is the basis of the internet. It can be in various
formats, from news, updates to commentary. Nowadays more and more
webmasters have realized the importance of providing useful
information on their websites. They start creating how-to articles
which are usually written in steps. They know that visitors love
articles which are written in such format. However, for some
people, writing articles is a tedious job. It may be easier and
more fun for them to create how-to videos. Moreover, there are many
people who prefer watching over reading.
When it comes to making a video, there are individuals who are
unsure what their video should be about. The good news is how-to
video is one of the most easiest types of videos to make. Just be
sure that each step is presented in the proper order so the viewers
will not be confused. If needed, add warning on safety, unusual
terms and some additional explanations on the video. Also do not
forget to let the viewers know what the project entails in the
introduction.
Before making your video, it is highly recommended to familiarize
yourself with the type of contents which are allowed by your web
hosting service. Most web hosting services prohibit their members
to publish videos containing violence or threatening materials. You
should be able to find the rules on the website of the hosting
provider that you are using.
Once you have determined what is acceptable video content and what
is not, you should be able to start developing ideas. Once again,
when it comes to making a how-to video, you will be showing
internet users how to do something. It should be related with the
topic of your website. Just create a how-to video on something that
you can explain in as little as a few minutes. For instance, you
may want to create a video about how to cook a particular food or
how to change your car's oil.
To do this, you will need a standard video recording device.
Camcorder is a device which is specially designed for recording
purposes. Webcam can also be used. However it is not easy to extend
the physical distance between your PC and web camera. Many
cellphones and digital cameras have video recording capabilities.
Just choose the one which also supports sound recording and enables
you to expand the memory.
Depending on the topic of your website, you may also create a
screen-captured video. This is accomplished by using a software
that enables you to record your desktop activity. For example, you
could create a "how to" video that teaches others to draw a car
using MS Paint in several minutes. Your visitors will feel that
they are sitting next to you and looking at your desktop. This is
another easy way to make how-to videos.
Another important thing to do is to convert your video so that it
can be viewed online without taking too much data transfer. Many
web hosting providers support video formats like Windows Media,
RealVideo and QuickTime. You may also choose to upload your video
to sites like YouTube and then use the special code given to embed
the video on your website.
Creating content for your website in the form of how-to video is a
great way to give your visitors something useful. Anyone can create
stunning videos, from multimedia tutorials and step-by-step
presentations. Nowadays people are starting to rely more heavily on
the internet. By providing useful tips with videos people will be
more likely to recommend you to others.
However these days you can also place your videos on your own blogs
easily.
There is a tool that can easily help you place your video on your
website. You can also get complementary

3 Tips To Help Your Online Video Marketing Beat The Competition
Got a new business product but don't know where to start? Video
marketing just might be for you. This article discusses video
marketing, its advantages and a short guide on how to make a video
perfect for any marketing campaign.
There are a lot of ways through which you can market your products
and your services. Among these methods, the most cost-effective
means is perhaps the internet. Through the internet, you can come
up with every marketing campaign possible. The internet is so
flexible and vast that with the right moves, it can help your
business become more popular and more prominent. That being said,
let me introduce you to the latest trend and possibly the most
effective of all online marketing strategies: video marketing.
--- Video Marketing ---
Video marketing just might be the hottest trend to date in the
marketing field. The time for telling through text marketing copy
has passed. Instead, it's now time for showing and demonstrating
through video clips.
If you're not that familiar with video marketing, there's
absolutely no need for you to worry. The internet provides a lot of
resources on how you can make your videos. You can learn about the
tools that you need to make videos and the techniques that can make
your videos work for marketing purposes. The following are some
tips on how you can make video marketing work for your
business.
1. Determine where to post your videos.
First of all, you have to know where you are going to post your
video marketing material. There are many choices available to you.
You can place your video in your website for more interesting site
content. You can also post video clips in online communities and
blogs. Of course, you should not neglect to post videos in video
blogging sites like YouTube.
2. Determine the video content.
The prior step will help a long way in determining the content of
your video marketing materials. As a general rule, your videos must
contain information that will build more interest in your business'
products and services. However, the actual and specific content
will have to vary, depending on where you're posting your
videos.
For instance, videos in your website can be much more product- or
service- oriented. Particularly, your videos can demonstrate how
effective your product or service is. Your videos in your site can
also be video testimonials from your customers. Moreover, they can
be video clips about your special promotions and special
updates.
Videos posted in online blogs should be more about updates, news
and special promotions. They should merely inform your viewers
about the latest news and induce your audience to click on the link
to your site for more details.
For video blogging sites like YouTube, your video should be less
product-oriented and more entertaining and creative. Your website
link can be provided with the video and your products can be
featured in them, but your videos must never be a simple sales
pitch. You're never going to be referred and reposted that way.
3. Identify your audience.
All along, you should keep your audience in mind. How old are your
intended consumers? Who are they and where do they come from? The
content of your video marketing materials will also heavily depend
on the demographics of your intended recipients.
After you have done all of the abovementioned steps, all you will
need to do is to make your videos and post them online. Of course,
you may have to engage the services of a video server for your
purposes.
However these days you can also place your videos on your own blogs
easily.

3 Main Reasons Why Video Advertising Is Becoming More Popular
Video advertising is the new way to get the message out about your
business, services or products. Here are the three main reasons why
video advertising is currently one of the most popular internet
marketing methods.
With increasing access to broadband connection, online video
streaming as a form of advertisement is becoming increasingly
popular. Different types of videos abound in the internet - video
emails, video instant messages, video broadcasts, and video
blogs.
The idea is to create videos that could put out effective
advertisements without alienating viewers who have not yet jumped
into the online advertisement viewing bandwagon. Internet video
blogging sites like YouTube get millions of hits a day so companies
are beginning to consider every possible way to get these people
who visit these video blogging sites to buy their products or avail
of their services.
There are a lot of reasons why video advertising is becoming
increasingly popular; here are some of these reasons.
Reason 1: Wide Coverage and Reach
With video advertising, you will be able to reach different people,
young or old, male or female. Your advertising will reach millions
of people, regardless of their age, sex, and race.
Thousands of websites generate interest from people worldwide.
People, especially the younger generation, are cutting off on their
other pursuits to give time to online social networks like MySpace
and YouTube. YouTube alone has millions of viewers daily.
This opens a whole worldwide market for every business. It is no
wonder why an estimated $400 million was spent for video
advertising in 2006 alone. This figure is expected to increase in
the coming years. With the majority of internet users preferring to
purchase products online, more and more videos are created each
year in response.
Reason 2: Videos Get the Message Across
Video messaging uses the audio-visual approach, so it's more
effective in getting any message across. People would generally
respond more to both visual and audio stimulation.
If your video captures your viewer's interest, you could expect a
call, an order, or a hit on your site. Scientifically, it has been
proven that the probability of people remembering any message is
higher if the message was received through both sight and
hearing.
Video messaging is a form of a personal communication to your
target market. You can create all kinds of videos and send them via
email or post them on your websites. You can create video instant
messages, emails or blogs. It depends on what form of video
marketing would be most effective for you.
Reason 3: Relatively Inexpensive
Online video advertising is not expensive. It is cheap yet it
works. It means good business and more profit. It is cheaper than
print ads or TV ads. You spend little for the worldwide market. You
don't need to have millions of dollars just so you can launch an
effective and competitive video advertisement. This levels the
playing field for home-based e-business owners like you.
Virtually all kinds of businesses can create their own online video
advertisements, upload these videos on YouTube, and embed the
streams into their own websites. In an instant, without even paying
for a million dollar worth of video ad, small businesses can have
video streaming and market to millions of users worldwide.
However these days you can also place your videos on your own blogs
easily.
There is a tool that can easily help you place your video on your
website. You can also get complementary

Why Do I Need Video and/or Audio On My Website?
Bottom Line: If your website and emails are silent, you're leaving
money on the table! Its that simple.
More and more online marketers and business owners are seeing the
light and recognizing the tremendous benefits of incorporating
multimedia into their online marketing strategy. It's a proven fact
that multimedia more easily and effectively captivates your
audience and grab's the attention of your prospects, visitors,
subscribers and customers. Time and time again research has shown
that using multimedia in the form of video and/or audio
advertisements increases conversation rates, buy rates as well as
subscription rates for a product or service.
If studies consistently show the advantage of incorporating
multimedia into your online marketing campaign, then those who have
not yet added multimedia to their advertising need to seriously
rethink and reinvent their marketing strategy.
"As traditional banner ads continue to decline in their
effectiveness...leading companies..[will turn] to streaming media
to juice up their online advertising. These initial trials are just
the beginning of what industry experts believe will be a huge
market...Streaming media has a 70% response rate for content, a 60%
response rate for advertising information, and a 49% "buy" rate for
online merchandise. (Source: Hostcentric Streaming Media: Industry
Outlook)."
When you look at the above statistics put together by leading
authorities, can you really afford not to jump at the chance to use
Multimedia as an advertising strategy?
Look at it this way, without Video and/or Audio your site appears
static to the visitor and after seeing hundreds of these types of
sites, your customer becomes desensitized which is why sales
conversion rates have systematically dropped over the last couple
of years all over the Internet.
Savvy Internet Marketers know this and have already seen the light.
You'll notice that many of these "Gurus" are lending voice to their
sales copy in an effort to increase their conversion rate and many
have incorporated video into their marketing. In essence, they are
re-inventing themselves, recognizing the tremendous power and
benefits inherent in multimedia and using it to captivate their
intended audience and to convert prospects into subscribers and
customers.
Think about it...you can convince your prospect to buy your product
or service or subscribe to your ezine or newsletter much more
easily with a 3 minute video as opposed to a long winded sales page
that doesn't convey your passion for your product, service or
publication. The human voice has the power to influence, motivate,
and persuade prospects to take action with much less resistence and
reluctance.
These days there are scams all over the Internet and as a result
people are very skeptical of many sites and ultimately the "online"
business owners behind these websites. By using multimedia in the
form of video and audio messages, you leave visitors with the
impression that you are a "real" business and someone they CAN
trust.
By using multimedia, you can also communicate better with people,
specifically prospective customers, allowing you to get your point
across much easier which all leads to one end result- MORE
SALES!
There are many others benefits to speak of which include the
following:
1. Explain selling-points much more easily and clearly to captivate
your potential buyer.
2. Describe your product or service and the benefits of using it
clearly and concisely.
3. Video and Audio conveys PROFESSIONALISM and most importantly it
provides you with something that is essential in any business-
CREDIBILITY. With credibility, you can sell more of your product or
service, build that sacred opt-in list much more quickly and
convince visitors to click on a link to an affiliate program you
are advertising.
Therefore, as an increasing number of online business owners and
marketers recognize the competitive advantages of multimedia and
its power as a communication vehicle, multimedia content will
become an integral part of the web experience.
Again, the question asked is "Why do I need Video and Audio on my
Website?"
The simple answer: Multimedia is quickly becoming a necessity to
the sustainability and future of online businesses. Very soon, all
online business owners and marketers without exception will need to
incorporate multimedia into their marketing strategies to maintain
the continued existence of their online presence.
