Question by sailorboy: How can i reduce the cost
of ink for my printer?
I am spending about $ 130.00 a year for ink for my HP
three-in-one. Is there as simple printer that has a lower
operational cost?
Best answer:
Answer by Chris CDepending on what you are printing I would reduce the ‘quality’ output of your printouts unless you really need the good quality, most printouts will end up in the bin anyway. Or if you are spending that much I’m guessing you are printing color prints too. I would maybe invest in a Color LaserJet printer, bigger inital cost, but you may save more in the long term.

Question by Nikki Inakura: How do you remove
metallic paint pen ink off of a backpack?
Okay, so I decorated my boring old black backpack with a metallic
paint pen [color's silver] because I honestly hated how dull it
looked and I was thinking of giving it a good wash to start anew
or something but instead of wetting it to the bone, I was
wondering if there was another alternative to removing the ink?
Any suggestions or help? Much thanks! <3

Question by Megan: Is it okay if my printer uses ink from a different brand?
I had an HP printer that recently broke so I bought a Canon
printer. Well, I have some new, unopened ink for my HP printer I
never got a chance to use (the kind is black ink called HP 74 and
color ink called HP 75) and the Canon Printer takes Canon
PG-210XL Cartridge for black ink and Canon CL-211 XL Cartridge
for color. Would it hurt my Canon printer if I just used the HP
ink cartridges instead or should I stick to Canon ink only for my
Canon printer? Didn’t know if it would hurt if I used another
brands ink cartridges instead.

Question by npontello12: How long will my
ink cartridge last me?
I plan on making a multitude of copies. Like 100 copies of a 5-6
page packet. And I plan on doing this monthly. My printer can make copies at my own expense
of ink, paper, and time. Or, I can pay a store such as the UPS
store to do it for me. I just want to know what would be
cheaper.
A six page packet cost $ 32 black and white at the UPS store.
Does anyone know, roughly, how many pages of text and a few
pictures I could get out of an inkjet black ink cartridge. Much
appreciated.
Best answer:
Answer by f100_supersabreThat depends on the printer, the
ink cartridge, and the printer settings for print quality.
When figuring the cost, don’t forget to include the cost of YOUR
time!!!
For the cost of about 4 packets, you could BUY a B&W laser
printer and eliminate the inkjet altogether!!
I don’t know where YOU live, but around here where I live, copies are from 3 to 5 CENTS a page, including collating and stapleing!!

Question by prettyinpink13: How do you remove
ink stains?
I have a very pretty floral bag that got ink spilled over by some
jerk. Is there a way i can clean the stain without smearing or
enlarging it? Like some kind of instant detergent like Tide to Go
but for ink stains?
Best answer:
Answer by DianaYou can soak it in some soap diluted in water and slowly start pressing the ink out. When the water is full of ink, repeat the procedure.

Question by tbennett1913: How do I keep
ink from smearing on inkjet cling
paper?
I bought some inkjet cling paper to make decals for my macbook.
The designs came out great, and I let them dry overnight, but the
ink smears when I handling the decals. Is there anyway to prevent
that? is the type of ink I am using the problem?
Best answer:
Answer by TPiddyThe warmth from your fingers heats up the ink and that’s typically what causes the smearing. You just need better quality ink or paper.
Try http://www.stickeryou.com if you want to make stickers or decals out of your designs. They’re printed on removable vinyl with a proper printer.

Question by Bett: What ink pads are the best for stamping on
fabric?
which brands are best and where can I buy them cheapest online or
in the uk? I want to use ink stamps on cotton to make bags.
Best answer:
Answer by riversconfluenceYou would want to use a ink or paint that is designed for fabric. Regular ink can run, smear, or not be washable.
A fabric ink pad is sold. I personally have never seen one, not ever having inked fabric.
I will refer you to Martha Stewart.com website, I got there and typed “inked fabrics” into the site brower, and got several how to projects like linens for the table, and tee shirts. Martha may have where to get the ink from. She usually does.
