The chocolates were not-so-great(the coconut flavor tasted manufactured) and I have to say now, after the excitement of seeing my boyfriend's happily-surprised face has worn off, that I am less than pleased with the product. I threw the salmon away, and there weren't even enough crackers for one of the cheeses included. Although it's a nice gesture to send to family and friends an assortment of cheeses and such, I'd look elsewhere in the future. Not worth the price.

(More customer reviews)i've been stuck in the hospital a lot this year and it's meant a lot of the clear liquid diet. This broth is what's getting me through. It's tasty all on its own. When i'm at home and I have to drink clear liquids, the other veggie broths don't have such a rich flavor and suddenly I feel deprived and miserable. So, I decided to get crazy and just spend the $50 on a truly delicious broth so I no longer have to suffer through cup after cup of blandness when i'm ill. I also plan to try it as a base for my potato leek soup and I bet it's hands down the best batch I've ever made. And it comes, already perfectly seasoned, in packet. So awesome.
p.s. It is on the salty side but I am generally not a salt lover and this is a good saltiness. I almost never salt anything. So if you hear it's salty...take it with a grain of salt. Yeah, I said it. (I'm in the hospital ordering tons of broth packets and writing lengthy reviews of my love for it, I needed that joke. Aah how I laughed.)
p.p.s. I think it's a little better if you add about 1.3 of the recommended amout per cup of water.

* Our dog loves the taste and these are a medium reward treat for him (better than kibble, not as good as steak, say).
* They are small and easy to tear into smaller pieces so we don't overfeed our dog.
* They are moist, but not messy, so don't get our hands dirty.
* The ingredient is list short, so they don't trigger our dog's food sensitivities.
The only change that would make them even better is if the standard size were half -- although easy to tear into smaller parts, it would be nice if they were already smaller.

(More customer reviews)Well..this is the third time I've tried to review this, so lets cross some fingers...and actually 'copy' this before I hit send this time..heh.
I've been using this product for probably a good 8 years now. Slowly improving on my marinade for my steaks as I get older. My steaks have gone from "hey I'm young lets throw all kinds of stuff and also beer on it" to "people roll their eyes back in ecstasy when they eat my steaks"...with some help from this seasoning (as well as some other ingredients).
I've used this on burgers, and even in my spaghetti sometimes. All in all, it's just a great blend of spices to quickly throw in some marinade or just throw on the meat while it's being cooked.
I never thought I would actually review this, but right now I'm in Iraq, and we grill up some steaks once a week. The BX/PX sells frozen steaks and charcoal and we found an old barrel grill out back our work compound. We use sauces from the chow hall for seasoning. But I was fiending for more of a little kick, so I thought..hmmm..maybe Amazon has some McCormicks. Well what do you know...they do. You gotta love Amazon sometimes..lol. So I ordered it and it got here to Iraq in a week. Used it once already (as well as about 6 other people) for steaks AND burgers.
Yummmmmmmmmy.

I bought some soup bases a few years ago and especially liked the clam and mushroom bases. Unfortunately, the manufacturer sent me a promo postcard years later offering free shipping and cheaper prices if I ordered directly so I ordered a bunch and the only tolerable one was the low sodium chicken. This mushroom base is useless and you will taste acrid saltiness before you ever taste mushroom. I use it in lieu of salt (with the bonus of an msg quality) in oatmeal, teff flour, ground beef and ginger pieces for a not quite Cream of Mushroom Soup stand-in.
