Sucker Punch Is An Action Packed Film Where The Only Reality Is In Your Mind

Sucker punch is a new fantasy movie that IMAX is bringing out in March; it is about a girl who has everything taken away from her in the blink of an eye. Her mom died in the most sensitive time of her teenage years leaving her with a step father who was cruel to her at any chance that he could get. This pushed this poor girl into a world that would be anything but normal. What would you do if you had lost everything that you ever had, including your mind?

After enduring the worst abuse a person could go through in the sucker punch movie, Babydoll closed herself off from the world by locking herself in her own mind. Things just got worse for her when her step father had her locked up in a Vermont asylum/brothel and this just sends her over the edge and she closed herself off completely with no escape from her pain. In the beginning this place was no better than her old world. The inmates were forced to take on johns and do the unspeakable.

She could no longer manage in reality and her mind took her to a fantasy world where anything was possible. She met some good friends in there and together the five of them could live in this parallel reality universe in their minds. Their plan was to try to escape into their own imaginations to empower themselves for a way of escaping the hellish real world that they were in. The fantasy worlds were made up to look like a video game and had different segments where they could battle bosses. Take a look on youtube to have another information.

In order for escape they need to conquer in five worlds: the first being one that is like a sailor moon/Saturn world, dungeons and dragons world, sci-fi world with robots, samurai/demon world and the final world was a World War I world of battles. On their journey through the worlds they would have to collect weapons to fight the bosses and try to kill them off individually; the idea of it all is to survive each world to the end and survive back into the real world and escape.

With the help from a mentor that the girls met on their journey they receive some advice on what they need to do to help them make it to freedom. In each world where they have to fight they will be given an item to make it happen. First is a map, then fire, a knife that will cut through the robots, a key and in the last world it is a mystery. Sucker punch is coming to theatres March 25 2011. You have to go to it to appreciate it.
