I have a small, part time photography business that I'm working on making full time. I especially love to do portraits. They are the most difficult pictures to take, but also the most rewarding. When you capture that "spark" of a person with a camera it creates a true picture of them.
Animal photography is my next venture and I love to practice on my own furry models!
Babies change so fast! One minute they're a newborn and the next a
toddler exploring their world. Digital cameras and cell phone
cameras have made it so easy for us to take pictures on the run and
catch those day to day pictures. Sometimes we do want to do a posed
portrait of our babies, maybe to commemorate a holiday or birthday.
There are lots of baby photo ideas for some really cute portraits.
Here are a few that you might want to try next time you want to do
a "formal" portrait instead of a snapshot, maybe for your holiday
cards or a birth announcement?

Learning how to pose a model to get a great picture can be tough.
Getting a static pose to look "unposed" is the key for portrait
photography, fashion or ad photography, any type of photography
that includes the human form. The pose your models take will make
the difference between a good or great picture and a photobomb. It
takes practice and study to know what poses will work in different
situations and sometimes you just get plain lucky. So always be
prepared for the shot you didn't expect, it might be the one that
makes the whole shoot!

way in helping to create a true picture of your subject. A portrait
is probably the most rewarding and difficult picture to create.
Capturing that spark that makes someone unique can be so
challenging, but also what makes them such rewarding photos to work
on. Different techniques can be used to set a subject at ease and
get them engaged as well as bring out their own personal spark.

In my last article on photography tips and tricks we discussed some
new or different ways to approach a portrait. Portrait photography
can be the most difficult and the most rewarding type of
photography. Difficult because it is a portrait and you want to
have the subjects personality show. Most rewarding because when you
can get that to happen you have more than just a photo, you have a
portrait.

Whether you're a professional photography or an amateur like me one
of the most difficult shots to take is a portrait. Shooting a
portrait that captures the subject's personality is really an art.
Some of the best ones I've ever seen are portraits that break the
rule and step out of the box, not for the shock or "odd" value but
for the change of perspective that can often really portray your
subject in a different light that let's their individuality show.
Here are some portrait photography tips and tricks I've used in the
past to take great portraits.
