On another Forum the following was reported:
I noticed an improvement in eyesight when I started taking 2-3
tbs. of extra virgin coconut oil per day. As soon as I slacked
off in taking the coconut oil, the eyesight went back to the
way it was. Has anyone else noticed improved vision? Mine was
noticeably better when I realized I could read small print on
bottles.

Don't be mislead by the term "extra virgin" when used with coconut
oil.
This term is taken from the olive oil industry and there is no such
product or existing standard that can be applied to coconut oil
production.
If you see the term "extra virgin" be assured that it is just a
marketing ploy to encourage you to believe that the oil has
something more to offer than virgin coconut oil.
Now you know!

When coconut oil is cooled, it not only becomes solid but actually
quite hard.
Oil which has been refrigerated is quite hard and rather brittle.
After the coconut oil hardens the easiest way I have found to scoop
it out. You may need to scrape it little by little.
As the oil is scraped off it takes on a paste like consistency
which makes it easy to measure or to cream together with butter.

==========================
My dog has had furunculosis for years. Every autumn/winter when the
weather made the ground wet and muddy from rain and snow he's had
really bad furunculosis and has had to eat antibiotics a couple of
times each year.
It's better for a while but a week or two after medication is
stopped the problem is back. I felt horrible subjecting him to
constant doses of antibiotics like that.
I was reading up on bio virgin coconut oil to learn more on its
effect on Candida. I learnt that it had a good antibacterial effect
and that even animals benefited from this oil. So I started giving
my dog bio virgin coconut oil a couple of months ago and it only
took about a week before the blisters started fading and in about
two weeks he was completely healed. So far the furunculosis hasen't
returned despite heavy raining and lots of mud and wet grounds.
I've been giving him a large spoonful everyday. He loves it : )
Hope this can be of help to some other dog with furunculosis out
there!

I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my purchase.
I
opened the jar today for the first time, having just used up a
batch of coconut oil from another supplier, and I was immediately
struck by the difference. Definitively a superior product!
I'm very glad I decided to order from you.
