So having been tipped off that a gourmet marketplace had sprung up in Toluca Lake I dashed over to see sample its treats so I could report back to you. Toluca Lake is certainly an area that was ripe for a good food infusion and happily it has arrived in the form of Olive amp Thyme. It is a charming small market amp cafe that certainly owes its upscale farmhouse inspiration to Joans on Third. The large communal table, white beadboard shelves stocked w Valerie Chocolates, a couple of lines to get into... gives you a little deja vu that you are at Joans take heart, it is easier to park! I have not tasted everything yet I will dont worry but what I have had I liked. A good choice is the wooden plank w 3 salads of the day or a panini . It looks to me like the desserts, which are all made by Valerie confections are special.
