One of the most exciting things to
do in Blackburn, is to try out the Blackburn Ice Arena.
The Blackburn Ice Arena is
located in the heart of the town, and is easy accessible with
plenty of parking. If your not a fan of Ice Skating or have never
Skated before, why not try Ice Skating lessons, which are available
at the Arena.
If your not a fan of Ice Skating but still want to visit the arena,
why not check out the
Blackburn
Hawks, the local Ice Hockey team. The season runs between
September and March, and tickets are as of writing this (2011)
£6.00 for adults and £3.00 for children, with a family ticket
costing £16.00.

There are many things to do in
Blackburn, but at the end of the day everyone has to
eat.
You will find a huge selection of takeaways in Blackburn, from
McDonalds to KFC to local takeaways too. You will find them dotted
up and down the main roads, and many of the bigger chains are
located in the centre of town.
McDonalds is one of the popular
takeaways in Blackburn, and is located on King Williams
Street in the heart of the town centre. You can also find Burger
King almost next to ASDA on the outskirts of town, near B and Q,
Blockbuster and the Ice Rink.

The Mall,
Blackburn is the newest addition to Blackburn's town centre
shopping experience. The Mall has a host of new shops, from
top high street names such as Primark, Next and Marks and
Spencer.
As a resident of Blackburn,
The Mall really does have it all. You can shop, have a coffee and
eat all under one roof.
The Mall will also have the
brand new Blackburn Market on the lower floor, and this should open
in late 2011. The old Blackburn Market which is located just across
the road, will be demolished. The brand new market should add an
extra experience to Blackburn, and will open up a host of new shops
which will sell local produce.

One of the great places to visit in
Blackburn is Witton Park.
This public park, is open woodland and parkland and is open all
year round. At many times of the year, Witton Park hosts many
events, including Bonfire Night and the Arts in the Park event.
In previous years, the Arts in the Park has attracted famous faces
such as Liberty X and the world renowned Rolf Harris.
Witton Park has a number of things
to do. You can take a look at the visitors centre, which
houses a number of things such as animals for children to see. The
park is also the location of the Witton Park High School, and in
2011 the brand new Witton Park High School is now being built.
You can visit Witton Park anytime
of the year, and you will find many other things to do also.
From a variety of walks, to wildlife and a History Centre, Witton
Park is a great day out for all the family.

attractions in the area. For instance,
Witton Park, is one of the largest and
most popular woodland and parkland parks in the area. Packed full
of fun things to do and see, including small animals for the
children to see, and also a visitors centre.
Witton Park also has also hosted a
couple of large events, attracting famous famous such as Rolf
Harris and Liberty X.
