Now that it has lived in my closet for several years and bills have piled up so I need to sell it. I recently had one of the switches re-wired so that in the first position over rides the volume and tone so that they are on 10, the second position allow you to control the volume only, and the third position allows full control. If you receive the guitar and you don’t like the configuration it is very inexpensive to have it wired back to the original diagram. Everything on the guitar is original and it functions like it is brand new. It saw literally 3 performances so it does have some very minor buckle rash which does not effect the playability at all. Info:  This is a Japanese crafted Fender brand 50’s series from the 90’s,  it has features of the 1950 American made Stratocasters.  The neck is a soft V, vintage bridge pieces, tuners, the great deep cut contour, and upgraded electronics with CTS 250K pots, and USA Fender Custom Shop Fat 50’s pickups. It sounds, looks, and plays great.  This is NOT a pristine instrument, it has multiple dings all over, because it’s a working musicians guitar.  I tried to shoot some of the dings in the pictures but they don’t show because they’re not thru the paint.  The body is light and craftmanship is comparable to USA made.  Tone Quest Report–THE bible for guitar tone highly rates these guitars as a great basis for upgrades, as this one has been done–check it out on the internet. 
There is some fret wear but does affect the playability of this great instrument.  Comes with a Fender brand gig bag that is in very good condition.  Don’t BID if you a person that “catches” buyer’s remorse, because there is no return.  The neck is good and straight—I have this exact neck on 2 other guitars–both USA made guitars.  It has the spagetti Fender Logo and the round button string retainer.  I paid $115 for the pickups and they are a great complement to the rest of the guitar–the perfect upgrade with the electronics.  Look at the side view 3rd picture for the deep contour cut view.  Very similar to the Eric Johnson at a fourth of the price!  Don’t miss it if you want a solid, great looking and sounding player.  NO foreign buyers DON’T waste time asking, 48 USA continental states only.  Foreign bidders will be rejected.  Ask questions if you need more info.  Notice that it’s a 5 day auction, check my feedback and don’t bid if you’re foreign or have negative or low (under 5) feedback.  I took the pictures before I notice that I left two of the knobs off, but they will be included, I’m too lazy to re-shoot and upload.  I also will have a professional shipper to package this guitar to insure that it’s done right.  This will have a fresh new set of Ernie Ball 10-46 Regular Slinky strings.  I have it for sale locally, so I reserve the right to cancel the auction if I sell it here.

Info:  2002 Limited Run Team Built Custom Shop Esquire in rare Daphne Blue. This guitar is a one off model from a Custom Shop run following the Winter 2002 NAMM Show. It has an extremely resonant two piece ash body, thin nitro finish, and weighs in at a light 7.2 lbs. The one piece maple neck is figured, tinted, and flamed maple, with a medium, somewhat chunky U shape, 9.5 radius with vintage frets…a killer combination.The single coil pickup is a Broadcaster Nocaster and it screams. Switching is custom wired 3 position, with a great range of tones available. Bridge is vintage style with 3 brass saddles. This is a super rare and wonderful playing Esquire. This guitar is one of the cleanest, sweetest sounding instruments I have ever played. I used this guitar for two recording sessions we needed a beautiful bell like tone to accompany acoustic piano. Info:  This is one hell of an ax!!! It is very well intonated and very acoustic. It has great sustain even when not plugged in. ounce in a while a strat comes along that plays so well and has such a great vibe about it you hate to get rid of it. But its the business i’llm in. This 60’s strat realy looks like it was made in the 60’s It’s  finish is a worn alpine white. It even has cracks in the paint. The pick guard is faded to yellow wish green. It has a “c” shaped worn neck. the fret board is a worn rose wood. With no fret ware. All the parts including trem, tunning pegs,and string tree look there age. Some strats are just a cut above, and this one is. You will love this axe. Great vibe great Srat.
