Do you remember when you first bought your new computer and how fast it was processing things? Everything was great and your programs loaded quickly without any problems. Fast forward a year or two later, when things are loading much slower than they did when your computer was brand new. Simple tasks that only took seconds a year ago now take minutes. What has caused your computer’s processor to slow down?
As time goes by and the more you use your computer, the more files and programs are installed or downloaded onto your computer. For your computer to function, the Windows registry is responsible for making sure your computer starts up and runs smoothly. After a while, your computer slows because the computer’s registry or brain is filled with files that are necessary for proper operation but also with files that aren’t necessary for you computer to operate properly. How do you take care of your computer to ensure it runs as well as possible? Clean you computer with a registry cleaner.
A registry cleaner is a utility software program that cleans or removes files from your computer’s registry. It is designed to optimize your computer’s registry files so your computer’s overall performance is improved. There are many registry cleaner programs available for purchase along with plenty of free registry cleaners available for download on the Internet.
Registry cleaners are designed to remove or reformat any registry information on your computer’s registry that might be unnecessary or registry information that is no longer valid because those programs are no longer in use. When these file and programs are removed from you computer’s registry, it allows your computer to perform its regular tasks at a faster rate than before because there are less files for it to process at start up or during operation.
The biggest question about using registry cleaners is whether or not to buy a program online or download free registry cleaners from the Internet. I always say you get what you pay for. Just because something is free, doesn’t mean it is going to work just like store bought product. Buying registry cleaners from a store has many benefits for your computer.
Store bought registry cleaners will scan your computers files more quickly and detect more errors on the registry than free registry cleaners will. Store bought registry cleaners also have an automatic back up feature which can be used as a restore point if something were to happen and you needed to restore your computer. Some other benefits of purchasing your registry cleaners are: they have more advanced programming and tools to help repair your computer and they also offer scheduling so you can fully automate your registry cleaning compared to free registry cleaners.
The best reason to buy a registry cleaning program is because of provided technical support. Many free registry cleaners do not offer any type of technical support and there is always a chance you might need some assistance if you have problems cleaning your registry.
Deciding on which registry cleaner to buy can be difficult. For a look at one of the better registry cleaners around, check out this indepth review of Registry Fix.

Registry Fix does not offer much in the way of advanced features. It includes 3 advanced features, which are:
The browser helper manager allows you to disable and remove Internet Explorer related problems, like spyware toolbars that you installed (or that was installed by a malicious worm). This is very helpful if you have any Internet related problems, because most Internet Explorer errors are due to spyware or malicious plugins. And, because of the insecurity associated with Internet Explorer, it can be very easy to get infected by one of these malicious programs.
The second tool, the startup program manager, is a tool that you can use to enable or disable programs that automatically run at Windows startup. This is especially handy if you have annoying programs that keep popping up whenever you restart your computer. Some spyware are also loaded on startup, and you can use this tool to disable all of these programs.
Finally, the add/remove program manager allows you to remove programs from your add/remove control panel menu. This means that you can remove programs that were left behind when you accidentally deleted a program directory, without uninstalling it using the Windows uninstaller.
In keeping with its overall theme, the advanced features included in Registry Fix are not its strong suite. While the Browser Helper Manager is a very useful tool, and the Add/Remove program manager does help you deal with an annoying problem, the complete package is not nearly what you can get in other, more expensive tools.
This can be either a good or a bad thing. If you are an expert user, the lack of advanced features will probably make it more difficult for you. On the other hand, if you are more of a beginner computer user, this is perfect, because Registry Fix focuses on fixing your registry, and does not distract you with tools that you would never use.
Registry safety, help & support star rating: 3/5 - Not a very comprehensive suite of advanced tools, and may leave you wanting more if you are an expert

The safety functionality included in a registry clean program is very important. Because you are working with a very sensitive area of your computer, it is very easy to inadvertently damage you Windows installation. In the worst cases, this may cause loss of data, and require you to reinstall Windows and all of your applications.
It is because of this reason that I always recommend that people use professional quality registry cleaners, and not try to clean their registry by hand (or use a free registry cleaner that comes without any type of support if anything goes wrong). In this part of the Registry Fix review, we’ll look at what Registry Fix provides in terms of backup and help and support.
The most important safety feature is backup of the registry. Registry Fix allows you to make a full backup of your registry, and allows you to restore the backup if something went wrong. I found the functionality to make and restore a backup very easy to use, which is to be expected considering the simplicity of the rest of the application. What I would have liked is the ability to make an automatic backup before it did any error fixing. Without this ability, you need to remember to make a backup before every scan and repair.
The help provided by Registry Fix leaves a lot to be desired. While all of the options are explained, I would have liked a more comprehensive tutorial or guide on exactly how to start, what options to pick, and exactly what each of the options mean. Luckily, Registry Fix provides live chat facility which you can use if you have any questions or problems. I found them generally responsive and helpful.
Registry Fix has the most important safety element that in my
mind no registry cleaner should be without, namely registry
backup and restore functionality.
While I would have liked the ability to do automatic backup and
restore, it is not that big of a problem if you just remember to
do a backup before you do any major repairing. The lack of a
comprehensive help function is made up for by the free live chat
support, which should be enough for anything but the biggest
problems.
Registry safety, help & support star rating: 3.5/5 - Poor help documentation made up for by free live chat support

The main feature of any registry repair utility is obviously its ability to scan for errors in the registry, and then to fix those errors. A registry cleaner should also be able to fix various other errors on your Windows PC, such as missing DLL’s and random error messages.
Registry Fix provides the ability to scan for errors (using the free or paid version), as well as to fix the errors that it has found (using the paid version). It also provides advanced features, but these are discussed in the Registry Fix Review: Advanced Features section.
As you can see from the above screenshot, Registry Fix allows you to select several sections and specific problems that you would like to search for. You can specify whether or not you want to scan the whole Windows registry, or only certain areas.
This allows you to focus the scan if you suspect that you have a specific problem with one of the areas of your computer. What I found is that it is best to leave all of the options checked, allowing you to scan for problems across your whole computer.
After Registry Fix has scanned your computer for errors, it provides you with a list of all of the errors that it has found. The main problem that I had with this list is that it does not indicate how severe the problem it, and what exactly the cause of the problem is.
This is an important omission, especially if you are an expert computer user and want to know what changes the registry repair is going to make to your computer. If you are a beginner computer user, this may be beneficial, because it doesn’t overload you with information that you do not care about.
In terms of the registry scan and fix features, Registry Fix does the job of scanning and fixing registry errors. It provides several options on exactly what you want to scan for, allowing you to focus on fixing a specific problem.
On the other hand, the reporting of errors is somewhat lacking. It does not explain the severity of the errors, and whether or not it would advise you to fix them. This can be a problem, especially if you are an expert user who wants to see exactly what is wrong with your computer.
Registry scan & fix features star rating: 3.5/5 - Comprehensive scan, hampered by slow speed and not as comprehensive error reporting

If you have Microsoft Windows installed on your computer, and you are experiencing frequent system errors and slow performance, then this article is for you. In this article I will discuss exactly what you need to know about using a registry fix program to scan & fix registry problems. The 3 main points that I will look at are:
By reading this article, you will gain a clear understanding of what the registry is, and how you can go about cleaning it to increase the performance of your computer by a significant amount.
The Windows registry is a large database in which most of the applications on your computer store their configuration information. This means that it contains information on a large range of diverse applications, developed by different companies with different levels of quality. Because of this, the registry can become cluttered very quickly. This may lead to a slowdown in your computer’s performance, because as the registry gets larger, all of the applications on your computer take more and more time to read their information from the registry. Now that you know about the problem with the Windows registry, lets look at the solution: a registry fix program.
A registry fix program is an application that is specially designed to remove unneeded information from the registry. It accomplishes this by scanning the registry for bad or unneeded entries (such as entries left by uninstalled applications). It then allows you to remove these unneeded entries from the registry, which can significantly increase the performance of your computer. But, you may ask yourself, why do you need a registry cleaner? Why not just remove the unneeded entries yourself?
You may ask yourself why you need to buy a registry cleaner, why you cannot just clean out the registry by yourself. While it is possible to go into the registry and delete entries yourself, it is HIGHLY recommended that you do not try this. If you do not know what you are doing, it can be very dangerous to remove entries from the registry, and you might end up breaking something that can be very difficult to fix. I would go as far as to say that if you do not use a registry fix program, you should rather just make peace with the slow performance of your computer, rather than do irreversable damage to your computer by trying to fix it yourself.
Now that you know about the registry and how to speed up your computer by using a registry fix program, you’ll probably see the topic in a whole new light. Specifically, you should now have a better idea about what the Windows registry is, why you need a registry fix program if you are worried about the performance of your computer, and why you should NEVER try to repair your registry on your own.
So, if your computer is slower than you would like, remember that you can increase its performance by using a registry fix program.

The Windows Registry is like a database
The Windows registry is used by Windows to stores information regarding the configuration of the system and the applications that you have installed. In this article I will discuss when, why and how you can keep your Windows registry in good shape. After reading this, you should have a much better understanding of the Windows registry, and how you can keep your computer in top shape!
Regular maintenance of the Windows registry is very important. It is much easier to prevent problems by way of regular maintenance than it is to fix problems after they have occurred. When you leave your Windows registry to become corrupted and bloated, it can lead to slow performance and crashes (like that dreaded blue screen of death you keep seeing).
Let’s look at a few criteria that you can use to determine whether you need to fix your registry:
If any of these criteria sound like you, then you must definitely look into repairing your registry. All of the above leave behind entries in the registry, and over time they can lead to all sorts of problems (both performance and errors).
BUT, before you just go into your registry and start removing entries left and right, please read the following section:
That’s it. I hope you have learned something in this article. At the very least, you should now know a bit more about why regular maintenance of the registry is important, and when, why and how you should fix your registry.

Most Microsoft Windows computers have problems with their registries. These problems can lead to frequent restarting and crashes, as well as to slow performance, slow startup and slow shutdown.
Luckily, Microsoft registry fix programs allow you to scan & fix registry problems. But, why do these problems appear? And what can you do about them? Let’s see…
Remember when you first got you PC. It almost never crashed, and it started up without you having enough time to go make coffee. But, as you installed and removed software and hardware from your computer, it started to get slower and slower. Now, you are probably experiencing frequent freezes and crashes.
The main cause of these registry problems is that the Microsoft Windows installer leaves behind traces of all of the applications that it uninstalls. This leads to your registry file becoming corrupt, with lots of invalid entries and missing values.
This inefficiency of the Windows installer leads many experts to recommend that you reinstall Windows at least once yearly. But, if you regularly maintain your Windows registry using registry fix tools, this is unnecessary.
In this section I will discuss a 2 step process which will enable you to scan & fix registry problems that you currently have, and also to enable you to keep your Windows registry in tiptop shape going forward:
If you have found errors that you would like to fix after scanning your computer, you would then need to buy a registry cleaner. Just like with the scanner, be sure to choose a reputable company when buying your registry cleaner.
I hope you have learned some useful information in this article. You now know enough about why you would need a registry cleaner, how you would determine whether you need a registry cleaner, and how you would go about choosing a registry cleaner. So, the next time you are waiting endlessly for windows to load that word document, be sure to remember this advice!

While I would argue that the interface of a registry repair tool is not that important, it is definitely a factor when making a decision on whether to purchase any software product. The interface should be easy to use, as well as simple enough to be easy to understand, but complex enough to allow you to do all the things that you require.
In this section, I will look at the interface of Registry Fix, and how easy it is for new users to get it working. I will also discuss the pros and cons of the registry fix interface. After reading this section, you should have a clear understanding of how Registry Fix looks, and whether you will be able to use it even if you know nothing about computers.
As you can see in the above screenshot, Registry Fix as a plain and simple interface. The main screen provides you with most of the basic options, and allows you to select the different areas of your computer and registry that you would like to scan. The most important element, the SCAN NOW button, is clearly highlighted and should be the first thing that you see. The top toolbar contains buttons that allow you to access the preferences, the registry backup functionality, as well as the advanced options and the live update tool.
The screenshot should illustrate the simplicity of the Registry Fix interface. While it isn’t particularly attractive on the eye, it does allow you access to the most important functionality of the tool without requiring you to go through alot of different screens. The basic interface is also beneficial to those with slow computers, as it doesn’t clog up your memory with unnecessary animations and graphics. In terms of ease of use, the simple interface means that the utility is perfectly suitable to the beginner user, or anyone who isn’t an expert when it comes to computers.
In terms of the interface and ease of use, I would certainly recommend Registry Fix, especially to users who are not expert computer users, or who do not want to spend a lot of time learning a new system. Interface star rating: 4.5/5 - Functional and easy to use

Would you like to learn how you can increase your computer’s performance and reduce the number of system crashes and freezes that you experience?
You most probably have a very good idea of how it feels to be working on a document, and just before you save the past half an hour’s worth of work your computer crashes. You also probably remember a time when your computer was not so unstable, and did not crash so frequently.
In this article I will tell you about why registry errors are one of the most common causes of computer crashes and freezes. I will also discuss how you can use free windows registry scan & repair software to locate ussues with your registry and to determine whether you need to fix your computer’s registry. Finally, I will also look at how to automatically repair your windows registry by using registry fix programs to fix the problems that you have found.
After reading this article you will have a much better idea of how you can increase your computer’s performance and reduce the number of unnecessary system freezes and crashes.
Studies indicate that up to 90% of Microsoft Windows computers suffer from registry problems.
These problems include corrupt registry entries, as well as invalid or old entries in the Windows registry. Before we go further, just a quick explanation for those of you who don’t know what a registry is.
The problem with the Windows registry is that their is no control over it, and most programs you uninstall leave behind entries that start to clutter up your computer. This is why over time your Windows computer’s speed will continuously decrease and you will start having more frequent computer freezes and crashes.
Luckily, their is a solution to these problems. And no, it doesn’t involve you going into the registry to remove these invalid entries yourself (please don’t do that, as you may do more harm than good).
The solution is to use windows registry repair software that will scan your entire registry for common causes of windows crashes and errors. These applications are designed to scan your entire registry to locate problems or issues with the registry. While you can try to do this manually, it can take hours, days or even weeks and you may inadvertently do much more harm than good.
After you have scanned you registry for probems, the registry fix program can then get to work fixing the found problems. This will allow you to automatically repair problems with the Windows registry, allowing you to focus on the more fun things in life. Just ensure that before you do any cleanup that the registry cleaner makes a backup of your registry. This is to ensure that you can revert to a working copy if anything goes wrong.
After you have finished with this process your computer should be much more stable and your system’s performance will be better.
You now have a better idea about why registry errors are a common cause of crashes and error messages, how you can use Windows registry repair software to scan your entire registry for common causes of windows crashes and errors, and how you can go to work fixing the problems that the registry cleaner found. Just remember - make sure that you make a backup of your registry before you do any cleanup.
