Comfort is not the single most important objective for some people
when they go RV camping. It can be just as exciting taking the bare
necessities in your RV as it is tent camping.

You've been hearing this since you first logged onto a computer,
"Backup up anything you want to keep." It's kind of like that old
dentist saying, "Only floss between the teeth you want to keep in
your mouth." You come into work on Monday morning. Fire up your
monitor and find an anti-virus warning that someone tried to hack
your servers over the week end. Then you start looking at your
files and folders. Your financial files have been erased, your
inventory is gone, your contact databases are corrupted. How do you
rebuild your business?

can do right now that will relieve the symptoms. You'd probably
like a couple of tips to get you started and will help you. I know

attack symptoms. You're fighting to breathe and you can feel your
heart pounding like a drum and your arms and fingers start to go
numb. It's good to know that someone else shares your feelings.

A cogent question is, are the days of hype numbered? And the answer
is of course, certainly not. There many marketers who still rely on
hype type tricks to deliver a message. The question becomes whether
or not the message is being received and then being acted upon in
the way in which the marketer would judge successful?

So here he has said that the form is not earning as much money and
hitting its income goals and then shortly thereafter says that he
doesn't design his business to make as much money as possible but
rather to allow him to "live the lifestyle" that he wants. Then of
course there's the statement that they may reduce the price of the
forum. This all seems rather strange.

"Small Media" is not a pejorative term. I learned of Small Media in
South Africa. Mass Media reaches a very large quantity of people,
it is expensive and it is very difficult to track its
effectiveness. Mass Media is a good vehicle for "Image Building" if
you are Coke and you'd "Like to teach the world to sing..."

The author states that there are misconceptions about the
differences between Strategic Planning (Strategy) and Management.
The misconceptions came about when corporations in the 1960s began
using strategy and strategic planning to be more competitive with
their rivals. These corporations distorted strategy by viewing it
through a management lens using management systems and tactics.
They co-opted the word strategy and strategic planning and turned
it into management methodology.

The point is dead-on. When I teach marketing messages I do this:
I'm going to tell you two stories, tell me which story you liked
the most. Story #1: I'm very good looking, I'm super smart, People
love me, I make more money than you.

Carry your business cards everywhere, and give then to everyone -
cashiers, grocery stock clerks, people in the bank, at the gas
station, at the grocery etc. These (and your voice) are the least
expensive, most effective marketing tools you have.

Recently there've been several requests for "tag lines" for budding
businesses on forums that help "business start-up people." Business
start-up people are people who are thinking about starting a
business. They may have taken some steps to get their business
started: they have a business name, domain name and an idea for a
business. Entrepreneurs are people who go out and do things, they
might-and-probably-will-not follow a list, so there is a
distinction between these two types of people.

What did we learn? There are many marketing/advertising lessons
her. The biggest lesson is that this dentist chose to build his
practice on relationships. For the relationships to be real the
doctor had to be real.

"How do businesses get new accounts?" That question has at least
two levels of depth. Level 1, Clients want to know the answer to
that question when we tell them we will build a strategic
advertising plan for them. Level 2, How will I get new business?
Thousands of hours of research, hundreds of interviews, observing
successful companies and talking to "rainmakers" led me to develop
and implement a strategic plan with tactical applications that
works.
