International students who have been affected by the closure of their university or other education provider require a new student visa to complete their studies at another school. But since this week they will be exempt from the $540 student visa application fee. In 2009, twelve education providers had been closed, affecting 4,700 students.

Life would be a lot less stressful for international students if there were no exams. Unfortunately study in Australia is not only about active learning but also about showing that you really learned something. But maybe it is most important for students to learn `how to do exams`? Getting experience and learning how to control your stress and emotions will improve your results.

The end of the semester is a stressful time full of exams and assignments.  When you start your study in Australia, it is important to realise that assignments are the most common form of academic tasks in universities and colleges. Often international students write a great story but analysis, conclusions, originals thoughts or recommendations are lacking.

Four out of five Indian students come to study in Australia because they want Permanent Residency. They are often told by local agents how easy it is to get a PR and work in Australia. Well unfortunately it is not that easy. A `PR` allows you to stay in the country and work as long as you wish, it is a first step to possible citizenship. To get a PR via studying in Australia you must apply for a skilled migration visa after your course has finished.

Good news for International students who want to migrate down under after their study in Australia. The Age reported that Australia has the second best quality of life in the world and could pip Norway for top spot next year, the author of a UN report on migration and development says. Australia was ranked second among 182 countries on a scale measuring life expectancy, school enrolments and income in the United Nations Development Program's Human Development Report 2009.
