Dancing With The Stars: Mark Ballas Calls Kate Gosselin ‘Standoffish’

Reality TV mom, Kate Gosselin, has been getting a bad rap for her attitude on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and one dance pro definitely isn’t trying to come to her defense. Reports have been circulating that mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, has been a bit of a diva on the ABC’s Dancing With the Stars‘ set. She’s been laughing the rumors off, but her new co-stars aren’t quite willing to do the same. Dance pro Mark Ballas (who is partnered with actress Shannen Doherty) recently spoke out about the Jon & Kate plus 8 star calling her “standoffish.”

“I’m not the type of person to judge…” Ballas says. ”And I’m not going to be like ‘I don’t like [Kate]…But, I mean, she’s pretty, you know, standoffish, which is kind of weird.” Ballas says that Kate Gosselin didn’t make a very good first impression on him when the ABC’s Dancing With the Stars‘ competitors recently met. ”I don’t really know her, but when I met her she wasn’t kind of like, ‘hello’ or anything. I say ‘hey,’ and she was like ‘oh hey.’ I was like, ‘Okay!’”

Kate Gosselin thinks that rumors about her wanting to be “queen bee” among the ABC’s Dancing With the Stars‘ cast are ridiculous. She says, ”I’m 3,000 miles away! I was out [in L.A.] once for five days and met everyone and had a great time.” Dance pro Mark Ballas hopes that Gosselin’s dance partner will be able to help her with her attitude problem. ”She has a great partner, Tony [Dovolani] who is a dear friend of mine, so I’m sure he will whip her into shape. Whatever you can get out of that!”

Their falling out last fall was caught by The Real Housewives of New York City’s cameras and apparently not a lot has changed in the months since then. Despite all the drama on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, Jill Zarin and Bethenny Frankel seemed to be the only pair on the show with a legitimate, healthy friendship. Unfortunately, that’s not the case anymore. As witnessed by viewers of season three, the two women have parted ways and are no longer friends.

“We were not tight before the show but the show made us tight. I really took her into my life, my heart, my soul, my family like a sister, like a daughter, like a mother, like everything and I loved her. You can’t be hurt if you don’t care about someone. I guess the fact that I was so upset so angry meant that I cared that much,” Jill Zarin says about their falling out.

On recent episodes of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, viewers witnessed as the argument came to a head over a phone call in which Bethenny Frankel told Jill Zarin to “get a hobby.” For Zarin, that was the last straw. “That particular phone call was the straw that broke the camel’s back,” Zarin says, adding that she was hurt most by “what was behind the message which was ‘get off of me.’”

Despite the fact that it cost her a friend on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New York City, Bethenny Frankel doesn’t want to take back her words. She says, “If she’s saying that I told her she needs to get a hobby, then that’s accurate. That’s what I said. I don’t regret anything I’ve said.”

American Idol: Ryan Seacrest Spoils The Results Show For West Coasters

West Coast-based viewers of  American Idol were pretty ticked off on Wednesday when host Ryan Seacrest accidentally spoiled the results show for them. On Wednesday evening, Seacrest took to Twitter to break the news that Lacey Brown was eliminated before the show even aired! Keep reading for more details on the American Idol star’s huge mistake….

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest is loved by his fans for his constant updates via Twitter, but on Wednesday night his West Coast followers and viewers of the FOX singing competition were not so amused. The problem? During a tweet to promote his morning radio show, Ryan Seacrest announced that Lacey Brown was the latest Idol hopeful to be eliminated. The tweet was posted at 8:43pm on the West Coast and the American Idol results show didn’t air until 9pm. ”Packed radio show tomorrow…got tonight’s voted-off idol lacey brown, @orianthi, @thedavidcook, & dakota fanning with deets on ‘Eclipse,’” he wrote.

Fans were outraged by the slip-up and took to Twitter to scold the American Idol host. One follower wrote, ”Thanks for ruining Idol for us on the west coast. You live out here, you should know what time it starts.” It seems his goof might’ve affected ratings since Wednesday night’s results show posted the lowest viewers of American Idol in history.

Ryan Seacrest has yet to issue any sort of apology for the mistake and he didn’t acknowledge it on his radio show Thursday morning either. He has, however, continued to tweet as though nothing has happened. Fellow American Idol star, Randy Jackson, joked about Seacrest’s obsession with Twitter earlier this year when he said, ”Ryan will be twittering during station breaks on the show! I’m like, ‘Dude, are you crazy? Is it this important? Can’t you wait until the show is over?’”

Kitchen Nightmares: Mama Rita’s

Gordon Ramsay heads to Mama Rita’s Mexican Restaurant in Southern California tonight on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX. With a head chef who has no ambition and cannot stay away from the microwave, and an owner who cannot distinguish the difference between a restaurant and a catering company, will Chef Ramsay be able to turn around this 4 month old restaurant before it’s too late? Tonight on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, Gordon Ramsay ends up at Mama Rita’s restaurant where he meets the owner, Laura, whose only prior experience is running a catering company. After being told by customers that her grandmother’s recipes were so good that she needed to open a restaurant, she did. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not doing as well as catering for her and Gordon is determined to find out why and turn it around.

As he walks in Mama Rita’s restaurant on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, Gordon Ramsay quickly realizes that is it surely not the decor as this is one restaurant that is so beautiful he would not to do any work to the restaurant itself. However, after ordering a few dishes off the menu he now knows the problem: the food. He is served dry, dry and more dry Mexican dishes. When the head chef is questioned, she agrees that they are dry, but takes no responsibility, instead she just stands there and says nothing.

After a quick visit to the kitchen, Gordon Ramsay discovers two reasons for the dry foods: a head chef who microwaves everything and months old frozen foods….Ick, no wonder they can’t keep any customers! Upon inspecting the freezer, Gordon Ramsay discovers frozen foods many months, even years old, and he starts trashing everything in there. Gordon lets Laura and her head chef know that they will be starting fresh. Laura cannot seem to take any responsibility as she continues to place the blame on how she handled her catering business. When he brings in some fresh ingredients, Laura is shocked that her head chef cannot come up with a tasty new dish for the menu, instead she makes a chicken breast with salt and garlic powder only.

With dinner service being a complete disaster with food coming back at every corner, Gordon Ramsay decides to rally some locals to come and let Laura know why they will not eat at Mama Rita’s restaurant again. After learning that many people have gotten sick from her food and how bland her food really is, Laura realizes she needs to make changes on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX. Gordon Ramsay wants to start with her lazy head chef, but Laura who is close friends with her, cannot just get rid of her. With this in mind, Gordon Ramsay brings in a chef of his to mentor this kitchen staff in hopes of helping everyone.

After a new menu creation, on relaunch night on Kitchen Nightmares on FOX, Laura’s head chef at Mama Rita’s restaurant can’t handle the pressure, and takes no leadership in the kitchen as her dishes continue to come back undercooked. Unfortunately, even Gordon Ramsay’s mentor chef cannot get through to this head chef who seems to work in catering mode all the time and cannot stay away from the microwave. Gordon Ramsay has a serious chat with Laura, who promises him that the next time he visits, her staff will have changed. Gordon leaves his mentor chef there to continue working on this staff. When he returns, he is pleasantly surprised to see that Laura has hired a new head chef and the restaurant is booming!

Dancing With The Stars: Jake Pavelka’s Dancing Injury

The new season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars hasn’t even premiered yet, but one contestant already has an injury. The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka has pulled three muscles in his back, but the sexy pilot is working through the pain. ABC’s Dancing With the Stars‘ new season kicks off on Monday, March 22nd, but The Bachelor’s Jake Pavelka will be performing in pain. ”Right now, I have three pulled muscles in my back,” Pavelka says after his rigorous dancing schedule. He’s not willing to let a little injury set him back though. ”You just ignore it. I also have two blisters on my feet,” The Bachelor says. “I am not a woe-is-me guy, who plays the sympathy card. It is just what it is.”

Aside from the setback, Pavelka says he’s been working very hard to do well on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars and his new disciplined schedule shows it. After waking up at 5:30am everyday to pray and meditate, The Bachelor fixes a 800-calorie shake made from oatmeal, eggs, a banana and blueberries, and studies dance videos for almost an hour before meeting up with partner, Chelsie Hightower.

Hightower doesn’t seem to think all that extra work is necessary since she has a plan of her own. ”He doesn’t know it yet, but my plan is to make this our secret weapon,” she says while gesturing to Pavelka’s ripped abs. Injured and shirtless or not, one person will be rooting Pavelka towards victory on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars: fiancee Vienna Girardi. ”Vienna is my number 1 fan,” Pavelka says. “She has been incredible through all of this. She will be cheering me on. It might surprise everybody that she might have a couple friends in the audience that people don’t know are friends.”

Top Chef Host Padma Lakshmi Wants Peace & Privacy For Her Baby

The identity of the father of Top Chef host, Padma Lakshmi’s baby has been revealed, but the Bravo star doesn’t want to talk about it. Lakshmi has remained mum for months on the man’s identity, but according to friends of the model and reality TV host, the baby’s father is Adam Dell, a venture capitalist. Naturally the press is curious but the Top Chef host just wants a little peace and privacy from the media as she focuses on her new daughter, Krishna…

Padma Lakshmi, Emmy-award winning host of Bravo’s Top Chef, announced in October that she was expecting but refused to release details on who the father of her child was. Even after she welcomed daughter Krishna Thea in February, she stayed very quiet about the father’s identity. Despite her best efforts, the identity of the man has been revealed. It’s been confirmed that Adam Dell, a venture capitalist, is in fact Krishna’s biological dad, but Lakshmi doesn’t want to talk about him. ”I have a newborn!” Lakshmi says. “I just want some peace and privacy.”

A source close to the Top Chef host says, ”They had an on-and-off minimal relationship that ended many, many months ago.” When Lakshmi announced her pregnancy in October, it was obvious that Dell was no longer in the picture, but now that Krishna has arrived, is Dell getting to see his daughter? ”There already is a very fair agreement in place,” says the source. “She doesn’t want anything from him. She’s juggling all of this with motherhood and preparing to go back to work and it’s a lot to handle.”

American Idol: Bo Bice Chops Off 15 Inches of Hair

Bo Bice, the second place runner up in American Idol’s fourth season is releasing a new album in May and in preparation, he’s given himself a whole new look! The long-haired, laid-back star recently chopped off 15 inches of his hair–donating part of it to Locks of Love–in an effort to unveil a brand new Bo Bice. Fans of American Idol remember Bo Bice as the guy who very nearly beat Carrie Underwood on the show’s fourth season. Although he hasn’t achieved quite the same level of fame as some of his American Idol counterparts, Bice has put out two previous albums and is gearing up to release a third this May. His new album, 3, will be available on May 18th and fans can expect something a bit different from the American Idol runner-up.

“I have a new project with a new style of music, incorporating more country elements,” Bice says. And what better way to unveil a new sound than with a new look? To prepare for the musical changes, Bice decided to give himself a little physical makeover by chopping off 15 inches of his long locks. “With all these new aspects going on in my career, it was just another thing that I felt needed a bit of change.”

To make the transition easier, the American Idol star cut his hair in two different shifts. He recently chopped 10 inches that he donated to Locks of Love, followed by another cut where he had an additional five inches of hair cut off. “It was a gradual change for this long-haired country boy,” he says. He tells People magazine that it’s just “new music, new look” but the “same Bo Bice.”

The Hills: Heidi Montag Fires Psychic Manager

It’s only been a week since Heidi Montag, star of MTV’s The Hills, announced she was relieving husband Spencer Pratt of career management duties to replace him with Malibu psychic, Aiden Chase, but now Montag has announced Chase is fired too. The Hills star has decided that she doesn’t neither either man managing her career; she’ll simply manage it herself! It seems the stars just weren’t aligning for Heidi Montag, star of MTV’s The Hills, and her new psychic manager, Aiden Chase. Montag announced last week that she was replacing her husband Spencer Pratt with Chase in the role of manager. The MTV reality star said she worked with Chase, an “intuitive healer” for a month following her ten plastic surgery procedures before offering him the job as her manager. ”Unfortunately recent behavior by Mr. Chase on set of both Just Go With It starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, and Nicole Kidman, and [on] The Hills have made me question this decision,” Montag says.

“I have decided to part ways with Mr. Chase both as a manager and as a psychic and will scrutinize my business decisions more carefully in the future,” Montag says. “I will now be managing my own career as a strong and independent woman.” The Hills star wouldn’t elaborate on what Chase’s unbecoming behavior consisted of, although rumors are circulating that during his time on the set of the MTV reality show, he attempted to recruit co-star Audrina Patridge as a client.

Chase denies these claims saying, ”Heidi invited me to the set of Just Go With It and the terms of our financial agreement are in line with standard manager/talent agreements. I spoke with Audrina Patridge briefly when I was on the set of The Hills with Heidi recently, but never discussed being her manager.” He also states that ”At this time, I am not aware of any change in my business relationship with Heidi Montag.” Perhaps he should’ve seen this one coming.

Models Of The Runway: Girls Night Out

The runway show is over and the models are back on another new episode of Models of the Runway on Lifetime. This week the models are headed for a girls night out, but will they be able to enjoy it or worry about elimination the entire time? See who gets eliminated this week by clicking below for all the details!

After teasing Valeria for a bit about her “crush” on Seth Aaron, Heidi Klum sends the girls to get some individual makeup lessons where they learn how to create their favorite looks for themselves instead of having someone else do it for them. Then, the girls head out for a girls night out on the town to ease their minds a little. Lorena and Brittany however, are unable to go out as they are still underage, which seems to please the older girls just fine.

Holly really tried to keep elimination off her mind as she became the life of the party at the girls night out on Models of the Runway on Lifetime. Holly was pretty confident that despite her being Amy’s model this week (even though, Emilio would choose her again. Brandise, while happy to work with Emilio is hoping that Mila will choose her again as they work so well together. Hope both girls get what they wish for.

After their girls night out, it was elimination time on Models of the Runway on Lifetime and Emilio was up first to choose, followed by Seth since they were the winners of the challenge. Emilio chose Lorena in a shocker, while Seth chose Valeria yet again. Up next, Jonathan chose Cerri as normal, and Anthony chose Kristina over Monique. Mila chose Brandise and was thrilled to get her back.

With Monique, Holly and Brittany left on Models of the Runway on Lifetime, Maya was up next and chose Monique. Last up to choose was Jay and he decided to stay with Brittany, big shocker there. So this means Holly is out, despite the fact that she is by far one of the best. On to bigger and better things for Holly!
