Beautiful set. The price is $10.00 because there was originally 4 salad bowls and one broke. If you are single and have 2 guests, no problem! We usually use the bowls individually for serving side dishes or we will use the set for serving chips and dips. These bowls make whatever you put in them look beautiful - even potato chips! Purchased in Big Fork, Montana for the artisan who created it. The eggplant-purple center is indented slightly from the wider outer rim that is painted in a wonderful pear/leaf design. There are multi-colored squares painted on the indentation separating the center from the rim.
Plate is 12 inches across and sits about 1/4 inch off the table to make a beautiful display of whatever you may put on it.
