Grey-white aerospace grade titanium is often advertised as the distinctive metal for mens jewelry. While it is ideal for masculine sleek creations, it is also an elegant contemporary metal that designers are using for womens engagement rings, wedding bands, promise rings, purple and pink rings, heart rings, tension set diamond solitaire rings, as well as for hypoallergenic earring designs that ladies, who are allergic to other metals, can wear with comfort.
Womens titanium rings are by no means limited to plain, geometric or industrial designs that often distinguish mens titanium rings, in fact, some of the most elaborate titanium wedding rings with diamonds and gemstones are now being created especially for women. There are titanium engagement ring choices in clean uncluttered contemporary styles like blue titanium rings, as well as traditional bridal designs that mimic platinum; also intricate Celtic titanium ring styles, and titanium gold rings with contrasting yellow and rose-gold inlays.
Many titanium rings for women incorporate sapphires, rubies, pink gemstones, garnets and other colored precious gemstones in some of the most singular styles available on the jewelry market today. Women’s titanium rings can also be custom crafted by many independent titanium jewelers who specialize in creating one of a kind pieces for the ladies, and also creating HIS & Hers wedding sets for couples who wish to match.
If gold is not your ideal color and silver isn’t durable enough (or makes you itch or turns your finger green), and if platinum is a bit to expensive, then titanium may be the perfect alternative metal for your engagement ring or wedding set that will be practical, stylish, comfortable and within your budget.
Edward Mirell has some womens titanium rings and jewelry styles like the South Beach line that retails through an online jewelry shop called Titanium-Jewelry who have some outstanding womens styles like the Rainbow Sapphire Ring with scattered bezel set sapphires and a matching Rainbow Sapphire Titanium Heart Necklace and earrings. The rings in this collection are avant-garde, but could offer a wedding band or bridal jewelry option for those who seek something untraditional.
One unique piece of jewelry for the ladies, that is not exactly titanium but rather even harder tungsten, is the Citadel Engraved Tungsten Ring by ArtCarved that is available through Titanium-Jewelry, which has a Celtic etching around the tungsten band making for a stylish ladies’ wedding ring.
For other womens titanium Celtic ring style there’s a little online shop called Apples of Gold, which carries Celtic rings, eternity knots, Celtic wedding bands, infinity wedding band ring choices, Maltese cross ring, titanium cross wedding band sets and lots of Celtic heart and love knot wedding band designs that are perfect for women, and only cost about $300.
Titanium-Jewelry has a few ladies rings, bridal rings and wedding ring sets, like the matching His & Hers bands by bridal jewelry expert Diana Classic. These matching wedding sets come in palladium grey or a blend of black titanium and platinum. There are also some flat womens rings with a satin finish that are simple and classy. The Artcarved womens titanium wedding bands and bridal rings are also a great choice, like the Blackburn black and grey ultra polished titanium wedding band that looks like platinum or the Mystique by ArtCarved which is a unique black titanium ring with a gold groove that makes a lovely womens wedding band, and the Dorian which is also a mix or titanium and gold but less expensive than the Mystiqe at just under $350.
The one style that really sets titanium womens’ rings apart from other engagement and wedding ring creations is the marvelous selection of titanium tension set diamond rings.
Some may also have other gemstones, likewise tension-set in a
small top opening in the titanium band that acts like a vice
grip for holding the diamond or gemstone in place. The great
feature of these titanium womens rings is that the diamonds or
gemstones really sparkle and stand out much better than in
traditional settings because there is no metal setting or
prongs to hinder the flow of light that can pass through the
stone.
Some of the best tension set diamond ring designs are sold
through Titanium-Jewelry, and here are some womens ring styles
that are unique and affordable bridal ring options.
The titanium rings are all very durable and will not tarnish and are hypoallergenic and ideal for those ladies who are active in sports or who swim in chlorinated pools. Chlorine does not tarnish or corrode titanium jewelry. It is also comfortable because of being extremely light.

Women’s titanium rings have never been so delicate and lace-like than the ones designed by the Arnell Workshop and sell through The Titanium Workshop online. They have created a line of engagement rings, wedding bands and titanium promise rings that incorporate some of the classic womens ring styles with precious metal inlays blended seamlessly into titanium, as well as colored and hand carved titanium rings that work for wedding bands, promise rings or fashion accessories for any wardrobe. They have also developed one of the largest titanium Celtic ring collections available online.
The delicacy of their Celtic rings is reminiscent of fairylands, of knights and princesses and sorcerers from the legendary tales. In fact the names of their pieces will naturally be familiar with pieces such Alynore, Merlin, Morrigan or within the knots of the Oriana titanium ring or the Tristan or the hearts of Amore and the enchanting Morgane and Guinevere womens titanium ring that are under $400.
They also offer a line of titanium Claddagh rings for engagement ring and wedding band options with the traditional Celtic Irish heart and hands forged in the durable titanium metal.
And for a scattered version of diamonds in eternity bands with a contemporary feel that match well with more traditional engagement rings, they offer three distinctive womens titanium wedding bands with diamond, which are aptly named Lunar Eclipse, Facia and the Contour.
These unusual wedding band or titanium promise ring styles are perfect for women who want the strength of titanium without giving up the glamour and sparkle of precious stones.
The world of womens titanium ring creations would be incomplete without mentioning Avant-Garde Co. who specialize in custom handmade titanium rings that are individually hand finished and come with a wide range of metal inlays like yellow and rose gold or platinum and titanium, blending precious sapphires, rubies, moissanite and diamonds in original womens wedding and engagement ring styles. Their tension set titanium wedding bands feature the strongest titanium like the Flat Titanium Ring series, that features emerald cut stones for unique titanium diamond, ruby ring, garnet ring or green tourmaline ring styles that are in titanium bands polished to a mirror-like finish and all priced at around $300.
For the lady who wants something personal, not factory made or manufactured for the masses, there’s a small company called Artifact that creates individual titanium pieces for the individual woman. One such creation is the women’s titanium wedding band that features an 18 carat rose gold inlay in a satin finish. The rose gold is a rich pink color that gives the titanium band a stripe of femininity. This ring could be an excellent wedding band or a unique titanium promise ring from a friend or lover.
Artifact has a coupe other titanium band ring styles that are great for women such as the womens titanium ring with gold inlayed swirls with your choice of a brushed or polished finished. The other ring that is outstanding is a womens colored titanium band that has two grooves of purple, green or blue anodized titanium. These rings are excellent promise rings, womens wedding bands or even just as fashionable accessories.
For another complete line of womens titanium ring choices there is Titanium Rings Studio and their online retail shop called Ti Rings who handcraft women’s designer rings from titanium, platinum and gold with collections of titanium promise rings, diamond engagements rings and wedding bands for him and her. They also have Celtic rings, Christian rings, promise rings, and the exclusive Jacob Lee Hansard designer wedding rings that are all one of a kind.
One examples of their best casual and fun womens titanium rings designs is the Polka Dot which is a customizable titanium ring with colorful polka dot circles in your choice of blue, green, yellow, orange, teal or white.
For a more formal womens titanium engagement ring there’s the 5.5mm platinum ring with a classic prong solitaire setting that mixes platinum and 4 diamonds on a domed titanium band. This is a gorgeous classic diamond solitaire engagement ring with a the high-tech durability of titanium metal.
Many couples are choosing Christian rings from Titanium Rings Studio for their wedding bands because they blend the symbols of their faith with the durability of titanium bands.
These titanium Christian rings feature sterling silver, platinum and gold inlays and some have precious stones, colored crosses and even diamond accents. They are all hand made, etched and polished in traditional and modern patterns of devotion; trinity cross rings and Maltese crosses that can be engagement rings or wedding bands as easily as they can be first communion rings, chastity rings or even Christian friendship or promise rings.
The most elaborate of all is the Holy Trinity titanium and diamonds ring with a series of three crosses and in the center of each a diamond. There is a less expensive version of the same ring without the diamonds that retails for just $300.
For women who seek something really unusual in a titanium wedding band or promise ring, there’s the curious designs of Mr. Ed Ferguson from Cascadia Design Studio who has such fabulously peculiar pieces like the blue Ambigram Rings and the unique Kanji Rings with Japanese Kanji symbols etched in the titanium bands and accented with a contrasting color.
The last suggestion for women’s titanium rings with a twist of strange and exotic is the line of Hawaii Titanium rings from Kailua-Kona Hawaii which have collections for women that incorporate exotic hard wood in their titanium rings as well as a variety of mineral inlay titanium rings that are inspired from tribal motifs as well as the earth, sea and stone from which they are crafted.
Although there are many colorful patterns inlayed into these unique titanium bands, there are also some sleek white stone inlays that sparkle and would make beautiful womens titanium wedding bands. Some of the best in the series are the Black Opal Titanium Ring, the gorgeous white Ulexite inlay titanium ring or the ruby, citrine and emerald tension set ring.

Mens titanium bracelet styles come in designs that range in price from around $70 for black sporty cable and link creations to over $400 for an elegantly blended, inlaid or linked titanium gold bracelet. Here are suggestions in different price ranges and styles:
Even men who wear little jewelry, often appreciate a bracelet, especially one made from an aerospace metal that’s strong as steel yet lightweight, that’s also not affected by corrosion, tarnishing or scratching, and is totally hypoallergenic. Titanium bracelets can be worn by men who don’t want to worry about their jewelry, even if it might suffer a little abuse on the job, or even for athletes who perspire while training or swim in chlorinated pools. One of the most popular sporty style bracelets for men is the Phiten titanium bracelet that’s slim, very light to wear, resists scratching and is constructed of solid links and sphere ingots for strength, durability and versatility. It’s not the cheapest piece of mens jewelry on the market but it is preferred by athletes and active men who value understated casual elegance and the comfort of quality. The bracelet costs about $230 and is sold through the Phiten company and other online sports goods dealers.
For those who wear a bracelet for health reasons, for example the magnetic ones, which many believe alleviate pain, help restore blood circulation or aid in rejuvenation and energetic vitality, there are now titanium magnetic bracelet designs that have neodymium magnets (the strongest magnets produced) strategically placed within the titanium links. Some of these bracelets are very affordable, starting at around $50 for a design that has 13 magnets with a total strength of 39000 gauss. The magnets are sealed and invisible from the outside, so the bracelet has the appearance of nothing more than a tasteful masculine, half inch wide piece of jewelry that’s finely crafted. There are cheaper versions for under $20 and those that have more elaborate two-tone links or chains, others with more magnets embedded and some with gold accents that cost over $100.
The black titanium bracelet designs that you can choose from are vastly different. For example there’s one that has a black cable inlaid in the white metal, and others made entirely from cable with one or two or more cords forming the bracelet. For some of the most stylish titanium chain bracelet styles on the market, you’ll want to see the Edward Mirell collections, especially the Racer, Mediterranean, Tuxedo and Wellington lines.
These are not cheap items, most are around $450 to $500 each, but they are extremely well made, some with silver, platinum and gold inlays, others with solid black titanium bands joined by geometric white titanium accents and all have the most technologically advanced finishes. Shopping for Edward Mirell titanium bracelets for men is easy since there are several official online distributors that have the designer’s complete collections.
If you’d like a taste of Edward Mirell quality but can’t afford the designer jewelry in the top collections we recommend, then here’s an affordable alternative: the Edward Mirell titanium tri-link bracelet that costs just under $200 and is very chic with clean rectangular links separated by polished black titanium inlays.
An engravable men’s ID bracelet in titanium will cost around $80
to just over $100 in the chain or link style. There are some that
are solid titanium and others that have black carbon fiber
accents and others that have stainless steel or silver inlays.
Sometimes the area that is to be engraved will be a softer metal,
since titanium is very, very hard and can only be engraved with a
laser. However, it is possible to get laser engraving on the
bracelets that are solid titanium, and this can be done at the
time of ordering or at your local engraver. Titanium Kay offers
some good choices as does the JewelBasket, but the most practical ones are the brushed
titanium cuff bracelet designs that are wider and therefore can
be personalized in many ways, with initials, full names, sports
team logos or almost any motif.
Engravable cuff styles also come as medical alert bracelets and are practical since the surface area available for the medical insignia and personal information is larger than the average chain or link style design.
The medic alert items are available online through JewelBasket.
The titanium chain bracelet styles cost between $200 and $400, while the simple cuff designs are much more affordable at under $70.
There are also children’s and ladies versions that are smaller and are even cheaper.
If you need a new watch band, strap or bracelet to replace a leather, plastic or rubber one, a good choice is to go with titanium. You can get a bracelet for your watch starting at around $50 depending on the length and width and style you need to match the timepiece. WatchStyle has some good designs from Diver Deployant to Pusher Deployant and even fixed ends. Choose your finish, lug width and bracelet length to customize your bracelet you fit your wrist and fit the design.
Heavenly Treasures has a real bargain on a titanium gold bracelet
for men that has just a touch of yellow and costs only $198. Many
other styles that have 14k yellow gold inlays or links are much
more expensive.
If you seek a performance style piece of jewelry that’s black titanium with 14k yellow gold accents, you’ll love some of the items in the EM sport cuff collection by Edward Mirell. In particular there’s one high-end design called Midnight that’s a 12mm cuff bracelet with two inlaid gold cables at the top. The cuff fits an 8 inch wrist. It’s sold through fine Edward Mirell distributors like the J.R. Yates online shop called Titanium-Jewelry and costs about $550.

Natural, comfortable, allergy free, hypoallergenic, non-magnetic, lighter than platinum, stronger than steel, noncorrosive, virtually indestructible and will last a lifetime …sounds like a good list of qualities for starting a marriage! Titanium wedding rings are not only a practical and aesthetic choice for your rings but a symbolic touch of strength, durability and longevity that matches the lifetime promises you are about to make.
Titanium is a natural metal that lends itself well to wedding rings and bridal sets because it’s silver-white in color and much stronger than gold, silver or even platinum. It need not be industrial-looking either. It can be polished to a shine that is much like platinum and much more lustrous than silver or white gold.
And for the man who will wear his wedding ring every day, titanium is less likely to dent or be bent out of shape or get scratched than a gold wedding ring. For bride with sensitive skin who hopes she will be able to wear her wedding rings from the moment she says “I do” without removing them, the fact that this metal is 100% hypoallergenic will make her a little happier.
There’s nothing worse than loving your rings and not being able to wear them because you’re allergic. Titanium wedding and engagement rings will not irritate your skin or leave discoloration, and on top of that you needn’t remove them for work because they can withstand heat and light and chemicals and salt and chlorine and even perspiration without any ill effects.
The best part is that these products are now created in so many styles that you can even have your sparkling diamonds mounted into titanium settings or choose cubic zirconia or a tanzanite ring with a band. There are black titanium rings that are unique and may make a personal statement about you that a traditional gold wedding band would never do. For men, titanium sounds less girly than gold or silver, and the guys can say things like, “my wedding ring’s made from aircraft grade titanium alloy and it’s 3 times stronger than steel, ” while the ladies can still dote over the sparkle in HER wedding ring setting.
Since wedding rings are intended to be worn for a lifetime, it’s not at all surprising that brides and grooms are choosing titanium rings that will prove resistant to everyday wear and will not readily lose their shine or shape.
There are different grades of titanium jewelry – basic grade, aircraft grade and extra hard aircraft grade alloy. It’s important to note that the inexpensive basic grade titanium is only a little more resistant to scratch and denting than regular gold. That is why many people choose aircraft grade or titanium alloy so it really lasts a lifetime.
Gold is tradition, white gold is clean, silver is fresh, platinum is chic but expensive, while titanium is clean and fresh and chic and inexpensive. In it’s natural state titanium rings are white with a hint of smoked grey, close to platinum in color, and with much richer and deeper tones than silver or white gold. However this metal can be altered through a thermal or electrolytic treatment which changes or enhances its color. Such rings are said to be anodized, and although not a durable as plain titanium, the results are stunning.
Unique titanium rings can be accented in blues, teal greens, and rich wine colors that are impossible to achieve with other precious metals.
No. They may outlive you, but they won’t last forever. Depending on the grade you choose for your jewelry, they will scratch and become worn looking EVENTUALLY. It is more a question of what you do while wearing your rings. Most rings, be they gold or silver or platinum, look perfect for a year or two and then begin to show wear.
In the same manner, titanium rings will need a polish or a scrub to refresh them, but the great thing about them is that they will NEVER tarnish like silver or become stained. They can also be refinished if you want to maintain the original shine or frosted look that has dulled over the years.
There is another thing about titanium rings, and that is its ability to withstand dents and deformation. I have seen so many expensive gold wedding bands totally bent out of shape. This will not happen with a titanium ring. It would take such an enormous amount of abuse that it is doubtful your hand would withstand it.
It has been brought up recently that titanium rings can be dangerous because they are so strong that in the case of an emergency, should the rings need to be cut off, they will be difficult to cut through. While it is true that titanium is strong and damage resistant, hospitals and paramedics have electric ring cutters that easily cut through any ring. So it is not an issue of titanium or gold or silver but just an issue of wearing rings in the first place. If you work in a profession where your wedding ring may create a danger to you or to those who you work with, no matter if they are made of it is best to consider removing them.
Titanium rings are comfortable in general, but jewelers use the term “comfort fit” which applies specifically to the roundness of the edges and the inner dome shape of a ring -the rounder the edges and the better shaped interior dome of a ring the more comfortable. This science of comfort has been perfected for gold wedding rings, and for many titanium products this is also true. They are either “comfort fit” or “semi comfort fit” except for some which are known as slim, stealth or the ones with tension settings.
If you are not a ring wearer and you are concerned about the square edges of a very modern titanium wedding ring that you have selected, I recommend, before buying online, trying a few rings that are similar in a jewelry shop near you.
No. If the difference in size is greater than what can be done by titanium rod tightening then a wire (or “drop”) is inserted into the inner side of the ring. Most people comment that it doesn’t bother them, however it can change the way the ring feels against your skin if you are sensitive. If the size difference is really big, then it can be expensive to resize because the entire ring will need to be, practically, remade.
It can cost $50 – $100 to resize a titanium ring, and therefore may be better to buy a new one. If it is your ring then perhaps it will be a small price to pay.
Titanium rings, be they men’s rings, ladies sets, wedding or engagement rings can all be engraved the same as gold or silver. Engraving titanium wedding rings is often included in the price of the rings.
You know your lady well and she’s an unconventional gal. She’s not into gold or diamonds and she seldom wears pearls or lace. But she’s classy and smart and you know she’ll love a titanium engagement ring if you can find the right one.
Great. You know what you want. That’s a good start because engagement ring shopping is hard enough without wander aimlessly through jewelry shops and searching online galleries and catalogs of rings upon rings in every precious metal and shape known to man.
First, determine a general budget. Is it $20 or $2,000?
Second, determine if she will be happiest with white or smoked titanium rings or would prefer something in black. Will she want a diamond, crystal, cubic zirconia, pearl or other precious stone? Would a colored titanium band be best? Would a plain ring suit her style? Will the engagement ring double as wedding ring? Will she be matching a mens titanium ring for you to what you give to her?
Although there may be a million variations, titanium rings fall into these general categories:
Titanium is Ti with an atomic number 22. It´s aerospace and shuttle ship friendly. Its resistant to almost everything that could harm it. Its very people friendly and doesn’t even get rejected if used as a bone in your body. Its stronger than steel and lighter than platinum.
It can be alloyed with iron, aluminum and tin. It can become anything from a jet engine to a bicycle frame or even end up as a filling in your tooth. It can be shaped into a piece of jewelry or made into a titanium pipe.
Yes, titanium is amazing. But it isn´t Black!
Its white, perhaps a little smoky or steel grey, but never naturally black. In order to have black titanium rings its necessary to heat the metal or pass it through an electric bath or otherwise subject it to a process to change it from white to black. And that is why sometimes the black on titanium, that´s actually not part of titanium, may disappear or become scratched and ugly looking long before the ring is very old. This surprises many ring buyers because one of the main reasons to buy titanium is the fact that they are almost indestructible and won´t get scruffy looking and will withstand a lot of abuse.
It all begins with the grade of titanium that the rings will be made from. Although there are some 50 grades only half of them are used for commercial purposes, and even fewer are used in the making of black titanium rings.
A specific alloy with the right blend of trace metals and elements react to high temperatures by becoming black. The black forms from the outside of the metal and, depending on the length of time subjected to the heat, the temperature and other atmospheric conditions, the black will penetrate or deepen into the titanium.
Once the blackening has begun, the outer side of the metal being treated becomes hard and changes to a structure resembling ceramic. Therefore black titanium rings are extremely hard, but the problem of the black chipping or getting scratched off depends entirely on the depth to which the blackening has occurred.
The highest quality rings have been treated until the blackness has gone about half-way through the thickness of the ring. These rings will not lose their black so easily. However, since this is a costly and time consuming procedure, the less expensive products are blackened only superficially. This will account for the huge price variation in mens titanium rings that appear similar.
If a black titanium ring is $30 and another is $300 there is a very good reason. It’s not just because someone is earning more money. In the case of mens titanium wedding rings you really do get what you pay for. It is essential for you to know exactly what you’re buying or that eternal ring you slip on your finger may be very temporary.
However, if you’re looking for fun rings that aren’t going to take much abuse and aren’t going to be wedding or engagement rings then go for an inexpensive design that suits your fancy and your budget.
There are some excellent options for a titanium ring that you can order online and that can be a great gift for a groomsman or a friend without putting you in the poorhouse, and they are one of the most popular mens rings today.
Here are some suggestions in a variety of qualities and price ranges:

Men wear rings. Yes they do. Even if your dad doesn’t wear anything other than his gold wedding band, and even if your husband only wears his wedding band three times a year and once on your anniversary, there are zillions of men who love their jewelry as much as the ladies. And what’s more, men who love rings look for distinctive pieces that go with their individuality more so than women who may have a whole jewelry box full of rings given as gifts or purchased on impulse.
Gentlemen and their rings is a whole different world. Men’s rings are works of art carefully selected as statements about who they are. The problem is finding those exclusive pieces. Unique men’s titanium rings are filling a gap that has existed for a long time since they are strong, durable and now customizable and stylish as never before.
The point is that men wear rings, sometimes more than women, and the designs are often more bold and make bigger statements than the little delicate rings for the ladies. Men who love jewelry really love their rings. And recently I have been surprised how many men are choosing titanium rings instead of gold or silver or platinum. First because, unless you are a flashy gold kind of guy, gold isn’t intrinsically a man’s metal except for a traditional wedding band. And silver looks worn very quickly and dents and gets bent out of shape, and platinum is a bit pricey if you like to indulge in ring binges.
Titanium, however, is the choice of gentlemen who work hard because they are durable. Most of the men I know with titanium rings said they chose them because of the unusual modern designs and because there are incredibly unique products that simply are not available in other metals.
And they were not referring to the industrial styles. Some men have unique titanium rings that are polished to a satin finish and have a chrome-like reflection. Others choose brushed titanium rings with directional texture and others have Celtic etchings and knots or cables. Some have open tops with no gemstones, others prefer masculine-square, and a few have selected unique titanium rings with wooden inlays.
For unique men’s titanium rings that aren’t just metal or precious stone but have color, there are anodized titanium rings. “Anodized” means that the titanium has been subjected to oxidization through a thermal treatment or an electrolytic bath that creates a colorful oxide layer on top of the titanium. Although the actual titanium ring has not changed color, the visible outer layer can be luminous green-turquoise-teal, blue-periwinkle-marine or reddish-purple-magenta.
It’s not about dying the ring or altering its metallic structure, it’s just a reaction that titanium has to heat and electrical currents. There are very unique men’s titanium rings that have been anodized, polished, brushed, etched or blackened.
Good quality black titanium rings are a unique choice for mens titanium rings. Black titanium rings are made from high grade titanium and heated or treated to produce the black effect. It is similar, in theory, to anodized titanium, but different in that if properly done it will not be just a thin coating on top of the titanium but should penetrate the metal, at least halfway through the ring.
Cheap black titanium rings are not a good choice. They will lose their blackness, and can be easily scratched, defeating the purpose of going with durable, scratch and dent resistant titanium in the first place. You should be paying no less than $200 to $1,000 for good quality black titanium rings. The $50 rings are not worth it!
Here are some that may be worth considering:
